Lionsgate to announce their next TMNT 87 DVD later this month!

This just in from Toonzone:

Quote:
A representative for Lionsgate Home Entertainment has informed me the studio plans to announce the next Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles DVD later this month. No specific date or details were given, but keep your eyes peeled!
Season 10 is on the way! (Along with *hopefully* some missing episodes. *Crosses fingers*)

Woooo! An announcement of an announcement is still good news. Can't wait to see how they're gonna play this release.

As awesome as this is I wish they would just release an entire collectors set or something.....

I still can't help but think Lionsgate will shaft all us loyal consumers and make some episodes exclusive to a "Complete Series" set.

That's what they do best, it seems. I don't like the fact I may have to wait for a Complete Series set, before I can finally make high-quality Chrome Dome and Technodrome Mark II caps for icons. Darn it.

Anyway, curiously enough, TV Shows On DVD.net hasn't said about this, as of this writing, but the day is still young.

That was the first place I went to check. I also thought it was odd that they didn't have anything up as of 5:15pm EST. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

As someone who checks the site several times a day, it usually spreads out the info throughout the day. But it also has been bunching the news entries all up by day's end, especially lately. Some days are just slow, in terms of DVD news. If the TMNT DVD announcement isn't up today, then I'm sure it will be up for tomorrow's feed.

After 6:00 PM EST, you can call it a day with the site. As of now with 5:35 PM, no change.

If they re-release the whole series again later on then its fine for new kids or older fans. There's nothing wrong with letting people catch up on the series.

I hope Nickelodeon is paying attention in terms of showing a promo for the new series. Forget voice actor interviews, vintage commercials, or those missing episodes. I feel that a sneak preview of the Nick series really could be the top reason to buy this if we get anything more than those eight episodes. But after eight years, we're finally getting most of the OT on DVD!

I would like to see an individual season 10 and a complete set released. That way you can either complete your already existing set, or buy the complete set outright.

Well of course same here. I'd probably buy both because I'm insane like that. I'd actually probably store the complete series set and use it as a back up in case anything every happens to my original copies.

I'd only double dip if Lionsgate made it worth my while...and I highly doubt they will.

Sadly the two skipped eps being in a "Complete 10 season boxset" would make me rebuy the whole thing again.

Besides you can give the old DVDs to young siblings or family members...that's what I would do.

God posts here? O_o

Seriously, who didn't dread this news about news about a DVD release just because of the raving lunatic it would turn this turkey into?

To be fair I fully expect this to simply be a Season 10 boxset with all 8 episodes. Nothing more and nothing less.

I don't expect any extras or missing episodes.

Why the hell can't they release the skipped episodes as bonus episodes, dude?! Someone posted on my thread that they could do both.
