TMNT RPG - Chapter 2

[Kali]

Okay, it's been a few nights since the battle with Leatherhead and the guys are healing nicely. Shredder and Chrome Dome have been quiet.

Leonardo's in the dojo, working on his training in the early hours.

[Peanut]

*Mike turns the corner from the den and walks into the dojo.*

Mike: Leo, dude you've been pushing yourself alot lately. Maybe you should take a break man.

[Kali]

Leo paused in his routine and looked at Mike. "I'm fine Mike. And we all agreed that we needed the extra training."

[Machias Banshee]

*Splinter suddenly appears, leaning in the doorway.*

Splinter: But you are pushing yourself a bit TOO hard, Leonardo.

*Mike looks at Leo. He knew he was tired. He could see it in his eyes.*

Mike: I know dude but if you keep up the late nights and early mornings your gonna be totally out of it. And what if Shredder attacks? You know he hasn't been around for awhile. He must be planning something.

*Mike puts his hand on Leo's shoulder*

Mike: So how bout you chill for awhile dude?

[Kali]

Leo sighed. Mike and Splinter were right. He WAS tired. And his ribs still hurt.

"You're right, Mike, sensei. I think I will take a break. Wanna go grab a pizza, Mike?"

[Peanut]

*Mike looked at Leo and smiled*

Mike: Dude...do you REALLY have to ask?

*Mike wrapped his arm around his brother and pulled him through the dojo exit*

[DarthRaphael]

Don runs into the dojo excitedly.

Don: I've done it! I finally finished the new communicators!! These have a much farther range than the old ones, plus GPS capabilities. It can even be used to locate the others.

[Machias Banshee]

(Splinter smiles and shakes his head)
'Yes, they certainly are getting better.'

Leo pulled out of Mike's grasp. "Great work Don. You can come celebrate with us, we're going for pizza."

Mike stops and looks at Don

"Dude...can't you see we're having a brother to brother moment?"

Mike kisses Leo on the head and takes off into the den laughing.

"I'll get our coats dude!"

[Machias Banshee]

Splinter: Enjoy yourselves, my sons, just be careful.

(Slinter turns and goes sit in the living room to read.)

[Peanut]

"Of course we will Master Splinter! I mean...it's PIZZA! Oh yeah by the way...where's Raph?"

[Kali]

(OOC: :lol: You know what? We, in the TMNT Nyar club, were thinking that Leo and Mike would make a cute couple.)

Leo rolled his eyes but couldn't help but smile at Mike's enthusiasm.

[Peanut]

Mike grabbed the coats and tosses them to Don and Leo.

"Think we should wait for Raph to show up dudes?"

[Kali]

(OOC: I'm gonna add Oni to this chapter. And BTW, don't worry about that couple comment, unless you give me encouragement.)

Somewhere else in the city:
Oni pulled her coat tighter around herself. It had been raining all night, and even though it had stopped it was still cold. She walked past the people in the streets, ignoring their looks.

She stopped outside a pizza parlor. 'Well, I am hungry.' And she went in.

[Kali]

Leo caught his coat. "Nah, early bird gets the worm, bro. We can tease him about missing out later."

[DarthRaphael]

Raph was a ways out of the lair, meditating. This has become a normal thing for him. He always seems to have an inner battle waging.

His meditation was not deep enough to prevent him from hearing the words "pizza!" being yelled from within the lair.

Raph: Wait for me guys, I'm hungry!!!!

Leo snapped his fingers in a gesture of defeat, but smiled at his brother. "Come on then, Raph."

[Peanut]

"Darn I was hoping I'd get your extra peices Raph!"

Mike smiled at Raph

"Well come on dudes! Let's not wait a second longer!"

He headed out towards the Turtle Van

[Kali]

(OOC: We thought you'd abandoned us, Mikey!)

Leo sat behind the wheel and waited for his brothers to get in. Then they headed towards the nearest pizza place.

[Peanut]

Mike ran into the pizza parlor and began ordering up his pizza right away. He glanced to his right and noticed someone sitting in the corner. He didn't know what it was but she seemed strange. He glanced over her as the pizza parlor waiter asked him what toppings he wanted.

