Have any questions about the new forum software? Want to give feedback about it? Find any bugs that have not been reported yet? Post them all here in this thread. Before posting a bug report, please check the "Known Issues" section below first. Thanks! :)
Known Issues: The following are known problems with the transition. If there is a solution, it will be listed afterward.
Avatars have not been ported over. You will need to re-upload your avatars due to the new avatar system. Sorry, but since vBulletin only allows avatars to be uploaded to the server, I had to put a 115x115 pixel size restriction on all uploaded avatars to reduce bandwidth usage. If you need help resizing your avatar, feel free to ask me.
"Where are all the old threads? Were they deleted?" No, the old threads have not been deleted. I used a new setting to only display threads from the last 100 days by default in most forums here to prevent people from bumping up really old threads. To view the old ones, you can change the Display Options at the bottom of the forum listing, or use the search feature if there's a particular thread you're looking for.
All links to forums, threads, posts, and profiles are broken. When the posts and members were ported over, they were all renumbered, so please look through the forums to find the new link. Also, vBulletin names some of its scripts differently (for example, forumdisplay.php instead of viewforum.php), so many of the links wouldn't work anyway.
Some of the smilie codes have changed. Since vBulletin has a limit on the number of characters that can be used for the smilie codes, some of them were truncated. Please look over the smilie list for the new codes.
Moderator star colors are gone for now. Sorry, but the usergroup settings on vBulletin make it more difficult to give all the mods custom star colors, so you'll have to settle for gold for now until I can find a way around that (unless you can all agree on a color other than gold). The good news is that mods can now change their custom titles at any time on their profiles.

Something I noticed, I had copies of EVERY Private Message I've ever sent or recieved in my PM Box. (Twice over too)

No kidding.. I had almost 900 PMs... :o Will that happen for Everyone? once people clear those out, the bandwidth and space should increase, right?

Yeah, I didn't realize that until it was too late. Sorry, I guess everyone has to delete the duplicates. In the meantime, I'll look for a way to port the old PMs over again without duplicates...

Ok, I reported the problem to the vBulletin devs, so it may be fixed soon. In the meantime, don't send anything too important through PMs here, since all PMs will be wiped out and replaced with the old ones if I import them again.
That's cool. and by the way, I LOVE The new avatar, Krang.
Thanks! :D

So do you know when you plan to open the forums to the public?

Hey Krang, the "Close Current Tag" and "Close All Tags" buttons don't seem to be working. I've tried creating posts with different fonts, text sizes, etc. and the buttons don't close the tags for them. Unless those buttons are for something else that I'm missing... :dead:
EDIT: Nevermind. I figured it out. Those buttons only work when posting in enhanced mode and not guided mode.

As soon as I fix this PM problem, it looks like the forums are ready for the public. I just don't want to have to explain to over 1,000 people why their PM boxes are so full... :dead:

Ok, seems fine now. I have one of every PM, not 2.
Looks good to me. Only one copy of each PM in my inbox. These go back pretty far. :o

Krang, I checked the FAQ first, but couldn't find the answer. I just recently edited a post with different text and at the bottom, it does that Last Edited thingy at the bottom. Most forums don't do that and some have an option of allowing that to appear or not. I don't like it to appear because I don't like everyone knowing I edited my post. Kinda embarrassing and all... Soooo, is there an off switch somewhere in my User CP to prevent that message from appearing?

Sorry, but there's no way to turn that off (it was actually used on the old forums, also). However, if you edit your post within the first five minutes of posting it, the message won't appear.

Another thing I was curious about (and didn't find in the FAQ) is that little green dot under the word, "Posts." If I hover my mouse cursor on it, it'll say, "Brinatello is on a distinguished road." What does that mean?

it is some sort of rating-thing, I think. You can rate people by clicking that thing.

Hi Brina! :anime:
That little green dot is your forum reputation. I believe the greener it gets, the higher your reputation is. Your reputation increases (or decreases) according to how other members rate your posts. There's a little button underneath the green dot that shows a check mark and an "x". Clicking this button will allow you to add or decrease someone's reputation based on the post. Oh, and if someone leaves a comment, it can be viewed in the user control panel. Reputation doesn't really affect anything; it's just a little fun feature that's not meant to be taken too seriously.

Alright, here we go Savannah, crash course.
First, we don't double post. If you need to say something extra, just use the edit button. :D
2) The pics we have are our avatars and sigs. Go up to the User CP option on the screen and check out some of the ways to customize your account.
Any other questions?

Apolo97's last post was in the username changes thread. The forums will not allow her to post anywhere else or private message anyone anymore. o.o'

She needs to be re-validated, according to what I see. I'm sure that Krang will take care of it soon.

Yep, every time users change their email addresses, they need to re-validate their accounts using the links that are sent to them. However, it looks like she already took care of that and should be able to post again.

Yep, everything will be exactly the same as it is here, although there might be a little downtime during the move (not more than a few hours, though).

Something I've just noticed about that upper banner place where usually Google Ads are. Sometimes Drome's advertisements appear there too, you know, these ones:
"Donations
Help support the site by making a donation or visiting our online store! Enterprise Servers
Quality web hosting with a focus on customer support."
The problem is, after clicking on "Donations" or "Enterprise Servers", a new page opens in this small banner frame (at least in FF), which is quite unconfortable for the viewer :sweatdro: This bug doesn't occur with Google ads, though.

Thanks for letting me know!
