I have the script for Teenage Mutant NinjaTurtles TheMovie

Ive been searching for itforever and I finally got it. The script was very much like the movie but they did have some dfferent/added scenes.

In the script The flashback to the turtles origin starts out in Splinter's POV as he sees the Tgri truck about to hit someone and watches as a kid saves the guy and the ooze flies out the truck bounces a few times then hits the turtles' jar. The running gag through out the script was that Donatello wasn't as wild and crazy as the other turtles. he was really really shy and whenever he tried to be like them and yell out "awesome" or "radical" it doesnt fit so well.There is a scene when they are training at the barn and Leonardo says they need to change their style of fightingby learning to fight without being able to see. Leo turns his bandanna around and fights them all and beats them. Mikeyyells out "radical" and don joins in with "eclectic" and mikey stares at him like he is an idiot. its then followed by scenes tof them learning to fight that way. first donatello masters it, then mikey. but raphael cant get it and gets frustrated. he even tries to cheat and look under his mask, which his brothers catch and get at him about. but after time he relaxes and takes his time and eventually we see raphael's hands twirling his sais with expert ease and we pan back to see him fighting the others, his mask turned around and he's winning.

if anyone has questions about scenes in the script feel free to ask. when i get the scripts for turtles 2 and 3 i will do the same

it kinda goes into detail with some scenes. the casey vs raph thing goes in longer. after raph jumps over the cab casey turns around and punches raph in the face. raph gets up and wraps his arm around him trying to choke him.he then goes into a little mr.rogers kind of deal when casey calls him freak: "the names raphael. can you say raphael?" he then continues to choke him until casey says his name. casey then breaks free and says"your crazy man...and dangerous" then bounces. this stops raphael dead in his tracks, hitting a nerve and making him think. raphael then gets angry again and throws a trash can at him.

when we first meet the shredder it is like in the movie only there is an extra scene of him holding a red bandanna and facing off against the teens that attack april in the beggining of the movie that the turtles beat up. they are suppose to get the bandanna from him and they want it bad. they attack and shredder basically toys with them, beating them up and slashing each and everyone of them. they never get close to the bandanna. Shredder then says that they will wear their wounds proudly as representations on how much they want to become full members of the foot clan.

they scene of raphael getting jumped on the roof has raph first losing, then coming back, he then gets to cocky and even more foot soldiers appear. they jump him pull his arms back and wale on his face until he gets knocked out. it describes the foot soldiers dragging his unconscious body down the steps,his head hitting each and every step on the way down.they beat him up some more until he gets thrown through the window into april's apartment. the fight in aprils apartment is slightly longer where the turtles are doing pretty good. leonardo is basically outside of aprils apartment fighting a bunch of foot soldiers.they then kick him down the steps and he rolls into aprils second time around shop. leo then gets up and continues to fight, stopping to look up when he notices that the cealing is starting to give. as mike and don fight up stairs the ceiling gives and they fall, continuing to fight down staires. casey shows and they decide to get out.leo acting as the leader and older brother jumps infront of mike who is fighting a bunch of guys so that mike can escape.the turtles leave and they go to the farm where they are all pretty beat up and wounded from the battle(their first loss). raphael is so beat up from the fight that his shell is soft.

back at foot headquarters shredder is pissed that the turtles kicked the crap out of most of his soldiers.he goes into the area where they are holding splinter who is looking extremely beat up and slaps him. he demands info on how the turtles know how to fight so well. we then see shredder pull his fist back and we cut to tatsu watching,with no reaction, as he hear the huge CRACK as shredder takes it to Splinter. shredder gets pissed at tatsu who takes it out on the foot soldiers, who are in the locker room looking all beat up and warn out by the fight. tatsu kicks the crap out one foot soldier and when that soldiers friend tries to stop him tatsu turns around and hits him so hard that he falls back hitting his head on the floor killing him. the soldiers all gather around him and try to help but its to late. they look at tatsu who realized that he just ****ed up and leaves.

when everyone gets better we see scenes of the turtles practicing, basically beating the crap out of each other,making sure they are 100% to go back and fight the foot clan. their fight with shredder has the turtles going to fight him one at a time, then one at a time again, they then work together as a team and fight shredder and start to over power him (much like with their first fight with him in the comics). shredder shapes up and beats them back but they leave him brusied and beat up. shredder rethinks his battle plan and sees an opening when raphael says "where's splinter".he does the entire "oh the rat thing..." in order to break their spirit.it works on leo just like in the movie.

also nagi was in the origin story.they have the entire shredder is nagi's 6 year old brother who wanted revenge against yoshi for killing his brother.

*also it doesnt quite fit anywhere but during the turtles origin scene plinter makes the comment that although he was growing like the turtles his growth never compltely matched theirs ( they grew taller then him... they were still babies while he was more mature in his thinking ect)

if they had shot the script exactly how it was written it would have gotten a pg-13 rating. it made you like the turtles becuase they are good people (turtles) but it also did not make you forget that they are ninjas and that they just so happen to be really really really good at fighting. the fights were definitly alot more violent in the script and we missed out on better characterizations of the turtles ( leo's leadership and love for his family, raphael desperatly trying to come to terms with his anger and learning to control it,mikey being the balance in the group by using humor to help everyone get through and donny being shy and reserved, until he is in a fight, and he then totally lets loose.