"huh? Oh yeah peanut butter and ice cream...no no...uh..."

"Geez mac hurry it up!" said the pizza man

"uh I dunno"

He couldn't help wondering about the person in the corner.

"Uh peanut butter I guess"

"PEANUT BUTTER??"

The waiter looked at Mike weird

"Meh whatever you say mac!"

[Kali]

Oni watched the group of four that had just walked in. They seemed strange, and one of them kept looking at her.

She raised an eyeridge at the choice of toppings and went back to her plain cheese.

[Kali]

Leo also noticed the person in the corner booth. She was bundled up tight, not surprising for the cold weather, but she still seemed odd somehow. How she could eat that plain cheese pizza was beyond him.

[Peanut]

Mike sat at the table with his brothers. He kept glancing at the person in the corner. What was with her?

"Here's your peanut butter mac!"

"Uh thanks could I get a soft drink too?"

Mike wasn't paying attention to what was going on.

"Hey mac? I said what kind would you like?"

"Uh...softdrink." Mike mumbled

The waiter sighed.

"Good choice it goes perfect with your soft head!"

[DarthRaphael]

Raph is sitting eating his marshmallow and anchovie pizza.

Raph: Ooohh, do you see the way she is staring at me? She WANTS me!!

Don: Don't kid yourself Raphael, she is looking at all of us.


(OOC - my last post for tonight. Use Raph and Don as you will. FYI - Raph is VERY intrigued by this Oni character. I'm having browser probs too. Later)

[Machias Banshee]

(OOC: Laterz! :smile: )

[Kali]

Oni blinked as she studied the four guys. They seemed... nah, couldn't be? Could it? Could they be like her? Mutants?

[Peanut]

Mike looked at all of his brothers and noticed they were taking looks every now and then too. Then Mike though. What if this is some scheme set up by Shredder. He had been quiet he must have been doing something.

"Dudes you gettin' weird vibes out of that chick?"

"Oh yeah! Personally I think she wants me!" said Raph in an overconfident voice.

[Kali]

Leo leaned in over his pizza and lowered his voice. "Yeah, I'm getting a strange feeling too. Better watch yourself, Raph."

Raph grinned. "Oh, she's doing enough watching for both of us."

[Peanut]

Mike shoke his head. He knew Raph was gonna get in some kind of trouble. He took another bite of his pizza.

[Kali]

Raph suddenly stood up. "I'm gonnna go over there!"

Leo nearly choked on his pizza. He pounded on his chest, but that hurt his ribs. When he could breath again he told Raph to sit down before he gave them away.

[Peanut]

Mike looked up at Raph. He knew he wouldn't listen to Leo.

[Kali]

Oni pulled her coat collar up higher as one of the four approached her table. He leaned on the edge and smiled. "Hey, come here often?"

She barely resisted the urge to roll her eyes. But from this distance she could clearly see what he was.

[Peanut]

She knew something. Thought Don. He looked at Mike and Leo.

"Hey guys I think she saw something." said Don quietly.

Leo and Mike looked up. They could see her eyes staring at Raph's face.

[Kali]

Leo narrowed his eyes. "Man, Raph, how could you be that stupid?" he mumbled as he watched Raph continue to flirt with the girl.

[Peanut]

Mike whipped out his communicator that Don had built.

"Splinter? Uh I think we have a problem."

[Machias Banshee]

Splinter picked up his com from the table.

SP:Yes, Michaelangelo, i am here. What is wrong?

[Peanut]

"Uh I think Raph just blew out cover!"

[Kali]

Oni backed as far away from Raph as she could. Why, oh why did he have to have anchoivies on his pizza?

Luckily, just as Raph went to take a seat a giant drill like thing broke through the street in front of the pizza parlor. Two other mutants got out.

"Duh, this doesn't look like the Technodrome. I think we took a wrong turn."

[Machias Banshee]

Splinter frowned and shook his head.

SP:Get out of there right away. Be sure you are not followed. When you return, I will speak to Raphael.

