TMNT beatem-up WIP

I started the game a couple of days ago,so here are some early WIP screenshots,later ill record some video gameplay:







It will be playable on PSP,PC ,Dingoo ,Wii and other consoles, 4 players.
I want to keep movie style mostly,any ideas,sprites,backgrounds are welcomed if they fit of course.Thanks for looking.

U can make your own Wii games? Are you gonna be selling these? or just gonna keep it for you?

It appears that it's 4 player?

You should have Alternate color of Turtles like the "comic" setting in Turtles In Time..

I dont want to have archie style or 80's animated characters ,i would like this game to be abit more serious and resemble first movie,later when ill finish the game maybe ill add special mode with mirage style characters and black/white stages like this sprite:

I cant make Wii games but this will be playable on Wii through homebrew.Its made on OpenBOR engine,here is how my previous game looked like :

So TMNT would have similar gameplay
Colour scheme is easy thing to do so maybe ill add that later ,we will see,i had to edit those snes sprites ,didnt liked heads on them.IF you have some edits or Splinter sprite that could match those then please post some.

This looks fantastic!Those custom sprites of yours really reflect a unique movie inspired style plus the animations are all very fluid and properly aligned. You really seem to know what you're doing, good luck with this undertaking. I'll see what resources I can scrounge up in your aid.

Right now i am making stages ,so if anyone would like to bring some ideas here are parts and my stage for example :

Amazing! Not only the gameplay, but your sprites look superb!

I'll be playing this for sure.

Interestingly, I am also making a mod in Openbor.... but a much less abitious one, based on the old NES games. I'll probably never finish it at this rate, LOL.

Maybe to program all four turtles with the same moves, to ease the workload? Creating characters in OpenBOR sometimes is a pain in the arse...

Xav they would have weapons on knockdown attacks not in idle anims also foot soldiers would have some weapons too,its second day so be patient,if you have ideas then post some,game will be changing day by day so if you would like to have something in the game then now its good time to tell about it.
I was thinking about special move where one turtle would go to wait animation and wait until second turtle connects with him and they would attack together ,kinda co-op attack in duet but im still thinking how it should look like,maybe like this rolling from tmnt movie where raphael and leonardo are rolling on each other then raph performs roundhouse kick.I am not sure if people would want to waste time to do such moves maybe they prefere to fight apart not together like that.
I can also make it so for example leonardo wouldnt have to be in wait animation but raphael could jump at him and they would roll together ,i dont know ,this might be annyoying cause you would interrupt second player and jump at him a lot in the middle of the moves.
I think i did turtles without weapons for purpose cause i liked tournament fighters on NES more than on SNES,i liked that they were without weapons,i disliked SNES sprites but i edited them and i like them now.
I wish i could make running animation... i dont know,i would like also to have casey jones,edited from other character of course.It wouldnt be that hard but finding base character might be tricky.Casey was my favourite in tournament fighters on NES and then Don.

@bwwd: I like where your thought process is with the Team Attacks. Team Specials have been a staple of a lot of classic beat em ups. Streets of Rage had team attacks where one player would grab the second then vault over the other and launch themselves into an aerial shoulder charge. To implement this in the same fashion you'd need to keep friendly-fire on, it is something to consider. Team-attacks in the Konami Simpsons Arcade game worked a bit differently though where I think both players were granted invincibility during the move- This could be major incentive for using team attacks as opposed to not.

You could try to edit a running animation together from the Tournament Fighters NES sprites. I think they'd fit well when re-done in your custom style:

New edit, i did it cause snes sprites didnt had running anim,it wasnt easy.

I used those as reference

But i see that you posted those when i was making it

I can switch friendly fire on/off during gameplay so it wouldnt be a problem,i dont want turtles to be able to hit each other tho.
I dont like this casey from genesis version,dont like drawing style but i might take his mask when ill find good base character for him.I also want casey with moves from NES version.
