I doubt there will be any screenshots for a while... As far as I know, the games are just starting devlopment. The announcement that Konami picked up the TMNT was made only about a month ago.

yeah..but it is still more than likely that the game might be a port of one of the old titles (at least for the GBA), the other console titles I agree..won't be shown for a while now
Karpo_007
10-28-2002, 01:32 PM
It's based on the new show, so it will NOT be a port.

I can't wait for new video games! I loved the ones on the origina NES, especially Turtles 3. But they're probably haven't even began development yet, it's still much too early for that. I just hope the plot doesn't revolve around Shredder kidnapping April or Splinter, god knows there's already enough games with that plot. :dead: I think it would be cool if they came up with an original plot, or maybe adapted one of the stoires from the comics.

Probably will.

I think the GBA game will be great, I'm expecting it to play exactly like the old games.
Gotta love side scrolling TMNT :D

They are making new games???
For which systems? What are their names?

10-29-2002, 07:41 PM
We don't know much about the videogames yet. Supposedly, there's going to be one for the GBA, and the next wave of games will be for the new systems. So I'm assuming that they're going to be multi-platform.

I wouldn't expect any pictures at least until 1st/2nd quarter of 2003. It usually takes about 18 months to develop a game.

Hmmm... I doubt the video games will be released by Xmas 2003. I don't care what you say, just about all good games take more than a year to finish. I just don't think Konami is being given enough time. I don't konw if they've started work on it yet, but they probably have. Although they most likely don't have too much done.

all I know is that there are SUPPOSED to be some screenshots/clips of the new game/s avalaible at the next e3.

Doom 3... I think il need to buy Geforce 4 TI4600 To replace my Geforce 3 TI200...Nah...from what I've heard from Carmack himself, it'll run on a GF2...still, it wouldn't hurt to have the best card on the market when the time comes ;)
Personally, I'm wanting a Radeon 9700 (that's what was used for the demo that was seen in the illegal E3 footage). As of right now, I don't even have a GF1! All I've got is crappy onboard Direct3D.
Karpo_007
10-31-2002, 04:34 PM
Carmac has stated many times that Geforce 3 is absolute minimum. It would take 4600 ti run with a good fps. At E3 he recommended the next generation Ati card. Well Nvidia is going to release a new card too at christmas time i think.

Go battle it out with the guys here (http://www.doomworld.com/forums) (I'm a former member of those forums). I remember seeing articles and news items where he said so himself...
But I never said you'd get good performance with a GF2...so yeah, if you want a kickass framerate, you'll want the best of the best...oh well, I still want nothing less than a GF3...
Karpo_007

No need to battle, but if you want it to run smooth, you will need a good videocard.

i fail all the time!! i remember playing it on my nes. i wasn't much of a gamer back then. i've gone far in tmnt 2 and tmnt 3 which are pretty easy (with 2 players). i have a strategy guide for tmnt 1 so now it's much simplier (i was usually stuck at the the warehouse).

just to get this off of my chest... i'm having a feeling this is another one of those "Help April from Shredder" ninja turtle games.
If anyone has played "Ninja: Shadow of Darkness (for Playstation)" that is the style that I'd love to see the new ninja turtle game in. I've been looking forward to that, only hoping. anyway... just gettin' something off of my chest.

im working on beating it, but you can only beat it with emulation. otherwise, your NES would burn up. anyway... i'm on level 4 out of 6, so things are moving along pretty smoothly. i'll let you know what happens at the end.

See, this is what I want to avoid. Resuce April and/or Splinter, and stop Shredder from taking over the city/world/universe. Let's get some varitey, people. I'd also like it if there was a level that let drive the Turtles truck, and blow stuff up with those missles! Yeah, now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout! One thing that was really annoying about TMNT 1 was Donatello was practically invincible while all the other turtles had average power... Leonardo was 2nd best cause of his range but what good were raphael and Mikey? In my opinion here's how it should've gone: Donatello most range medium attack. Leonardo: High Attack medium range Raphael: High attack low range: Michelangelo Medium Attack Medium Range. This would make it so each turtle had some kind of difference. But donatello just having ultimate range and ultimate power makes no sense... since when is a bo more powerful than a katana or Sai? A bo is made of wood, a katana is made of metal and has sharp blades, so what sense does this make my friends? :)

Speaking of TMNT video games, I was just at a Sports Plus (giant indoor sports complex and arcade) and they had TMNT II: Turtles in Time. I jammed on it briefly; and I'm proud to say that I gave Baxter Stockman a good ass whoopin'! I would've played longer but I think my girlfriend was getting a little impatient (although she did amuse herself with "Whack A Gator").

Well, I'm finally going to do it. I'm going to bite the bullet and buy a Playstation2 next month. Would you believe that I have never personally owned a game system? Sure, I had an Atari when I was a kid...but that was really more of my dad's than mine.
I can't wait for the TMNT game to come out, and the new Evil Dead game!

I thought using an engine similar to that of the Spider-Man game that was on Nintendo 64. Man it would have been neat if Activision got the rights to TMNT. Just imagine... Michaelangelo in Tony Hawk 4!
As for the next TMNT game I also hope for an awsome platformer on the GBA, and a good 3D 3rd person action game for the consoles (please let it be on Gamecube)
Back to the classics... I think Konami should do us turtle fans a huge favor and port over at least Turtles in Time or the Arcade game to GBA. Personally I would have loved it if they ported TMNT 1 on GBC back when that was still new. It would have been perfect, and they would no doubt add some kind of saving option so you don't have the pain of going through all the levels over and over again (I own that NES game BTW along with turtles 2, 3, and Tournament Fighters for the NES and Turtles in Time for the SNES).
Imagine... TMNT Advance:
Features four complete TMNT games all with arcade style graphics
- TMNT: The Arcade Game (featuring the levels from the NES game)
- TMNT: The Manhatten Project (with the arcade graphics)
- TMNT: The Hyper Stone Heist
- TMNT: Turtles in Time
Four player link up with a multi-cart mode being able to play all the games completely through or a single-cart mode where you can only play through TMNT: The Arcade Game and it has a bit of loading time between each level.
If that wouldn't sell I don't know what would. With the GBA capable of pulling off games with 64mb carts then I think asking for 4 turtles games isn't too much for the machine to handle. In fact it's probably only scratching the surface seeing as TMNT games are well... short. Especially Turtles in Time (I can beat it in less than a half hour on the hardest difficulty without assistance, but then again that's the easiest TMNT game ever). :D
As for new innovations with the TMNT... Konami owns the rights so... what if they put them in the next DDR? Scary thought isn't it? Let it haunt you the rest of you life. :P

Thought 1 of you asked for that.
As for Turtles 1: I have beaten the mecha mouser but thats as far as I can get & I would have to agree w/ Reznorite on the raphael & Donatello thing, why did they all have the same firepower but different range? As for the bo thing, Don's bo had metal in it, making it more durable.

Well that's one individual opinion  and so is mine, so start chilling there eye :ohwell: the playability of the tournament fighters just wasn't good enough FOR ME (make an effort, see where it says for me don't forget it =P ) of course the games were good, and i specially liked (note i said i =P ) the snes tmntTF but i still think (note the 'i' again =P ) they weren't as good as some other fighting games i played at the time.

But I do hope TMNT comes to all consoles, let's just hope that Bill Gates doesnt open his wallet infront of the Konami crew (X-box exclusive TMNT Games :tevil: :tevil: :tevil)