[Peanut]

Mike looked up at Raph. Smooth move dofus! He though. He went to Raph and grabbed his arm.

"Let's go dude!"

[Kali]

Leo headed out the door and saw Bebop and Rocksteady and their module.
"Guys, we've got trouble."

[Peanut]

Mike turned around. Great! He ran out beside Leo then looked at him and nodded his head. He ripped off his coat and jumped into the air.

"COWABUNGA!"

He pulled his chucks out and landed infront of the two mutants. Don was next out and pulled his Bo from his back.

"Come on fellas!"

[Kali]

Raph ran out to join his brothers. Oni watched in amazement as they fought against to two mutants who had crashed up through the street.

They WERE Turtles! Like her! Maybe she should go help. She pulled out her hoko and followed them.

[Peanut]

Mike and Don jumped together and brought their weapons smack down on the sides of Rocksteady's head.

"Owwwwwwwwwww. You Toutles don't fight fair!"

He pulled out his gun and began blasting away. Mike laughed then looked at Don as they hid behind a parked car.

"These guys never get boring!"

[Kali]

Bebop fired at Leo and Raph, but both Turtles easily dodged. He stopped firing and scratched his head.

"Hey, I thought dere was only four of yous toitles."

[Peanut]

"Huh" exclaimed Don and Mike at the same time.

"Who the heck is THAT!?!" asked Mike.

[Kali]

Leo and Raph stared at the figure.

"Dude!" Raph exclaimed. "It's her!"

Oni spun her hoko, letting the light reflect off the progs. "Didn't anyone tell you boys that it's not nice to play with guns?"

[Peanut]

"Ummmmmmmmmm..."

Bebop and Rocksteady lifted their guns.

"Nope" said both at the same time. With that they began to fire.

[Kali]

Oni flipped out of the way. They both had amazingly BAD aim. She ran up the middle and batted their blasters away.

"Not so tough without your toys, are you?"

[Peanut]

Bebop and Rocksteady looked at each other then made a dash for the module. They both knocked their heads off the door and fell to the ground.

[Kali]

"Man, and I thought they couldn't get any dumber," Raph snickered. Then he looked over at Oni. "Nice moves."

"Thanks," Oni replied, retrieving her coat. She turned to leave.

[Peanut]

Mike jumped to his feet.

"Woah! Woah! Wait up dudette. Like who are you?"

[Kali]

Oni stopped. Perhaps she should talk with them. After all, that's why she left home, to find others like her.

"My name is Oni."

[Peanut]

Don was next to get up.

"You're...like...us? How...How is that possible?"

[Kali]

Oni shrugged. "I have no idea how I came to be like this. That's why I came here. To find answers."

Raph grinned. This was better than he thought. "We'll help you! Right guys?"

[Peanut]

They all looked at Raph. He really digged this chick.

"Well whatever we can do to help a fellow turtle." exclaimed Donny.

[Kali]

Leo nodded. "Come with us, Oni. We'll take you to our home where we'll be safer. Then we can work this out."

As they climbed into the Turtle Van Oni couldn't help but smirk. "Nice paint job."

Raph sat next to her in the back. A little too close for her comfort.

[Peanut]

Mike looked back and couldn't help but laugh at Raph. He sure was interested in her. But there was still something about her Mike couldn't put his finger on.

[Kali]

They went back to the lair and parked the van. Raph hopped out and helped Oni out, even though she didn't need it.

Leo went to go find Master Splinter to tell him what had happened.

[Machias Banshee]

Splinter listened intently as Leonardo explained the events of the evening.

SP:This is a most unusual turn of events. Where is she as of now?

[Kali]

"She's in the living room with the others. You know, it seems kinda... coincidental that she show up in the same pizza place as us." He laughed. "I mean, we thought WE were the only mutant Turtles. And she shows up right out of the blue!"

[Machias Banshee]

SP: I do not believe that this could be a mere coincidence. But all will be known in time. Come, I would like to meet her.

[Kali]

Leo took Splinter into the living room where Raph was busy trying to impress Oni by retelling their last battle with Leatherhead.

