Just curious if anyone knows the age of Oruku Saki. Old Toon series or not... allthough old toon would be more of a help as that is what I base my fanfic writings on for the most part.
From what I would guess, he was anywhere between 18-25 when he screwed over Yoshi. 16 years later....
I'm just hoping he's not like... 40.

My guess would be maybe somewhere in his thirties
I would have to guess between 35 and 40.

:teek: Ok. Mondo-freako. I had a weird dream (Very, very, very weird, and let's just leave it at that... :tanime: ) over the weekend that had me wondering the same thing. I came to about the same conclusion as d_fife. I figured, to be in about 30, Saki would have had to have been in his teens when he murdered Yoshi, and judging by his appearance at the time (in the movie, at least, which is what I base my fan-verse on), he definately had to be at least a little older. But on the other hand, he wasn't exactly an old man at the time, either.
Saki is an immortal. There can be only one!

:P
Like I said, I go by the movie version, and I admit I prefer the human, mortal Saki over the whole Utrom thing. (which seriously freaked me out, by the way...)
Besides, James Saito isn't exactly a horrid-looking guy (or at least he wasn't when the movie was made - geez, nearly 15 years ago!).
I prefer human Saki, too. I'd say that Saki is 30 even. 33 at most.

I prefer human Saki, too. I'd say that Saki is 30 even. 33 at most.Yeah, but 30 would place him at 15 at the time of Yoshi's murder. Yoshi and Saki were roughly the same age, which would mean that Yoshi moves to America with his girlfriend and pet rat at age 15, no parents, in the mid-70s? Eh...
Hmm. Okay. In that case, 35. 38 at most. Younger than 40 but getting there.

Hehe, you guys...
35... haha, I have an inside joke about that but anyways... *cough*
I think 32 is where I always "sensed" he'd be.
Definatey not 20-something. 35 at the oldest.

He certainly looks younger than he probably is. He looks like he's in his early thirties, but I tend to think he's actually closer to 40. 35 seems like a fair average though.

I just watched the Highlander today!! LOL
Highlander is one of my favorite shows/movies. I have 'em all on DVD.
I'd like to see a story where Shredder is an immortal. He'd be hard to decapitate if he knew that was the only way he could die.

In TMNT # 1 (first comic) Shredder is 34. His older brother, Oroku Nagi is the one that is around Hamato Yoshi's age. Shredder came to America to run the New York Foot Clan at the age of 19 (the same year he killed Hamato Yoshi).
He's probably the same age in the first season of the old TMNT series (I've always liked to think that all the characters would grow a year older in each season. Hmm... That would make the TMNT 20 years old at 1992 :D )

Cool, Ryo :D
So this begs the question... how old is Yoshi? Is he really as old as he sounds?
Boy you can really tell I wasn't a TMNT comic reader.

It's strange, in the original cartoon, when he showed his own face, In like "Invasion of the Punk Frogs" he doesn't look Japanese that much.
He does look in his mid-thirties to late thirties, and the voice sounds mature, not like a youthful 20s kind of guy.

True but he kind of still looks asian. I mean even Yoshi didn't even look that asian either.

Yeah he doesn't look very japanese in that... well maybe in some frames, but I'd say he looks like more of a mixed breed, asian, yes-- maybe more Indian mixed with latin.
