Jester Jester Jester....
The mutation figures are almost complete new rescuplts. Take a new one and an old one and hold them side by side, they're much more different than you'd think. On top of that, they also gave you an ooze container!
As for Ninja Action figures, which you didn't mention, they actually WORK this time and just got new heads but came with background pieces. They didn't even give them new weapons!
As for the Turtle Tracker, the Next Mutation line was so short lived that it didnt make it to some areas. I've seen ONE TNM turtle tracker in my area and that was when the line was first released.
I can understand why you're annoyed by these reissues but you also need to think about all the younger children who never got a chance to get these toys. I remember the mutating turtles being my favorite set of turtles when they were first released.
I've only bought three vechicles for this line so far, the Battleshell, Razorjet and Shell Cycle (plus the Leo Battle Bike). I plan on eventually buying the Turtle Tracker since I was never able to get it.

I don't mind so much. I had fun with the Muations as a kid, and my nephew seams to like the new ones a lot as well. And who doesn't love ooze?
I'm glad they re made the Ninja Action ones because I missed out of Raph, Mike and Don in the 90's :( Plus they come with more ninja weapons and a mini play set. That adds a lot of play value for your buck IMO.
I don't care about the mini figures (heck I haven't even seen them!) nor the Pogocopter, I'm not out to get each vehicle, just the main ones (Battle Shell, Raph's Cycle, a couple Foot Razor Jets and maybe the sub) I just wish they had made the Turtle tracker from Next Mutation a Foot vehicle instead of another turtle one.

I actually like it. The ones that I'm really concerened about are the basic figures, but they are still painting their weapons and making them new. I think it's kinda neat to have a slight blast from the past in some of the weapons and vehicles. The top of the Sewer lid thrower is totally pizza thrower too. I like it.

Yo be nice...
I personally don't notice any differences but that's because I don't have any of the new Mutation figures, but I might get some today?? They're going for $6.99 at my TRU. I do remember however that the old figs were hard to mutate.

well....ok didn't know i'd illisite such a responce.....i think it works for playmates....they can make money on the old scuplts and for the new kids on the tmnt block.....i just mainly laugh when i see a simmilar sculpt with multipul figs....i do it for marvel legends too....i'm not angery or hate it...i think it's kinda a cheap way yo make a buck....

I don't think it's cheap at all the way Playmates are doing it. At least they aren't re-releasing the toys exactly the same way they did back in the day. They are making modifications to the toys design as well as colour and that is a good thing because how bad would it be if they decided to release all the vehicles identical to the old school counterparts?
The only thing I have an issue with is their apparent need to re-use the fighting gear mould over and over again for figures not long after the first versions of those figures were released. Seriously, how many of you need 3 FG leo's within the space of 1 or 2 years? THAT is somthing i would consider cheap. Playmates should wait at least 3 or 4 years before re-using a figure mould in the same line unless it is acceptable to do so or in order to create another character (Foot mystics). And even when they do re-use the mould for the same character they should at least make changes to it. How hard would it be to get new Head Sculpts for the FG turtles? They are on a ball joint and can be pulled off for crying out loud, all they need to do is sculpt different heads, have the same sized hole at the bottom of each of them and whack them on the FG body's.
So in short I do think Playmates are being cheap in some aspects of the new toyline, but not in the way they are incorporating old school moulds into the new line. In that sense I believe they are doing an exceptional job.

In the end, what's cool is that we have awesome toys. Oh, and Ninja Action leo helps complete Storage Shell Leo if you've lost that little claw