"And Mike's out, so I come jumping out of the shadows and hit him right between the eyes. POW!" He threw an exaggerated punch that nearly made him lose his balence.

Don looked over. "Hello sensei."

Oni looked over as well, and straightened up a little before bowing.

[Machias Banshee]

Splinter grinned slightly and shook his head at Raphael's attempt to 'be friendly'.

SP:It is good to see you all have returned.

Splinter glanced over at the young female turtle and returned the bow.

SP:Greetings, child, my name is Splinter. I welcome you into our humble home. I see you have already met my sons. Please, sit, and tell us about yourself. Would you like something to drink?

"No, thank you, I had a soda earlier." She sat down on the couch. "It's kind of a long story. I'm from a place near the north end of the state, where I stayed with my clan, my family. They found me when I was little and took me in. I learned the art of the ninja and trained for many years."

She paused and took a deep breath. "About a year ago we started to hear rumors about mutants, in this city. Mutants like me. At first I dismissed them, thinking that there couldn't be any others like me. But the more I heard the more I wanted to be sure. So I left and came here."

She looked around at the faces watching her. "Any other questions?"

[Machias Banshee]

SP:Actually, yes. What are your plans as of now? Do you have anywhere to go while you are here?

Oni blinked. "Um, I don't know. I didn't really expect to find anyone. I had no plans."

Raph grinned. "I know! You can stay here with us! It'll be great!"

Oni's expression was an unusual cross between surprise and something Leo couldn't identify. She probably wasn't use to this kind of attention.

Leo shot a look towards Raph. "Cool it, Raph. Why not let HER decide?"

[Machias Banshee]

Splinter shot them both a stern glare, and returned his gaze to Oni's 'shellshocked' expression.

SP:You are welcome to stay, if you wish. We have an extra room that we can prepare for you.

[Kali]

"That would be great," Oni replied. She was rather tired after her trip.

[Machias Banshee]

Splinter nodded with a smile and then turned to his sons.

SP: Michaelangelo, Donatello, go and prepare the extra room for our guest. Leonardo, get some clean bed linens and bring them to the room.

[Peanut]

"Right away Master Splinter!" Mike runs off along with Don.

[Kali]

Leo nods and heads off to get the sheets. Leaving Oni, Splinter, and Raph in the living room.

[Peanut]

Mike and Don quietly walk to the extra room.
"A chick dude!" Mike said with a grin.
"He shoots...HE SCORES!" Don and Mike high five while chuckling between themselves.

[DarthRaphael]

Raph: So Oni, is there anything I can get for you? A drink, a sweater? I'll be your humble servant.

[Peanut]

Mike and Don come back out from the extra room.

"Uh we're done dudette. You can go lay down or whatever now. If you want to anyways, or you could always stay out here with Raph!"

[Kali]

"Humble? Yeah, right." Eh, he was kinda cute. She shook her head. "No, I'm fine."

She looked over towards her new room. "I think I'll turn in for the night."

[Peanut]

"Alright! Good night dudette."

Mike raised his hand in hopes of getting a high five.

[Kali]

Oni paused for a second then gave Mike a half-hearted high five before heading for her room.

[Peanut]

Mike looks back at Oni then to Don.

"She definatley doesn't dig dude."

"MmmHmm!" said Don while noding his head.

[Machias Banshee]

Splinter nodded and gave a small bow.

SP:Sleep well, Oni.

Then, once Oni was out of view, Splinter turned and looked at his students.

SP:I believe now is a good opportunity to get some rest.

Then, before they could go, Splinter turned his gaze towards Raph.

SP:Raphael, may i have a word with you in the study.

[Peanut]

"oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Raph's in trouble!"

[Machias Banshee]

Splinter eyes Michaelangelo, and then looks at him smugly.

Sp:Sleep well, Michaelangelo, you are going to need all your energy for your early morning sparring sessions.

Mike's smile drops and he looks at the floor.

"Yes sensai."

Mike hurries away down the hall.

