Splinter in the old show

I watched the first ep of the old toon the other day, Leonardo tells April that his brothers as well as himself plan on finding a way to turn Splinter back into a human. Did this ever happen, was it the series ending?

No. Splinter never reverted back into Hamato Yoshi. At least, I don't think he did. Not at the series end, he didn't.

One could say he did go back to being a human temporarily at one point. When his mind got switched with Shredder's, that is. :lol:

Hrmm. I'm pretty sure there was an episode where he was turned back to Yoshi but for some reason at the end of the episode he did something to save the turtles and ended up back as a rat, also destroying whatever had changed him (I'm assuming it was something Shredder had that he would've used on the turtles and obviously Splinter didn't want that).

Maybe I just made it up >__________>; it's been forever since I've seen the old show, outside the dvd, but I do remember this... does anyone else remember?

Shredder built a gun that could change Splinter back into Yoshi, but it would also turn the turtles back into their original form. Splinter saw that Shredder was going to do this, and destroyed the gun, along with his chances of changing back to normal. He didn't change back in that one.

He didn't change back in that one. yeah i remember that cause if you guys recall the epasode called blast from the past when they where trying to help splinter get outa of his amnesia they where telling him the stories of the past and one of the sotries they told was when shredder had this device and it could turn the turtles back into pet turtles and splinter through his walking stick into it blowing it up.

I believe he would. They were like his sons. I doubt he would leave them behind just because he became human.

I'm sure he would stay with the turtles. As a human he might open his own dojo.

:lol: They were never his pets he just found them when he was living in the sewers. He saved them but in the process touched the ooze that was on them. So he became a rat. Still that would be a cool fanfic. Say he became human again and he stayed with the turtles but dedicated less and less time to them because he would do human things. The turtles would feel alienated.
