I could just puke. I bought this one pair of shoes in canada. It was a "Circa Thomas JT 204 tribute" (words not necessarily in that order) and it was just perfect.

Now, shoes are dead. They're not wearable anymore, I fixed them numerous times. Well, anyhow, I want new ones. Guess what. Jamie Thomas apparently broke up with circa, so no more tribute shoes. Good, whatever, I don't need a skull with wings (would have been nice though) so I had the brilliant idea of looking up circas other shoes. Well, the CX 204 and/or the 205 are basically the same shoe, only lacking the skull.

now, one thing I want my shoe to be is darkcolored. Black is usually best.

I now found a website that actually sells "my" shoes. "Cool" I thought "the rest is a piece of cake"... NOT! They sell that shoe in the color "Navy". Navy is not a color but an army on the sea.

What the hell kind of color is navy? Blueish, blackish?

If I had the money I'd buy me a pair of those (http://www.berlin-breslau.de/b_shop/images/products/Springerstiefel.jpg) again. The good ones.

Damn shoes. I know why I hate shopping, but now that even webshopping annoys me...

Navy is dark blue. In the NAVY!

Last time I went shopping for shoes, I ended up settling on the first pair of sturdy black-esque shoes under fifty bucks I could find at the BX. I'm one of those sorts of girls who has maybe five pairs of shoes, all in black. Makes coordinating damned easy.

And my thoughts on shopping in Canada: awesome. I used to do all the shopping I could up there when I lived in Montana/North Dakota because the exchange rate was so easy on the wallet.

I thought that it might be related to the german "Marineblau". D'oh. Navy still is an army. Like Prune, that's a fruit and not some sort of weird color. Why can't they just say "Hey, look this shoe is dark blue" it'd make a good song :D

Something like:

Looking for some new gear
Try and look here
we gots your new shoe
it's not navy it's dark blue.

I know, I'm too tired.

And I usually have two or three pairs of shoes. It's two at the moment.

- Adidas running shoes, for playing soccer (I couldn't face the public in these things)
- DVS (black), just for wearing everyday.

My boss used to complain about me. "Everywhere you go, it's the damned same pair of shoes".

Ahh, yes... the never-ending struggle to find the right shoes (or boots).

I will never forget the pair of Doc Marten's I got straight from England. Best shoes ever. Wore those til I had no treads, then I used them to 'ski' down hills when me and my neices went sledding.

Payless can go into the dumpster for the money I've wasted there. Being tall with.. uh... un-petite feet has its difficulties.

I Just bought some Magnums (Yes, police boots). And they are SO nice. Best things for the Downeast Winter.

I've gotta get a new pair of work shoes... the ones i have are falling apart. I can't find a decent pair for under 30 bucks though. You just can't afford $50 shoes on Burger Kings pay.

My mom buys my shoes. I tell her to get some random skateboarding type shoe (flat foot shoe, whatever). Yes, I'm too lazy to go out and buy my own shoes.

Just give me plain old tennis shoes. If they don't fall off, then I'm happy.

I don't ever care what I wear. Shoes included. I get one pair a year, for Christmas. I usually wear them until about the first week of January then switch over to the new pair I got for Christmas. I've got some kind of white sneakers now...don't know what kind, don't really care either.

I think I beat Peanut. I wear the same shoes for about two years at a time until they literally fall apart. The last pair of shoes I owned started out as an olive green and finished their service blue.

But to tell the truth, the only shoes ever to capture my heart were jellies. Life just doesn't seem worth living without jellies.

I want to start off by saying that I hate footwear. If I never had to wear a pair of shoes again I would be very happy. As I don’t wear shoes often, mine last a long time. I literally can’t remember the last time I had to buy shoes. I have one pair of sneakers for the winter, one pair of sandals for the summer. Speaking of which…

Why the hell can’t they make flat sandals anymore?!? I just want a nice pair of sandals that won’t fall off my feet, warp my legs, or add six inches to my height. Oh, and won’t cost half my savings. Is that too much to ask?

Sandals, something like this (http://www.theotol.nl/uploads/Zwemmen/adilette.jpg)?

I don't know... does a dark blue shoe suit me? It has been such a long time since I last had shoes that weren't black. Frell!

You'd be happy with some foot disease and scumbag feet. Seriously, have you ever seen the bottoms of your feet after walking around barefoot, sockless for a few hours?

Nope, they have no backs, they’d fall off my feet. *sigh* My search continues. I had good sandals once, flat soles, strips over the top, elastic behind the heel. They were good sandals.

*checks her feet* Yes, and I take good care of my feet. I’ve never had problems. I’m not stupid, I always wear shoes outside, I just go barefoot as often as I can. I can't wait to take my shoes off.

I have you both beat. I've been wearing the same pair of steel toed boots for almost 6 years. Although beat up and roughed out, they haven't started falling apart yet. They were black when I got them, now parts are white, gray, and blue.

I know it sounds gross to wear the same pair for almost a decade, but I clean them often and attempt to polish them every now and again. They're pretty well made.
