Vote for the Ninja Turtles/Power Rangers Team up [Archive]

If you're in the US this could be your chance to see the infamous Ninja Turtles/Power Rangers crossover on TV if you haven't already.
Basically on the official Power Rangers site they have a section called Power Rangers "Power Picks" where you can from your favourite episodes. This week you can vote for the best team up and Ninja Turtles is one of the ones listed.
The episode that gets the most votes will be aired in the US on ABC Family on 29th August 2004.

I hate the power rangers, they were the reason the TMNT stopped showing back in the good ol days...but I guess I can't use that as an excuse, as all good things come to an end eventually. Despite this, I'm still bitter.

The only thing on there I consider a team up is the turtles one I mean the others are just the Power Ranges with other forms of themselves

Power Rangers And Aliens Rangers is first with 35%
Time Force Rangers And Wild Force Rangers is second with 32%
and the Turtles team up is third with 27% so start voting everyday, chaging you IPs to vote more times and getting more people to vote

I'm headed for the site right now, I've wanted to see these eps so bad! I hate whoever controls what goes on the dvds cause they only do certian eps. You'd think, consider in the show was( and still is?) so popular that they's put out season box sets and make a whole bunch of money off of that. I know I'd get the first two seasons as well as the season the Turtles crossed over with. But because they don't do that I have to wait till an oppertunity like this comes up. I hope this ep wins, damn site is taking forever to load! :evil:

YES!

"Rangers of Two Worlds", that crossover was great, also the "final apperance" of "Billy" the original Blue Ranger (it's not really the genuine actor in the entire episode)

And hey, it's in the lead, most episodes of Power Rangers Zeo are hardly ever in these kind of polls

I voted for the Next Mutation/In Space crossover...just because you guys are nice

Me either...they came out when 1993? I remember them when I was all into SWAT Kats and that was what 10 years ago or so?? LOL Man! TIme is flying by too fast for me!! I never was a big fan of PR! I remember I use to get into fights with my neighbors all the time because they were PR fans and I was a TMNT fan!

Keep the hatred out of here, the original cartoon had TEN YEARS, that's longer than most cartoons will ever have, how people can spit on P.R for finally sealing the coffin on a series that had become pathetic is beyond me

Some people are ignorant, some people are'nt, bottom line, I'm GLAD it pulled the plug on the original cartoon, there are VERY few fans of the Red Sky seasons.

(of course Power Rangers is also the reason Swat Kats was cancelled...so I DO symphasize with you there., I liked it)

The mainstream opinion of Power Rangers is always "Thiz is Gay, LOL, ROFTL", Get a grip for god's sake

Yeah I know PR kind of made SK go down the drain another reason I got kind of steamed at PR LOL Now if SK was still here today I wouldn't really care on PR lol If SK was here I probably wouldn't be too close on TMNT LOL

The old toon had outlived its greatness. It actually should have ended two season earlier. I'm fine with the first Red Sky season, but I got no love for Dregg.

Sometimes one must trim away the damaged limbs from a plant, in order to make room for new growth. The ending of the old cartoon, and the varying trends that have followed it, has allowed for the creation of the new cartoon. And thusfar, it has been worth it.

Back on the subject of PR... I watched it back during the Mighty Morphin' days. The seasons that followed never really piqued my interest.

I liked old toon I wish they didn't pull the plug..but I guess if they didn't and it kept going...I dunno if we would have got what we did for the Fox Box.

The folks in charge of localizing PR know Tommy Oliver is the most popular character the show is, has, or ever will see.

...and Jason David Frank knows he's not exactly getting much work outside of PR :ohwell:

He's recently starred in a new T.V movie called "The Fall Guy" (NOT based on the series) he's also a part time actor who runs a Karate school

I myself love Power Rangers. At least we had something when TMNT ended (which we all knew it had to end eventually). As for the voting, I'm stuck on which to vote for. I have the NM/space crossover already, even though I'd like to get a newer tape. But I've been wanting to see the Aquatar Rangers again so bad. That was my favorite PR storyline ever. I watched Power Rangers up to about Space or Time Force. I always liked the original. I got back into the Rangers when Ninja storm came out and now am loving Dino Thunder too. It hink the shows are good and they aren't as cheesy as everyone remembers. There is another thing. The Turtles also made a quick appearance at the end of the Space episode before the one they starred in. I doubt they will show that episode too. ABC family is pretty good with Marathons though, they've had a lot of Ranger Playback marathons. Also I did want to mention the every Saturday and Sunday morning they are showing Turbo episodes and call it the best of power rangers. Well if they keep it up, the space episdoes aren't too far behind.

I think it was Zeo/Alien Ranger "Rangers of Two Worlds" that was the last time I checked and from what I remember Ninja Turtles wasn't doing to good. Oh well I liked "Rangers of Two Worlds" better anyway Tommy, Jason, and Kat my three most favorite rangers ever were in that one so I'm happy. :)

I would imagine though that eventually they'll bring something more on to DVD. If not box sets, then at least more "best ofs" or something. I hope.

In the meantime, you'll be happy to learn that Ron Wasserman, better known to MMPR Fans as "The Mighty RAW! has confirmed that Disney have approved his theme song treatment for the next season "Power Rangers S.P.D2

Ron was responsible for the original theme song, numerous other themes, and the classic songs "We Need a Hero", "Fight", "Go Green Ranger, "Calling For A Hero" and "Hope for the World"

It's disappointing that there are still immature PR haters who have to cause trouble. I mean if you don't like the show just stay out of the thread. It is really that hard ? :roll:

And for the other people that don't understand why Power Rangers is still airing after 12 seasons, its because (love it or hate it) PR is still popular. The merchandise sells extremely well it's and the TV show reinvents itself every year.
Clearly kids still like it and there are also us older fans who've stuck with the show since 1993 when we were kids and are now in our teens and 20's.
Power Rangers now has quite a decent sized adult fandom. The reason they brought back Tommy this year was for us older fans.
PR like Ninja Turtles has fans of all ages and that's just one of the reasons it's still airing. :wink:
