RPG: The Week from Hell/Continuing Machias Punishment

((Ok guys. New thread time. When we last left our heroes everyone was ticked off and everyone was sleeping. Anyone else need any more of a summary than that??))

kya grinned with relief as she stepped out from behind the shower curtain.

Kya: no burns? I'm so glad I misunderstood.

her arms were clearly visable as was a bit of her torso where the pants sagged over her narrow hips. The scars lay like damagaed lace across her bony frame. pink and white, new and old. brown blotches from scalds and burns. symmetrical and lopsided, puffy or indented. completely without pattern.

Kya shrugged and hid her arms as best she could behind her back, grinning awkwardly and a little sadly.

Kya: don't mind them. They're all healed now, and none of 'em are infected. -- Lets hunt me down some new blankets... okay?

Kya gathered her dirty things, and holding them a bit away from body, ventured nervously into the hallway following on Kameko's heels.

Kya: so where should I put this mess? (kya had the soiled pjs, and blankets in one massive pile, the goop to the inside) No body said where the guys do laundry.

Kya: well. not the guys... with their bandanas they can do laundry in the sink, but Splinter must wash things, right?

Uh, I dunno, Kya. I've just been taking my stuff to the laundromat. I really don't know what this Splinter does. I always took my Splinter's stuff and washed them with mine... Well, we'll figure it out. Maybe we'll just put this stuff in a trashbag till morning, huh?

*Sees Mike and jumps up, wrapping her arms around him* Good night...This sucks.....

Mike: *kisses her* Yeah I know. Don't think about it and I'll see you in the morning. Maybe we can work something out with Splinter. *shrugs* No nightmares...ok?

[Machias Banshee]

*kisses his cheek* I dont think Splinter'll listen to ANY requests...*sigh* He's really pissed....*looks at Kali briefly before looking back* I'll try....

[Vespera Blaze]

Kya: Right then. Lets get this stuff into a bag. Its smells *she headed out into the hallway*

*smiles a bit* I better get off to bed before I get busted. I'll see you both in the morning. *she waved as she left, heading for her own room*

*She hadn't slept in here for how long? She closed the door behind her and thought about sneaking into Raph's room. But that would only get him in more trouble, and she didn't want that*

This is gonna be a long week.

Good night, Kali....*looks at Mike* Dont mention the nightmares to the others, kay? I just...dont want the others to worry...

*grins, shaking her head* Can't say that I disagree with that. Hey, while we're in the kitchen, don't let me forget to get a bowl, alright? I'm gonna need it later. *hint of mishief in her eyes*

Mike: Promise. I'll see you in the morning. *hugs her tightly* Night. *he heads for the door*

good night....*She sighed, turning to her bed. she flopped down, looking at her sketchbook*
So much for the happy family picture...
*She threw the sketchbook down onto the floor, and laid her head on her pillow.*

*Kya smiled at Kameko. They got the smelly bedding tucked away in a bag to be taken care of the next day, and fresh stuff for her to sleep on*

Mike: *goes to his room and falls down onto his bed. He buries his face in the pillow and yells a long list of obscenities that would put Raphael to shame*

Thanks kid, get some sleep. Don't forget, we have practice at six. And don't you worry, I'm not gonna forget my bowl! *grabs a plastic cereal bowl from the cabinet and quietly slips back to Leo's room*

*She closed her eyes, and felt herself float. She opened her astral eyes, and slowly got up. She walked through the room, finding herself in Mike's room. Slowly, she put her hand to his cheek, and whispered his name...*

*Splinter could hear the remainder of his children going to bed. He could only imagine the amount of cursing, tears and anger this night and the others following will bring. He sighs and lays down on his own bed to sleep. He had thought long and hard about this. There was no turning back now. If he allowed himself to be run all over where would that put his children? Michaelangelo's words burned through him; WHAT WOULD A TRUE CLAN MASTER DO? Splinter sighed. He was doing it.*


Mike: *felt a warm presence surround him. He grins and drops off into a deep sleep* Hmm..night Hon.

((awwww.....poor Splinter....))

