Holidays & Observances

I've tried to start a list of TMNT stories set during holidays, observances, anniversaries and other special events of the year (character's birthdays, private anniversaries like April at 1 year for Channel 6, weddings, funerals is not to be counted here). Would be interesting to complete it.

==Real==
*Christmas – Christmas Aliens (Mirage, 2003)
*Easter - Turtles & the Hare (1987)
*French National Day – Tower of Power (1987)
*Halloween – Super Irma (1987)
*Mardi Gras Carnival Season – Four Musketurtles (1987)
*US National Day – Something Fishy Goes Down (Archie)

==Fictional==
*National Sensei Appreciation day – (Ninja Sword of Nowhere, 1987)

Don't forget "All Hallow's Thieves" that was Tales of TMNT vol.1#3 and was adapted in TMNT(2003) ep.90.

We also have Christmas in both Michelangelo Mirage and IDW mini-series issues. Let's not forget the lump of coal that was "We Wish You a Turtles Christmas."

Don't forget the short "Don't Judge a Book" from the first RPG book, where the Turtles are about to go to a Halloween party.

Another fictional observance was that Channel 6 baby day in the Season 4 episode "Four Turtles and a Baby".

I've provided so many great episode recaps and much more to your pleasure, and it would be wonderful if you could simply lend a hand and give me credit.

Wasn't that just the news station's contest and not an actual holiday?

I'm not sure that a contest counts as a "other special events of the year", since its in the same mold as that Mardi Gras parade.

I'll also add the Running of the Bulls (big event in Portugal and some other European countries) in the European Vacation episode "Ring of Fire".

Holy cow, I completely forgot that Super Irma started out as a Halloween themed episode! When Jester and I did our "Halloween Special" recording of TMNT Fan Commentaries, we couldn't think of any Halloween episodes of the OT!

I guess we've still got something in reserve for next year.

I guess so. But what to pair it with?

Eh...

There's a whole bunch of 4Kids episodes with a creepy theme.

May I suggest "Attack of The 50 Foot Irma"? If you want something close to yet not a Halloween theme there is "The Darkness Within" of the 2003 cartoon. Just my two cents.