[Machias Banshee]

Splinter sighs, shaking his head.
"Kids"
Then, he turned to Raphael.

SP: We need to have a little talk, my son.

Splinter lead his son to the study and indicated that he sit down, while shutting the door.

[DarthRaphael]

Raph: Yes, Master Splinter?

[Machias Banshee]

Splinter came over and sat down across from his son and looked at him intently.

SP: It is important for a ninja to Never let their guard down, Raphael, not even for a pretty face. Do Not forget that, ever, my son.

Mikey, hidden behind a wall with his head peeking into the den begins to chuckle.

[Kali]

Oni lay in bed looking up at the ceiling. The three day trip from her home to the city had left her very tired, but she couldn't sleep for some reason. It wasn't the bed; it was comfy, nicer than some of the places she'd slept. Maybe it was being underground; she'd always been a bit claustrophobic. Maybe it was being around others like her. They acted very differently from the members of her clan. She wondered how long she would be able to stay.

She'd worry about things tomorrow, for tonight she'd rest.

Leo took off his belt and set that and his swords beside his bed. He still felt weird about having another Turtle staying in their lair. He was also worried about Raph though. His brother seemed completely infatuated with this girl they'd known for less than a day. He was afraid that his brother might get hurt if he wasn't careful.

[Peanut]

"Leo?"

Mike walked into Leo's room. It was so clean. He admired his brother. Everything was perfect, not a thing out of place. Mike looked towards him and knew something was wrong.

"You feel somethings wrong too huh?"

[Kali]

Leo nodded. "Maybe not wrong, but just... off." He sighed. "Maybe I'm just getting paranoid. We've had so many enemies... been hiding ourselves for so long... I'm finding it very hard to trust her."

[Peanut]

Mike got up from Leo's bed.

"Well right now we gotta dude. Master Splinter seems to think she's alright. I'm just worried about Raph. Oh well. I'm gonna crash now man. See ya in the morning dude."

Mike walks out of Leo's room and towards his own.

[Machias Banshee]

Once Splinter was done talking to Raphael, he was walking down the hall when he sawMike going to his room.

SPC: Get some rest, my son. Eavesdropping can end up making you very tired. Practice with Raphael in the morning will be quite tiring as well.

Splinter smirked and went into his own room.

"How does he know these things?"

Mike stared puzzled down the hall then turned back around and went to his room.

[Kali]

The next morning...

Oni stretched as she stepped out of her room, running into Leo. "Oops, sorry."

Leo blinked at her. "It's okay. We have practice before breakfast, want to join us?"

"Sure."

[Peanut]

Mike comes running down the hall.

"LOOK OUT!!!"

He runs into the bathroom and slams the door.

"WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

Don stands outside the door and laughs.

[Machias Banshee]

Splinter had just opened his door to see the green and orange blur fly past.

SP: I take it Michaelangelo is up. that boy's energy knows no limits sometimes.

He shook his head and then went to the living room where he saw Oni. He smiled and gave a small bow.

SP:Good Morning, child, i take it you slept well?

[Kali]

Oni bowed her head towards Splinter. "I slept very well, for the first time in weeks." Then she turned to Leo. "I don't suppose you have another bathroom."

Leo shook his head. Then he saw Raph dragging himself down the hall. "Good morning, Romeo."

Raph started to argue back but noticed Oni standing beside Leo and stood up straight. "Mornin' Oni."

"Good morning, Raphael."

Mike jumped onto the couch. He picked up the control and began searching for cartoons.

Splinter glares at Mike for his behavior, and decides to plan a little something for him during practice. :evilgrin:

SP: Let us have breakfast, and then we will go to the dojo for practice.

[Peanut]

Mike jumps from the couch and grabs a full box of cereal from the kitchen. He jumps back onto the couch and digs into the box.

"I love this cartoon"

As he talked corn flakes fell out of his mouth and onto the floor

"HAHAHAH!! That was good"

[Machias Banshee]

Splinter frowns and turns to Leonardo.

SP: Please show our guest to the kitchen for breakfast.

[Peanut]

"Hey she can share some of this cereal with me! Want some dudette?"

