Hey guys, these are just some thoughts over the years that always stuck with me.

I loved the first season where the Turtles had the lines drawn on their noses. LOL! And occationally in season 2, they'd appear but after that, that was it.

I didn't even know the show was divided into seasons until I found the official website sometime last year. I used to divide the show into sections depending on where the technodrome was, which is funny because that's almost how the seasons were divided.

I loved episodes when the technodrome moved. It just seemed invincible! The first season, it was everywhere! I loved how it was refered to as a "compound".

I haven't seen every episode of the last five seasons. When I was young, the show used to come on 3 stations that I had. Up until 1993 or something, ASN (a canadian station) would play the same 50 episodes over and over (shows from seasons 1 to 4). Which wasn't bad but then one day, they started to air a whole bunch of new shows! After years of knowing what they'd play in order, this came as a complete shock! The new ones came from Seasons 4 and 5, although not all of them.
YTV (another Canadian station) played all of seasons 1-4 over and over but up until 1992 or something, they moved the show to weekends only and evetually it was Saturdays only until 1993 (I think) when it was cancelled.
CBS played 2 episodes back to back every Saturday morning but they consisted of only specific episodes from late in Season 4 and Seasons 6 onward (depending on the time - but not the Europe ones).

I stopped watching a bit during Season 7. I don't know why. I think it was because the episodes were too "out there" or something. LOL! Plus, didn't they stop airing the show during that time slot for a bit? So one weekend I realized it still came on. I still did watch once in a while after that to see a few shows with Dregg but I never got too attached to him. I haven't seen the last few episodes yet so I don't know how they finally get rid of Shredder or how the show ends.

Sorry to babble on.

Hmm... I liked the animation in the first season, especially the fight scenes. But for some reason, the lines that were drawn on the turtles' beaks bugged me. I dunno why, but it just seemed like the lines were out of place. :goofygri:

I think they looked better in the first season, but thats just matter of opinnion. The fight scenes were greatly animated in the first season, but after that the good fights died. I wonder why they didnt use the japanese company in the later seasons?

I truly miss the feeling of the first season. Why couldnt they made other seasons like that? They really should have kept the japanese animators.

There were a lot of changes after that first season . . .

Splinter's voice became softer. He didn't sound so harsh.

The lines on the Turtles' noses disappeared. Thank goodness because I didn't like that at all.

Vernon sounded different.

Burne Thompson sounded different.

Some of the background music was dropped.

Krang, Bebop and Rocksteady all underwent minor changes in voice and look.

Personally, I thought the animation for the Turtles was best in 1993. I don't really care much for the anime-look with the Turtles.

Yeah, their look in 1993 gave them height too. Hehehe! They had a more consistant look. The worst they looked was during some of the episodes of 1989 and 1990 when their movements and everything seemed sloppy. An example is the Turtles Of The Jungle episode, and Peking Turtles.

Well it's not the anime look what made thhe firts season best, it's the action animation. It was terrible after the first season.

Yes, the first episodes of the fourth season are not the best represenation of animated Ninja Turtles. Although I appreciate all the different looks of the Turtles during the course of the cartoon, the animations for episodes like the ones you described were my least favorite.