*Machias laid down beside him, and kissed him goodnight as she dirfted off...*

*Leo rolled over when Kameko came in, then firmly turned again so his shell was facing her. He closed his eyes, and pretended she was a million miles away. At the bottom of a deep pit*

((((Heh, long post, but it sets a good stage for later events!!!))))



*She entered room, finding Leo already in bed. She frowned when he turned away, but it wasn't important anyway. She waited silently until his breathing became the steady rythym only possesed by those in dreamland, a dead give-away that he was asleep. Well, that and his snoring...*

~Perfect. Absolutely perfect~

*With practiced stealth she slipped out of the room and into the bathroom, turning on the water and waiting for it to reach just the right temperature. She then filled the bowl and carefully -- VERY carefully -- snuck back to the room.*

~Oh, yeah, payback for the little shower you gave me, and the heart attack before that, 'big bro'...~

*She carefully set the bowl down on Leonardo's bed, then reached for his hand*

~Careful, CAREFUL -- If you wake him up he'll skin you alive! ...Yes!~

*She stood up, stepped back, and waited.*

~Patience, girl, patience...~

*Several minutes later, satisfied that her plan had indeed been a success, Kameko retrieved the bowl and snuck back to the bathroom, emptying the bowl into the sink. A short, silent trip to the kitchen, and the last piece of evidence was gone. She made her way back into the bedroom, quickly changed into her night-clothes, and slipped into her bed. The other occupant of the room slept on, happily dreaming of beating his 'twin' sibling to a pulp*

*Leo woke in the middle of the night, to cold damp unpleasantness. Huh? Wha? Oh no...I didn't!!! How the hell did she?! I know she did this, I just don't know how...Thats it, she's gonna die...wait. If I murder her now, I'll never be able to leave the lair again....Revenge will wait. And when she least expects it, she is going to wish she'd never hit this dimension He cleaned everything up as quietly as he could, and lay back down to sleep. Beyond dead.*

*sits up, bleary eyed and with sleepy, slurred speech* Leo? Wha' th'hell's wrong wi'you? S'two in th' mornin'...

Mike: *yawns and looks at his clock* Oh man, only 5? *sighs* Might as well get up and see if anyone else is up yet.

[Machias Banshee]

*Machias slowly awoke, finding herself back in her own room. She sat up and stretched, looking around for her watch. she turned on her lamp, and squinted as she read it.*
5am...oh geez...well, i might as well get some breakfast...I'm gonna die of boredom in meditation...
*She pulled on her robe, and headed into the hall*

[Kameko]

*sniffs* Wha... *suddenly snickers* You didn't-- you didn't really-- YOU? No Way! *doubles over laughing* This is... too... Perfect!! Night, BIG bro, I'll be sure to let everyone know of your little accident in the morning!

*eventually goes back to sleep when Leo doesn't respond.*

**Three hours later...**

*Kicks at Leo's mattress* Come on, lazy bones. It's five o'clock, we oughtta be gettin' up now. So get UP! *suddenly remembers something from earlier that morning* Heh, unless you WANT me to tell everyone about your little... misfortune... *snickers*

Mike: *wanders into the kitchen and grabs some cereal. He sits down at the table with a blank expression*

[Vespera Blaze]

Leo: Laugh all you like Kameko, we both know that you engineered it. I hope getting your kicks was worth living with the smell all night.

[Machias Banshee]

*Machias entered the kitchen, looking like leftover death warmed over, and rested a hand on the back on Mike's neck*
Hey...you sleep okay?
*she smiled softly as she took a seat next to him*

[Kameko]

*deadpan* Me? You think I'm responsible? That hurts, Leo. Geez, here I am having to live in the same bloody room with you, spend ALL my time with you... And d'you really think I'd WANT to deal with that smell all night? Get real, dude. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go get dressed. See ya at breakfast.

Mike: *smiled* As well as I could I guess. How 'bout you? *he pushes the bowl over to her* Want some cereal?

*smiles, taking it* Thanks...I'm okay. *sigh* so, ready for our new prison terms?

Mike: *looks down at the table* I guess. Keep thinking I dreamed the whole thing. *shakes his head* Oh well, not much to do about it. *pauses* Splinter said he would listen to obejections and such after practice. Think I might go and talk to him. Really have no clue what I'd say though.