Mike lifts the box of corn flakes to Oni's face.

[Kali]

Leo bowed. "This way, Oni."

She followed after Leo, leaving Raph and Don to fight over the bathroom.

She turned down Mike's cereal.

Mike shurgs his shoulders.

"More for me."

[Kali]

(OOC: If no one objects, I'm gonna skip the sparring session.)

Raph flopped down on the couch, not even having the strength to use the remote. "Dude, Mike, turn the TV on."

"I'm going for a run," Leo announced. "Anyone want to join me?"

Oni turned. "No, I think I'm going to go meditate in my room."

Raph only grumbled a response to Leo about trying to kill them.

[Machias Banshee]

(OOC: It's okay w/me. I might have gotten nasty if we had done it :goofygri: )

*Splinter goes into his study when a vision suddenly flashes through his mind. He quickly sits and puts a hand to his forehead.*

SP: Something evil is coming. Something very evil.

[Peanut]

"Do it yourself dude! I'm going for a spin."

Mike gets up and walks off to the turtle van.

[Kali]

Raph grumbled and tried to reach to remote without moving too much. He settled for staring at the blank screen.

Oni closed her door and sighed.

You made it.

"Shut up."

It'll only be a little longer.

[Machias Banshee]

Splinter comes from his study and finds Raphael in the living room, unable to move.

Sp: Raphael, where is Michaelangelo and Leonardo?

[Kali]

Raph grunted. "Leo went for a run and Mike took the van out."

He managed to look over his shoulder. "Hey Oni."

Oni started. Damn freak.
"I was unable to meditate." she said.

[Machias Banshee]

Splinter turned to Oni.

SP: Did you possibly hear where Leonardo or Michaelangelo headed off to? The reason i am asking is that...I have felt a prescence. It does not feel honorable, and i am concerned that something is going to happen.

He then looked at both turtles.

[Kali]

Oni swallowed hard. "N-no."

Raph managed to stand. "They said they were going out, but not where they were going." He rubbed his shoulder. "Call 'em back if you're so worried."

[Peanut]

Mike drove down the road in the turtle van.

"Man I'm bored! HUH!?!"

Mike slammed his breaks and the Turtle Van went out of control and slid into a wall denting the complete left side of it.

"AW MAN! What just happened? I could steer...I'd better get back."

Mike drive off back to the sewers.

[Machias Banshee]

Splinter frowned at Raphael for his sarcasm, and then sighed.

SP:*Whisper* If you only knew what i do, you would not be so troublesome.

[Peanut]

"Dudes the weirdest thing just happened!"

Mike comes running into the den between Oni and Splinter.

"The Turtle Van went out of control. I almost got myself killed!"

[Kali]

"The Van?" Raph repeats. "You probably just skidded on a wet patch. It's been raining pretty hard recently."

[Machias Banshee]

SP: You are uninjured?

[Kali]

Please say you're injured.

'Hush.'

*chuckle* Did you know you sleepwalk?

Oni gasped, but recovered with, "I hope you weren't hurt Michaelangelo."

[Peanut]

"No dudes I'm fine and it wasn't a wet patch Raph...it was something else... I don't know what."

[Kali]

(OOC: Machias forgot to tell someone to take over as Splinter while she's on vacation, so I'm gonna take him for now. There goes the two character limit...)

Splinter frowned. He was very worried now. Could this be the work of the evil presence he felt? "I am very glad you are all right, my son. I have a bad feeling about this. Please, go call Leonardo back and I'd prefer if you all stayed in the lair."

[Peanut]

"Right sensai!"

Mike ran off to find Leo.

[Kali]

You can go ahead and take Don if you want, HT (and don't blame me! You asked!) We also kinda need a temporary replacement for Splinter until Machias comes back. Other than that, as I said, check out the character list/bio thread to see who we have, and bring in anyone. Be sure to post on that thread who you're playing, so we can keep track.

Leo sighed. 'Gah, I AM on edge.'

"It's nothing Don. I've just been freaked out lately. Something seems wrong, like there's some evil presence looming over us."
