When I was a kid watching TMNT I never even knew that it was based on a comic book. Yeah well I guess tv is just more readily available then comics.

I never knew this either until like 5 months ago , really embarassing to admit in this forum , but I already got my 4 first comics and I am really excited about it cant wait to go back to the comic store for more :D

I knew about the comicbooks when i was 10.. i didnt buy them though. didnt start to really buy them until the image series.

I knew about the toys first, then the show, then the comics. I was at Hills buying toys (anyone remember Hills ? lol) and they had like five thousand copies of TMNT #16 by Mark Martin. That was the first mirage comic i got. Soon, I found the graphic novels at good old Waldenbooks, and spent all my allowance on them.
