y'know i never really liked the mirage shredder, he was a geek. A wuss who died in the first issue and wasn't seen again until the #21st or 22nd (one of the return to new york), anyways he was only "worms" in that issue so it didn't count. Cartoon shredder will always be the biz0mb

~If we're talking cartoons I think my fave was Krang. He got all the best lines.
Movie #1 Shredder was great. Very scary. (I know cuz my daughter who was maybe two or three the first time she saw it would run out of the room and hide when Shredder would come walking down that passageway with the long shadows...)
Mirage Shredder was great, too. (he actually came back in #11, Pwdesai, the Leonardo Special, and waxed my fave turtle!)
RatKing was pretty cool too-- very unique cuz I was never really sure how serious Brown and Lawson were -- there was this edge of humor about him in his debut story that left me wondering if he wasn't a total send-up. He was just as enigmatic in City at War, but more serious...

Cartoon Shredder is my first "Bad guy" love, but I do have a fondness for Mirage Rat King.

I think I've loved the cartoon Shredder fora long while, so he was my fave bad guy (i loved him in the catoons!), nd for a long time I couldn't remember Krang very well, but I'd say Shredder was my villin!

The absolute best villains in the cartoon were our favorite foursome living in the Technodrome - Shredder, Krang, Bebop, and Rocksteady.
Those guys had something special. It's called chemistry. It's not something you can teach. It's only something you can hope to find, and those four characters had it. Without that chemistry, I don't think the show would have been as successful.
Shredder and Krang were the perfect bickering married couple, always snapping at each other or halfway complenting each other. Every time Krang unloaded on Shredder ("You metal-masked moron!"), I just about rolled off my couch.
And sometimes Bebop and Rocksteady were so clumsy, I couldn't help but smile.
Yes, those four guys were the best villains in the show, hands down.

Though I think after seeing how dangerous The Real Baxter from Mirage can be in Mirage Vol 2.... his evil master mind has intrqued me (especially since it was never explained as to why he did that)

yes, but you have to take into consideration that the mirage tmnt are about 100 times more badass than all the other versions of the tmnt COMBINED. the cartoon turtles could NEVER kill the mirage shredder. heck, they cant even off their own shredder!

It's funny that this should come to be such a big deal. Half the time, the writers of the cartoon couldn't make up their minds what to call those guys.
I've heard Krang call them Stone Warriors ("Hot Rodding Teenagers from Dimension X").
I've heard Krang also call them Rock Soldiers ("Shredderville").
I've heard Raphael and Shredder call them Rock Warriors ("Shredder Triumphant!").
But, personally, I think we should all call those guys what Michaelangelo called them: Pebble Brains ("Shredderville").
"Thanks for saving me from that Rock Soldier!"
"Those Pebble Brains are no friends of ours, either!"

iv always said stone warriors because that was the original name for the creatures (and the names used in the video games).

That was one of the few things that bugged me about the cartoon. It could be very inconsistent at times.

Only prob: Why can't I ever see him in the cartoons?
Did the toy makers just make him up for they were bored?

Ace Duck appeared for a whole two seconds in the episode "Attack of Big MACC." He was part of television program the Turtles were watching.
Another forum member said that Ace Duck was also in another episode for a brief cameo. I don't know which episode it was, however.

I don't know whose idea it was to give Ace Duck two seconds worth of screen time. The writers could have, in the least, given him his own episode.
But no. Instead we got about 25 episodes of mad scientist after mad scientist.

His name, I know, was Muckman. His sidekick was Joe Eyeball. I never saw the episode (or episodes) he was in, but I know of the character because I got that action figure for Christmas from my baby-sitter one year.
Why she gave me that one I have no idea. I said a Ninja Turtles figure, not an ugly Mr. Trashcan Man figure.

Were Muckman and Joe Eyeball ever in the comic book? If not, then why did they get their own episode?
His space could have been given to another character, like Ace Duck or Usagi Yojimbo or Panda Khan. :)