*Don stumbles out of his room and into the kitchen. The knot on the back of his head was turning interesting colours, and his eyes were nearly shut as he reached for the coffee pot*


*Leo got up and considered making his way directly to the dojo, then remembered that he had to follow Kameko.* muttermuttersnarlgroancomplain ((but no profanities))

*Dressed and refreshed, enters the kitchen*

*all grins* Morning, guys! Guess Leo ain't here yet, huh?

*Hpmhs* Probly say "tough Vittles, no changes..." *shrugs* I dont see him giving leniencies to ANYone...

*sees Don* Hey Don, join us....and pour me some...*tries to smile*

Mike: *looks up* Morning Kameko. Morning Donnie. How's the head?

[Kameko]

*bouncing around like she's had to much caffeine already* Looks pretty colorful, bro. Eesh, that had to hurt, man.

*Pulls out some chairs for the others, moving her seat closer to Mike's*
Take a seat, guys....enjoy the time you have.

*Raphael threw open his bedroom door and trudged out, He stopped at Kali's room and opened the door a little and saw her still sleeping. He continues on to the kitchen and grunts to everyone*

*imitates Tim Taylor* ...to you, too, Raph.

Raph: *sits down at the table and lets his head fall onto it. Mutters* s'crew off, Shrimp.

[Kameko]

Aww, having withdrawals, are we, Raph? *puts a hand on his shoulder* Look, If I can survive being glued to Leo, you can survive this. So suck it up.

[Vespera Blaze]

*Don poured coffee for all who wanted some, still silent*

*Leo waved the coffee away and sat in silence, waiting for the others to be ready to go to the dojo*

*takes a drink from her coffee, wrapping her arm around Mike's *

Let's chill, guys...let's not get ourselves in trouble before you guys have practice...*lowers her voice* Let's just hope Splinter's not in a pissy mood...

Raph: *gulps down the first cup and pours himself a second. Promptly ignores Machias* Shrimp, do not mess with me today. I am not in the mood. I may just tear your frickin head off.


Mike: *sighs* My aren't we just the happy Brady Bunch type family this morning? Donnie, you ok, Man? You're kinda quiet? Cat got your tongue?

[Kameko]

*imitates an angry cat* Down boy, take it easy. Geez. And Mike, don't EVER compare us to the Brady Bunch again, alright? I'm gonna have nightmares tonight from the mental image that concept dredged up.

Heh, trust me, we are FAR from being similar to the Brady Bunch...*grins* more like the Simpsons....

SP: *walks to the door of the kitchen and stands there unseen by anyone*

*Mike gives a nod, staying silent*

Uh, you...wanna seat, Splinter? *stands up, putting her dishes in the sink* You can have mine...I need to get dressed, anyways....um, yeah.

SP: No thank you, Machias. I have been up for quite some time and have already had breakfast. Where is Kali and Kya?

Raph: *mutters* Kali's not comin' to practice. Said she'd talk to you about it later.

SP: *frowns and then nods* And Kya is still ill. Fine. Donatello, do you feel up to practice or would you rather spend the session meditating with Machias?

[Machias Banshee]

*puts a hand on Mike's shoulder, giving it a squeeze.*

*She looks at everyone before leaving the room*

(((Ack! I already forgot I have Donny!)))

Don: Ummm... I can probably do some light stuff, but I don't think sparring's a good idea. Don't want things getting knocked around before they get a real chance to settle, you know?

SP: You should be fine then, we are not doing any sparring today anyway. This morning will be about conditioning and I am curious to see if any of you remember the more advances katas I have taught you. I will see you in the dojo in fifteen mintues. *he leaves*

Raph: Jus' great. Anyone expecting to be able to walk after this?


Leo: *sighs* No. Not really.

Don: I shoulda just gone with meditating...

Three practices a day... I'll never survive this...

Mike *groans* Great....Infanticide at its worst...



*Machias gathered her clothes and such and headed into the hallway. SHe froze as she saw Splinter, and quickly made her way to the bathroom, semi-slamming the door behind her*

Leo: *stands up* I'm just going to go now. No point in holding it off. Come on Kameko. You guys coming?

