Well Volume 4 Issue 6 is upon us.
Rundown of events:
1) Jay, Shadow's boyfriend, was attempting to snipe someone from Shadow's house. He was foiled by Metalhead.
2) Casey and Raph brawled with the Foot.
3) April has been implanted with "nanobots" by none other than Baxter Stockman (props to whoever it was on this board that guessed it).
4) New Gizmo mini-comic from Mike Dooney.
In my opinion another great issue. This storyline has the making of something huge. I'm still uncertain how all of these angles are going to be tied together. So far the only thing missing has been some good old fashion TMNT ass kicking. But I'm reasonably certain it will appear somewhere in the future.
Another thing that I'm psyched about is that Laird said that he is considering bringing back TALES OF THE TMNT!!!!!!!! In this series he wants to show select events that we've missed over the last 15 years. He even mentioned the Werewolf story specifically. Please let this be true! He also said that he thinks that if Spiderman and the TMNT fought to the death the Turtles would win. Now that I'd like to see. I've got nothing against Spiderman but I do like watching the Turtles kill :):):):):).
Your thoughts on this issue and Volume 4 as a whole?

:o OMG... *lol*
That was me! I guessed that one... I'm geek after alll! It does make sense... why else would he seek out April and then stab her for no apparent reason whatsoever?
Heh... like to say more, but I still hadn't gotten the comic yet. Hopefully by Friday! :D

Regarding #1, I don't know if Jay was actually trying to snipe anyone. Maybe he was just trying to check the place out because she obviously hasn't taken him home. Yes, using a rifle scope to do that is a little odd, but maybe thats the best thing he had for the job.
I'll bet he finally gets introduced to "Grandpa" Splinter.

oh man, that was so freaking cool when the Ultroms threw down that flash bomb.... but Mike is just like "dimwits! we ninja learned how to fight in the dark!" and they keep fighitng using ninjutsu esp or something like that.....that was cool, i wish laird would use more 'martial arts mystique' like that in the books.
:P
i think iv finally gotten down which turtle has which symbol too.....

*jumps in all excited* I gots it now! Yah, it was a cool read. I like how they are really starting to tye up loose ends and various details from past comics more now.
Anyhoo.. the tattoos were kinda clever too. By the time they were all in the waiting room, it was quite obvious who was who. *heheh*
- The one that looks kinda like a pokemon ball, is Mike.
- The one that looks like the pinchers on a big beetle, is Raph.
- The one that looks like a beetle's back, with a dot on top and a top on the bottom, is Leo.
- The one that looks like a hurricane symbol with two dots (or an abstract yin yang sign) is Donny.
Lastly... the only thing that bugs me... is that if Jay was JUST looking at the farmhouse with the scope on his rifle, why was his finger on the trigger? No wonder Metal head got soooo peeved.
Or who da heck is Cha Ocho?

I've got my copy!
I am a little out of the loop here since these are the only current TMNT comics I have bought.
I always check out the letters page for a rousing game of 'Ooo I know them'
I would love to write a letter and have it printed, but what would I say!?!

Pete said in the letters column that when he first designed the symbols that they might have had some kind of significance for each turtle... but that he couldnt remembet it off-hand.....
hmm....i wonder what the symbols could represent???

I think Jay was just curious as to why Shadow won't let him meet her grandfather (Splinter), so he just wanted to check the place out (without her permission), but he couldn't find any binoculars.

TMNT has been selling rather well, perhaps they sold out, or were late getting it. I've got a subscription for it at my favorite comic shop here.

her grandfather (Splinter)Wha?????
What, you haven't been keeping up? Shadow refers to Splinter as her grandfather. At least, that's what she tells Jay, and they do have that kind of relationship.
