Spare Parts

Sorry to ask guys, I have been looking for the last month for a site that used to have tons of spare TMNT weapons and vehicle parts. I can`t find it anywhere.

Anyone have a clue what site I am talking about?

Can I ask this question? And I'll just ask it in this thread.

In another thread, everyone pretty much agrees that Myteefinestuff.com is way overpriced. Is that the only site that has spare parts, and that's why it's always talked about here? Because it seems like people would much rather buy somewhere else.

And hey, congrats on completing your Technodrome.

I've heard it depends on the piece, but then again I've never bought from him. so I don't know from any personal experience.

As far as spare parts go, I think the big thing is it's just easier to find them there than to scorer ebay and hope you get lucky.

Yeah some bits are over priced. There is one part I need for my Tecnodrome they want $40 for.

The way I look at it is will it be cheaper to just buy the bits or sell my incomplete stuff and buy a complete one? The maths don`t work out on everything, but I have bought incomplete bits cheap and after buying the parts come out on top.

The only issue I have with that site is he's never willing to do do a deal... a couple of times Iv'e been tempted to buy a few of the more expensive items to have the tally rock up to $320 and then not being able to justify it. Then i figure if he will take $300 i'll just bite the bullet as a means of justifying such a big purchase to myself.

However he will always reject the offer and then have the same items sitting there 3 years later, hence in the meantime iv'e aquired most of the parts for less than half of what he's asking :s

Guess it works out better for myself... but you either want to sell stuff or you dont.

I just ordered a bunch of accessories from that website. What I was looking for seemed reasonable. A lot of the items I ordered are way overpriced or nonexistent on ebay, so for me this was a bargain.

I guess it's all about what you're looking for.

I picked up some accessories for the more common '89 and '90 figures and most of them were no more than 50 cents each, some as cheap as a dime. There were a few that got up to a dollar or two each, but for the most part it was quite reasonable. Even a lot of the loose figures are only 3 or 4 bucks each.

I think it's only the harder to find stuff that gets a little pricey. For what I need it for, it's great.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Myteefinestuff an online retailer? Practically the same thing as Wal-Mart or any other store? If he was on eBay, I maybe would understand trying to make a deal, but for an online retailer, I wouldn't expect it.

But that's just me. I just hope you get what I'm trying to say.

Sure he's an online retailer, but it's nothing like Walmart. It's probably just one guy selling stuff out of him own home, the same way someone would sell stuff on ebay. He just chooses to use a cart and checkout system rather than auctions or individual buy-it-nows. He does combine shipping though, so I'm fine with not getting a deal on bulk orders. That and the fact that the shipping to Canada is super reasonable.

Well, that makes sense. I guess anyone can just add a cart and checkout system to their website. I'm thinking of getting of couple Krang's from him. I have the Android Body's, I just need Krang.