Raph: ~F&ck~ *slams his hands on the table and stands up* It's only pain right? I can deal with that.

*throws a boy-you're-a-grouch today look at Raphael* Yeah, might as well get started. I am gonna end up bein' SO sore later...

Don: Be there in a minute. I'm just gonna down another cup of coffee first.

Oh, yeah, Donny, that's SO healthy...

*Mike stood up, and headed to the dojo, saying nothing...*
~Gotta figure out what to say to Splinter...I'll wait til after Practice...~


*Machias quickly turned on the shower, and quickly threw off her robe, stepping into the warm water.*
~I hope Mike is able to talk to Splinter....unless it makes things worse...*sigh* I dont know....~
*she scrunched down in the shower, letting the shower wash away her misery*

((Don't expect a long drawn out torture session. Just..uh..fake it))

*Splinter was waiting by the doorway of the dojo as his students filed past. They all lined up against a far wall and waited for Splinter's orders. After the formalities their sensei became all business*

SP: Warm up. Michaelangelo. Wind sprints up and down the dojo. Raphael, Leonardo, Donatello...150 pushups. Kameko...100 situps. *he clapped his hands and with everyone suppressing a groan practice began*


*Two hours later...Splinter left the dojo for his study, leaving his students to recover*

[Kameko]

*sprawled out on the floor, groans loudly* I'm never gonna be able to use those muscles again... OoOohhh....

Don: *also laying on the floor* What are you whining about? I can't feel my arms!

At least you're still capable of holding yourself in a sitting position!

[Machias Banshee]

((hehehe, makes me glad i wasnt there...kinda..))

*Machias looked at the clock in Splinter's study*
Well, they should be done by now...
*stretches her arms over her head, yawning*
Hope everyone's still alive....


*Mike looked up from where he was crouched*
~Man, i wanted to talk to Splinter...maybe i can still get to him.~
*Mike tries to stand, but he double over, so, he crawled out the door on his good hand and knees, making his way to the showers...*

Leo: *downs his bottle of water* Never knew I was so out of shape.

Raph: *from his prone position on the floor* I'm just gonna sleep here for awhile.


SP: *enters his study and nods at Machias* How was your meditation, Child?

Think I'll keep you company... Jeeziz, when I was ten, I could do 75 sit-ups no problem! Why is 100 so hard now? ... and I need my water bottle....

*reaches for her bottle, which is literally only milimeters from her grasp. She tries several times to reach it before finally giving up.* Scr-- forget it.

*She quickly lowers her arms, nodding slightly*
It was good Sen--*mentally kicks herself* Splinter....

Raph: *mutters* It was the situps, the katas, the pushups, the situps again, the drills, the sprints..want me to go on?

Leo: *sighs and stands up* At least I can still walk. I think I can beat Mike to the shower. *steps over his crawling brother*



SP: Very good. I hope you are learning something about yourself otherwise this exercise is pointless. Have a good morning, Machias. I will see you later.

~Yeah, i suck at meditation...~

*Mike frowns ats Leo steps over him, snd he gets to his knees, forcing himself to one foot*
I'll catch up...jsut give me a sec...
*takes a breath, and pushes himself to his feet with a long low groan*
*pained voice* Told you i could....

No, Raph, please, just stop right there. I don't even wanna think about it.

...I wish I could just get up. But why bother? We have to be right back here in... what? Four hours? Five hours? Might as well stay here... If I leave, I'll never manage to crawl back in time for afternoon practice...

Don: *whining* No more, please, no more...

Shut up, Donny.

*appears again, looking exhausted* I take it that your day hasn't been any better than mine.

Raph: *gets to his feet* 'm gonna go check on Kali.


Leo: *chuckles at his brother* Too slow Mike. *he goes into the bathroom and locks the door behind him*

*sighs, catching her breath* No, I'm not. There's some kind of major disturbance in the barriers, so Chronos has had me dashing all over the realities. I haven't been able to stop and rest for three days.

Ouch. And I thought I was tired.

