Thumbs up The Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird appreciation thread

So, I decided to make this thread because I didnt see one. Dont like what Laird has done with vol.4? Fine. But, this thread is to show thanks to Mr.Laird and even Eastman. This forum is full of people who love to talk smack about the guys that gave us this awesome franchise. And while this is after all a discussion forum, and we cant all have the same opinion on them, I think we can all agree they are very important people. Atleast to me. The dad's of the Tmnt.

I know Laird sometimes visits the forum, not too sure about Kevin. So, lets show them that we cherish all the good work they have done over the years.

So, this thread is basically a place to share stories o when you met them at cons or had a good experience with them that you would like to share.

I have never met Peter but I have met and talked with Kevin twice and I can honstly say he is the NICEST artist I have ever met in my life. Very down to earth. And doesnt even charge for sketches. A very rare thing nowadays.

I'd just like to thank them for creating one of the best forms of entertainment that I've had pretty much through my whole life.

The fact that I still enjoy the same thing now that I did when I was 4 years old says a lot.

I can't wait to meet Kevin Eastman in October! The first thing I'm going to say is "Thank you for giving me such an awesome childhood!"

I already met Pete, but never met Kevin in person even though I am friends with him on Facebook. I thank them very much for what they made and I'm sure it was really hectic. Without them, every single one of us 'Dromers wouldn't be here at all.

Absolutely true, and I don't even need another thread to bash, 'cause I have nothing to bash about!

Peter and Kevin are the main reason I enjoyed such a great franchise when I was 8 and still now that I'm 30. Turtles is the one thing I truly love among cartoons, comics and toys.

I'm going to meet Kevin for the first time at the NYCC. Heck! It'll be the first time to meet some Dromers and Turtle VA's. But Kevin is high on my list, I mean he is the creator!
Peter and Kevin, thanks for everything.

I'd take a bullet for either of them, real talk.
TMNT = the preventer of suicidal thoughts.
Kinda ironic that I'd die for the franchise & those affiliated though. LOL!

sadly I might never meet them. Maybe one day, when I got enough cash to take a trip to the US. but as things are now...

dreaming being a comic-book artist, they both are a great inspiration.

two of the main reasons why I wanna try my hand at being some sort of comic artist/graphic designer/ tatto person. They made something awesome out of a mutual respect of a gerat artist.

The coolest thing was, they created something that caught on big, and it was THEIRS. Whatever bullcrap came out, those two guys called all the shots. They didn't sign anything away (not 'til many years later) and that's what's awesome.

I love the Ninja Turtles but even more than that, I love the idea that two guys could come up with a goofy concept and that it could come to be known the whole world over. When they're both dead and gone, there will be kids playing with stuff based on a wacky idea they came up with late one night fighting boredom. That's awesome.

Yes. This is one of the things that I love about this entire franchise. It started so small. Just 2 friends goofing around and drawing. Much like alot of us artists do around here. And they made it big. Small, humble beginings to a world wide frenzy. Its like, the american dream.

There's not enough words that can show my appreciation for Laird and Eastman. As goofy and crazy as this sounds, without TMNT I have no idea where I'd be right now. These are the only two guys that I can honestly say that I look up to. Thank the both of you, really, thank you .

My heartfelt thanks to both Pete and Kevin for creating 4 heroes who I still love as much today as I did when I was a kid.

I came into the franchise through the old toon, but it was their original comics that got me hooked again when I grew up (hard to believe that was about 10 years ago now!) and are the reason I still love the characters today.

As others have said they have lived the American Dream, to start from nothing and create something that millions have embrassed all over the world. There's really no words that can describe how incredible that is.

Thank you for 25 years of memories.
