Wasn't there going to be a 4-Hour Hallmark miniseries that will air on a Hallmark Channel and ABC sometime after its completion? I once tumbled upona website thatw as saying they had done costumes and make up tests, but i didn't get to see any pictures. I guess the story is set to take place sometime after the original TMNT movie, with the intention that TMNT 2 and TMNT 3 never happened. Peter Barron in the director's chair, I don't know who he is, but did he have somethign to do with the creation of the Turtles? Also, I think the turtles shoudl be back on teh big scren, not this 4 hour mini-series. If anyone knows anyting else about this project, please post it.

I think that the project is currently on hold/in limbo. The news about this originally came as early as 2001.

Reported By Dark Horizons,
10/5/2001:
Dark Horizons recently ran comments from comic creator Brendan McCarthy (Judge Dredd) about various projects he's working on. The comments were gathered by David Kane for a UK fanzine interview.
McCarthy told Kane that he's been working on one of the many Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles projects that is currently in development. McCarthy apparently has done design work on the live-action mini-series that is planned for cable's Hallmark Channel.
McCarthy also reports that he developed the storyline for the mini with Steve Barron. Barron was the director of the first Turtles movie and is also directing the mini-series. According to Kane, McCarthy suggested that it was a fairly "adult" treatment of the characters.

I emailed Dan Berger about that over at mirage. He said the project had been waisted some time ago, and while they are always looking for another oppurtunity to do something like that, it will probably be a while before we hear or see anything new.

Do you think they'l doa remake or a sequal to the TMNT Movies? I mean the new series is quite popular adn even the third film made some money...

Anything's possible. Especially with the Superhero phenomenon going on in the box office. I would think that if they did resurrect TMNT to the silver screen it would be an all new thing, independant of the older films.

i wish they;d just do it, make it a couple years after movie 1, they're a little older, a little mature but still have their teenage attitudes...get all the originals back, the origina costume designs, etcetc and make it FOR the FANS...and not F*** it up