*Mike groaned, and headed to his room, collapsing on his bed.*

*Machias stood up on sleepi9ng legs and makde her way to the hall, hearing groans and moans from the dojo. She paused, watching thkem all in silent sympathy/amusement*

And if he keeps driving me like this, I am going to pass out. Slag, I don't even know what I'm looking for.

Enigma, I gave up trying to make sense of your life a Loooooong time ago. It always gives me a headache. I got enough aches right now to last me a lifetime.

SHe smiled headed to Mike's room, grinning at him laying half-dead on the bed, and knocked lightly on the door*

*sighs* I'm gonna go for a recharge while I can. Later.

*stumbles, trips over Donatello, falls down HARD on Donatello*

*Mike looked up at Machias tiredly*
Mike; Hey, the keeper let you out?

Kya (internal) Kamita said we had 6am practice... (she looked at the clock on the wall) TODOS LOS SANTOS... it's almost 9am!!!

(she pulled her hair up into a big knot on the top of her head and raced out the door to dojo convinced that Splinter would be livid. She in her panic, she forgot to change shirts.)

she bumped into Machias in the hallway. literally.

She tried to pull away and changed her mind and pushed closer... then she realized that her height and Machias' drffered enoough for a tight embrace to make her blush. though it felt nice to be held, kya finally opted to push away gently.

the confusion was evident on Kya's face... it sat side by side with shy gratitude and blatant embarrassment.

she heard someone enter the kitchen, and chirped over her shoulder, "you want some chocolate chip-strawberry-banana panckes? The first batch'll be ready in maybe ten minutes!"

kya sighed happily. She'd realized halfway through batter mixing that she'd left on Kamita's Tshirt. And Mike and Machias hadn't stared once. Or asked awkward questions. Or made her feel uncomfortable by POINTEDLY NOT asking questions or staring.

Kya(intermal) donnie was right, I don't have to hide down here...

Kya: (she dumped the chocolate chips into the battter) strawberries and bananas ready yet?

*They both chuckled, and pulled the syrup and yogurt from the fridge*

She knew where she needed to go. despite Machias' hug and Mike assurance that she wasn't in trouble, she needed to talk to splinter about her tardiness.

Kya(internal) like any other accident, it gets worse if you let it fester....

SP: *studies her curiously for a second. He keeps his eyes on her face but his mind was now realizing the extent of her tortures. It was no wonder the child was fearful. *Raphael walked into Kali's in time to see her finish dressing* Finally up I see.

*Kali spun around to inform him that it was polite to knock when she saw it was Raph* Yeah. I spent the last hour or so thinking about what I was going to say to Splinter. Including all rebuttals for questions and comments he'll have.

Raph: So you think you're all prepared? *Kali noticed he was leaning heavily on the door frame. Practice must have been harsh*

I think I am. Of course, Splinter doesn't seem like the one I thought I knew.

SP: *poured her tea in a small china cup and handed it to her* The next practice is after lunch. It is a short session and that is the one you will participate in. The other two, I want you there to observe. At least for awhile. *he sits with his own cup* I want to be honest with you, Kya. While you were sleeping last night, I called a meeting. Do not worry though...I wanted to speak to you privately anyway. Things are changing for awhile...perhaps for good.

she accepted the cup and studied it, waiting for the liquid inside cool and savoring the release of an accepted apology. The tea was lightly fragrant and her mind wandered a bit before she answered Splinter.

Kya: yes, sir. I won't be late. How should I prepare? -- a meeting? changes...? (she grinned and attempted a small joke) Since I wasn't here before, i don't suppose I'd notice the difference.... but yes, sir, you were saying...?

I do not believe in belts except to keep the uniform together and I do not have any more of those. So be sure the strings are tied tightly and you can wear a shirt under it if you like. *he sits down again* Kya, there is something else I must speak to you about. It is about what happened between you and Machias yesterday. *he keeps his voice soft and calm and his face expressionless. He did not want to frighten her, but this was a matter that needed to be addressed*

kya sat in confusion. Beto never hesitated. Once the sin was acknowlegded, she knew that punishment was dealt without need of further explaination. She was responsible for her actions and she had been braced to receive the consequences.

she felt her thoughts creep forward, emerging from the place she hid them to keep them safe during a punishment.

