Whoa, Whoa, Whoa! Now, are these TOYS or are they actual swords made for some serious butt-kicking? I only want to know because they look soooooooo real. If they are real, I want to know where the hell you got them because I WANT A PAIR! :D (It would only be fair!) Besides, they look really effing sweet!

Thanks for the compliments guys. They are real showstoppa, and I got them at China Bazaar in Gatlinburg, TN. But you could find them at probably any martial arts store. Here's the picture of my entire weapons collection:

For anyone else who may refer to me from now on, everyone can call me Show. They dubbed me that on my old forum.

Okay... now another question would be what kind of wrapping tape did you use to give them the now common feature of the headband colors? I know they make ducttape in all colors and they also make electrical tape in different colors... but I wonder... With the money you paid, surely you did not just put crap tape! :D

Also... how much would something like set a person back? I've made a quality bo staff before... and I used to have one when I was in Karate. The swords and Sai are what I'm really after though.

Nunchucks: 8.00 a pair
Sais: 20.00 together
Swords: 29.00 A piece
Bo Staff: Christmas present, but it shouldn't run you any more than 16 or so.
Actually, I just used colored duct tape. It gets the job done, and it's really inexpensive. I'm thinking about getting an original movie poster to display them with.

Zach... if I hooked you up with, oh, let's say a check for about $70, could you possibly take care of getting some stuff like that for me. Of coarse the money would cover shipping too!

i only have two pair of sai.

One is wrapped with red hockey stick cloth wraps and have dragons on the shaft and I integrated these neat little jade turtles hanging on the end. These one I call my Dragons, they're 21" and these I say are Raphs..well, my image of him.
And my pair are 20", my true size and one of these days when I find red cord I'll wrap my sai with that. Shureido are the expensive ones, are custom balanced beasts and they wrape with cord. Looks good.

Both sets are round instead of octogonal.

Wow, those are a lot cheaper than I would have expected. I've been considering doing something like this, and now I'm a lot more certain I want to! (But first I gotta figure out a way to display them OUT OF MY BABY BROTHERS' REACH. >.<)

I have got two katanas next to my bed. Always ready to hand :D
But there's only one difference: one is black and the other "white" ( like yin and yang ). I whish i could make a picture of them to set it in here, but I don't know how.

@ Zachatello one question please: don't get your hands bubbles because of the blue tape around the handholds??

They are really cool - I only have one question though: Don't you need some sort of weapon-permission to have those? We do here in Denmark...

Hey Garou,

I don't know, if you have spoken to me, but I am from Germany and I do not need a permission for it. Only for guns you need a gun-licence, but I don't like guns anyway.

Thanks for the complements.
As far as weapons permits go in the Us, as far as I understand, number 1, it's different in every state, and number 2, it depends what you are using them for. If I were to strap these suckers on my back and walk down main street, I'd need a permit for sure. But, for just displaying them with my turtle stuff, i don't need to do anything, so long as they stay on my property.

What do you mean by bubbles?

I asked if your hands would be blistered by those tapes around the handholds.
I found that word in my dictionary. :)
