The two cops in the new show are also supposed to be a spoof on Eastman and Laird. It's been an inside joke a few times and it hasn't seem to lose its spark yet. :D

I caught it the first time I heard it. They're always doing stuff like that. Personally, I think it's cute. Every comic creator needs to make a cameo in one of their comics, and if it gets made into a cartoon or movie, even better.

Heck, the co-creators/owners of "Elfquest", Wendy and Richard Pini, have made several appearances in THEIR comic, so why couldn't Kev and Pete in theirs? Like we all know, the NYCPD versions of them crop up all the time in the new series. I think it's neat!

The actor who played Chief Sterns, Raymond Serra, is originally from New York, NY, so his accent was a little thick on the word Lairdman. That's why it sounded different. Oh, by the way, Raymond died June 30, 2003. Just read it on the Internet Movie Database. *sniff* I didn't know that! :cry:

he shall be remembered as a part of turtle history. I always thought he played a GREAT police chief, even though his character was a real jerk toward April lol... but great actor, perfect for the part, and he even did an awesome job when he reprised the same role in TMNT 2: secret of the ooze. we'll miss ya Chief Sterns!!

Oh, oh, wait a minute! I just replayed the scene over in my head! It wasn't Sterns who said the Lairdman line, it was one of Shredder's scuzzy kids who said it TO Sterns! K, that's right. But, still, Serra is from New York and had an accent.

The reason I found out about Serra is because the editors of those actors are obtaining more information. For example, I read Michelan Sisti's birthday is May 27, 1949, Leif Tilden is March 20, 1964 and Josh Pais is August 10, 1964. David Forman wasn't mentioned.

THOSE ARE THE CREATORS. They should have referenced them in the new toon as well.

I agree that cheif stearns was a jerk. HE told april in movie 1 you expect me to waiste precious man power because a few imegrants are reminded of something that happend years ago in japan and April says do you have something else and he yells at the top of her lungs are you trying to tell me how to do my job. WEll April did know something and he should have done something. HE, as I have said before, IS JUST LIKE CHEIF WIGGUM FROM SIMPSONS and it is sad to not have him in movie 3 (WHich did not take place in new york for most of the movie), and apparently he was not listening to april in when the damage was done by tokka and razar, like saying no off the record thing and what does he want her to do about it and he should know it is obivous that no human did that. HE JUST THINKS APRIL IS A NUCENCE and arrests DAnny and apparently made a deal with charles, he let danny go in exchange for him getting April off his back, its obvious since he calls Charles and asks if he has a son, charles asks april to get off the story in a grounchy mood and when APril says on the tv she doubts cheif stearns is taking this connection (with the foot clan) seriously and he yells at Stearns 2 seconds later on the phone pennington I thought we had a deal, and he yelled that loud.

Did anyone else notice that two of Shredder's street punks are now semi-famous actors?

The main one who does most of the talking and says stuff like:

"We have a loyalty to the shredder."

and

"We're a family."

That dude is from the popular HBO series Six Feet Under, and he plays one of the funeral home guys... I forget his name on the show, and the actor's real name.

The other one who is sort of famous (or was more famous a few years back) is Skeet Ulrich. You can notice him in the scenes involving the fight between Master Tetsu and Casey Jones in the first TMNT movie... and you can see him after the fight standing to the left of the guy from Six Feet Under. Skeet Ulrich played one of the two killers in the first Scream movie. He also played in As Good As It Gets, The Newton Boys, The Craft, and other movies.

I believe you're reffering to Sam Rockwell. I've checked and found no information about him having any sort of role on Six Feet Under, so you may be mistaken about that. However, he is a relatively well-known actor, having notable/main roles in such movies as "The Green Mile", "Galaxy Quest", "Charlie's Angels", "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind", and "Matchstick Men". He also has a role as Zaphod Beeblebrox, the popular two-headed, three-armed character in the in-production The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie (scheduled for release next year)