Kya(internal) ... he's not gonna hit me?... he's not angry with me?... he's JOKING with me?... (she flinched when his tone changed) no, he's angry. he's just waiting for a better reason to do it.... jesu cristo. what merits a beating in this house? ... Gray scratched the back of her head as she stared at the split in the tunnel, she was completely and utterly lost. She had absolutely no clue on which way to go muchless where she was trying to go in the first place.

Gray: *thinking* slipping into this cave to escape Skinhead was a stupid idea.

Finally, after much deliberation and deciding that no matter which way she went she'd be in loads of it, she chose left and headed, unknowningly, closer to the lair.

((Yeh in a lair but not the sewer lair...uh...its kind of a maze of caves near a lake that they live in..the turtles themselves and Splinter are clones that Machias and Kali created. They act just like the original characters and the whole clone thing is seldom brought up. Um..the characters are very mischievious..more interested in fighting each other than enemies..but we have had a skirmish or two. If you browse the last 7 pages or so of the MP thread it'll tell you what's going on in this one for the moment. Welcome aboard :)))

I had also packed it away almost five years ago when I thought they were beyond use for it. But Kya, I would never use it or anything else on you. Any sort of physical punishment would be worthless for you.

First, I wish to say that I understand why these new rules are in effect. And after thinking about it, they really only effect me indirectly. And I'm sure you noticed that I wasn't at practice this morning. I honestly did mean to come, though. *she took another deep breath* The main thing I want to say is that I've decided to end my training with you.

Kya; um Splinter gave it to me to use during practice this afternoon. (she smiled proudly) he said I can join you. .... though he did warn me this would need some taking in.... he mentinoned you could help me with that? please? I'm NO seamtress.

Well, honestly, I don't think I'm getting anything out of it. It's lost whatever it was that got me interested in learning it in the first place. And I don't think it's fair for you to waste time on a student no longer interested in the art.

kya unfolded the black fabric and held it out. she slid the shirt on over her Kameko's tshirt and tied the strings as tightly as the would go. the v neck gaped open regardless of her efforts and the sleeves covered her hands completey...

Kya: oh... a FEW alterations, that's all it needs... (she looked up at Machias, clearly frustrated with her body) I should have asked if this came in children's sizes.

SP: *nods* I see. Very well, Kali. I am not pleased with it, but I do understand it. Ninjutsu is not intended to be learned by everyone. Thank you, though, for taking the time to speak personally about it with me.

*purses her lips, trying not to let herself get upset*

*sighs* Okay...*looks to Kya* I'll hold onto this for you, and we can fix it after we talk to Splinter....

*She turned and followed Mie into the study...*

SP: *looks up...two at a time now? * Machias, Michaelangelo. Please come in and sit down.

*The two young reptiles gave a small bow and knelt on the floor. Machias set the gi beside her, before looking up to Splinter*

*Kali flashed a comforting smile towards Mike and Machias as they entered the room* Good luck.

Now, time to see about breakfast.

kya nodded and pulled the gi top over her head, careful not to let the TShirt ride up with it.

Kya: thank you Machias! (she darted over to Machias and gave her an awkward hug that was over before Machias could respond.)

Kya turned and padded back down the hallway, determined to do some laundry before last night's mess stained the linens or her favorite pjs.

Mike: We wanted to talk to you about the "staying in our own rooms" detail...

Yes, umm...*folds hands* we feel that that doesnt seem very fair to us, or Raphael and kali. We've all been having problems as of recent, my current health issues, and Kali's recent---changes.

Mike: It would be better for us to help each other if we werent....confined to separate bedrooms.

That's our main complaint....please remove the Separate Rooms Rule...

I did. *looks to Mike* You were supposed to stay in your own room for a week, but I showed my compassion and suspended the punishment. The next day, you stole and destroyed your brother's boat.

SP: *to Machias* It is related because it is an example of me showing leniency towards the two of you and how it is responded to. *turns back to Mike* It was Raphael's idea? I seem to be hearing that a great deal from you Michaelangelo. And in either case, that is irrelevant. I am sure you and your brother could have found something less destructive to do that would not have injured your hand.

*She stands up, taking the gi in both hands. She looks at Splinter once before turning*
