Were Dregg and Carter and the Turtles transforming into giant mutants when they got angry(a rip-off of the Incredible Hulk) and Shredder disappearing, in the comic book or did the people who made the cartoon just make up those characters and storylines? I really doubt they were in the comic book. I'm no comic book expert but I know that the villan is an integral part of it and I find it hard to belive that the person who wrote the comic book would just make Shredder and Krang and Bebop and Rocksteady dissappear. Arent the main well known villans of a comic book series usually killed off in a big way instead of just dissappearing from the book? I only saw a few of the Dregg/TRansforming Turtles episodes 'cause the show was on at 9 or 10am and I rareley woke up that early (However I saw all the Monday - Friday episodes at least twice). I was disgusted when I saw those episodes especially with the opening sequence. Maybe if I saw the episodes leading up to Dregg and the transforming Turtles I would have grown to accept them but I don't think so. I Definitely wouldn't except the remix of the themesong. That was sacrelige.

As far as I know, all that stuff never happened in the comics.
Yup, just stuff created for the animated series only.

Btw, I agree with you. I felt the transformations to be kinda stupid.
I didn't care much for Lord Dregg either.

Oh, and as for "villains getting killed off in a big way" it did happen in the comics. Shredder had a sword duel with Leonardo, in which case during the battle, Leonardo cut off Shredder's head.

But to more directly answer the question, no those specific events did not occur in the comics. In fact, the only characters from the Mirage comics that were in the old cartoon (and somebody correct me if I miss someone) were the Turtles, Splinter, April, Casey, Shredder, Baxter Stockman, Leatherhead, and Miyamoto Usagi (from the comic Usagi Yojimbo, he cameos in both the comics and the cartoons). Most of which were significantly altered from their comic versions.

Ratking is also from the Mirage comics.

I hate the transforming, I think its gay, they should have kepted like the 1992 serius and stuff. I though they way Shredder was beat in the last episode before the Red Sky Serius was a great way to end the show.

"Shredder Triumphant" was also the first "real" season finale in YEARS, which made it even better

I heard that the TMNT's mutations in Season 9 was Eastman and Laird's idea. I SERIOUSLY doubt that's true

It probably is'nt, Eastmand and Laird had hardly anything to do with the original series