I think it should have gotten that PG-13! I know turtles is a kids thing but I mean the movie was dark as it is plus there were a few swear words in it you normally wouldnt hear in a kids movie. Nothing I think is bad but parents might "Damn" was Raph's most used he also said "Bitchin".

this alwasy cracked me up: raphael is so beat up from the fight that his shell is soft.

that's a dietary issue, soft shells is metabolic bone disease hahahaah but that's the turtle-mom in me hahaha Raph needs a calcium supplement with his earthworms!

iknow it does sound weird the entire his shell is soft thing. i do know that a soft shell is one of the bad signs of a dying turtle so i figure it wwas meant to show exactly how bad of a shape that raphael was in. but hey he's a mutant turtle one of only 4 in the world so maybey their mutation changed them that much that when they get rocked things like that happen

Dude...when did Raph say bitchin?! I NEVER CAUGHT THAT!! I did catch the '****' during the TGRI scene in 2 though bwahahhaa.

I also only just noticed Leo saying 'aww aren't you cute' or similar at the begining of 3, I never heard it before because I was always distracted by Mikey doing the lampshade hula :tlove: But I think Leo is talking about the swords in his book, not Mikey!!

i've had the shooting scripts for the first two TMNT films for quite some time. the script for the first film is VERY good, i really wish everything would have been filmed.

i'm suprised how hard the scripts are to find...

WoW :o !!!! I really want to get my hands on the first movie script now! If they had done all that the movie would have been soo much better than it already is, how on earth did you gat that script?! Is it posted online somewhere, or on Ebay?
I do have a question about the script though: Was there a scene that involved Donny making Raph new sais, anything showing Mikey's more emotional side, or the comic book joke at the end?
Plus, with the novelization adaption. Who was it that wrote that again, and are they an American? Because I'm having a really hard time finding it and I want to get my hands on the best version of the novelization possible. ( I know, I know...I'm a real pain in the arse huh? :D )

danny's scenes in the script are basically like the one in the movie. however after danny gets out of the carwith his dad, his father tries to catch up with him in his car but gets stopped by a police officer. also the original ending is in the script. danny is in that part also. also there is a scene of donatello making raphael's new sais in the barn at the farm. it was suppose to be part of a kind of montage scene, where we see the turtles dealing with their situation. in the montage we see don in the barn making new sais although he is kind of distracted. he then gets frustrated and tosses the sai, lodging it in the barn wall. if they had kept that scene that would have dropped the plot hole so many people brought up about how raphael got his sais back after they were thrown from the roof. the montage also had scenes of mikey, being unlike the mikey we all know and love. he gets depressed almost and basically doesnt joke around anymore.he spends his days training alone. very un-mike like.

i think the author for the novelization was b.b. hiller but i may be wrong. the script was something my friend, who has so many hookups that he has to be up to something illegal, was able to get for me. he is looking for tmnt 2 and 3 for me as well. someone posted and said they were surprised at how hard this script is for people to track down and i have to agree. however if anyone is intersted i can hit kinkos and makes copies of it. if anyone is intersted let me know

the script was something my friend, who has so many hookups that he has to be up to something illegal, was able to get for me. he is looking for tmnt 2 and 3 for me as well.
the scripts aren't that hard to find. now unproduced BATMAN, GHOSTBUSTERS, X-MEN, etc. scripts... THOSE are hard to get! for the most part, a shooting script to any movie is relatively easy to get. just gotta know where to look. TMNT scripts come up from time to time on ebay. however, i've NEVER seen a TMNT 2 script up for auction, except for the photocopy of my script i included in an auction for a screen used ooze cannister prop.

copies should be roughly $12-15, if you make them yourself. i doubt kinko's would make the copies for you, as they're very strict on copyright laws.

I read a kids book with the bandana flip scene in it.....it was a small like 20 page kids booked based on the cut scene.....it was pretty cool when i was 9. I wish they would release a TMNT special edition.....it's been what 20 yrs since the first comic......i want a tmnt special edition. maybe if the toon does well.....maybe we will get tmnt special edition...heck e-mail New line....i think i will.

It seems to me, that in the wake of this new rise in the popularity of the TMNT you at New Line Cinema should release a TMNT: Special Edition, with some special features, including deleted scenes, ect. I think it would sell well, considering that in TMNT chat forums on-line, people are talking about scenes that were cut from the shooting script, that may have been edited out. We all would love to see TMNT in it's un-edited glory, or at least with the scenes added to a special DVD.

I believe they were in a sticker album. Someone had mentioned having it. It's also in the archie comic version of the film done by the mirage team.

I think they must have shot the bit with Leo falling and fighting in April's store and that because before the floor collapses on Don and Mikey he is nowhere to be seen. It seems it was obviously edited out. The full version of the film with that shooting script would've been amazing. Nice find

No you were right. She was able to utilize the original script of the film, as were the gang at Mirage when they created the comic book adaption.

Most movies usually do get alot of their material from the full script cut from the finished product due to content/screen time/ect. but when people adapt them to novel form, they tend to utalise everything that was written into the screenplay to give fans a taste of what these movies would've been like.

I always thought it was because the movie adaptions and whatnot were always made at the same time/before the movies were completed, so they don't know exactly what would be cut out of the movie's final version.

As for the turtle falling through the window scene, it was Raph in the movie. Not Leo. Wouldn't make sense if the Foot smashed Raph and then Leo through the window in the movie.

Regular mail write-in campaign is the best course of action. That's what settled the problem with the TMNT old-toon DVD.

I couldn't resist it, I went to a script selling website and orderd the TMNT 1 screenplay. It cost $15 for the script plus $14 for shipping (I'm in the UK, international shipping prices are steep) but I think it'll be well worth it. Ooh exictment! :)
