Hello, all.
After doing a few pages of TMNT trivia with X, and realizing he's a Playmates and old toon phenom, and I'm pretty good with the TMNT movies and ok with Archie and the new toon, so we desided we'd start a "Ask/Stump the Experts" thread. The premise is simple, u have a question, legitimate or an attempt to "stump" us, ask away. we'll answer it to the best of our ability, if we can't we're stumped.

This is actually a legit question that I've been wondering about for some time. In the old 'toon, what's the name of the episode where Metalhead makes his first appearance? I have an animation cell showing Don with Metalhead, and I think it might be from Metalhead's debut (since I'm sure he's been in two episodes).

Y'know, I just noticed that Metalhead's holding a vacuum. Could that mean that my animation cell is from the second episode? :???: I have a vague memory of Donny re-programming their former enemy and turning him into a housekeeper of sorts... Unless that happened in "The Making of Metalhead."

And Cubed, dunna, i guess it's a writers dissision, the Archie sereis took off from the show before Slash, and the storys had more grit to them, that may be it....

Oy... If only Roseangelo or Karpo were here to answer that question. I'm almost certain that Usagi appeared in a turtles book before they appeared in his own book. Could've been a Turtle Soup story where Leo faces Usagi in a duel. Too bad all my TMNT comics are at home. :(

Stan returned the favor for "Turtle Soup" (1987) where Usagi and Leo meet again. Usagi didn't meet the rest of the Turtles until Usagi Yojimbo volume 2 (Mirage) #1. Correct me if I'm wrong!

Well, the thing is that Fantagraphics #10 was published in August 1988...so if they "met" in Turtle Soup #1 from '87 (which I dont own, so I cant tell what stories are in it) then I guess their first meeting would me in the Turtle Soup book...and to be clear, the story was "The Crossing" with Leo and Usagi crossing paths in a very cool fight...

here's something I never understood about the first movie: In one of the scenes when the TMNT are on the farm, there is a panned out shot of the farm house , Donny is walking along, sees something, halts and immediately runs back. The question is: What the heck was that all about?

He doesn't run back, he like stops and then moves away and keeps walking. Maybe it was a cow pie or something LOL

Regarding the whole USA network thing, I think you'd have to be an expert to even remember when TMNT was on that channel at a certain time.

As for the little nugget in TMNT 1 with Donnie by the farmhouse, I myself think it is indeed a cowpie. Others say it's a beehive. But I question that. If it was a beehive, wouldn't Donnie be swatting at the bees and trying to get away? It's gotta be a cow patty.
