My Space-Hoppin' and Ninja Knights won't hold their weapons, plus the Ninja Knights have all that additional armor that makes them even more difficult to pose and keeep standing. Argh! I've almost finished my set of '03-'05 turtles tho, so I'm happy even if these few give me grief. I know this post isn't really helpful but just in case anyone else has the same experience, I feel you pain. :x

The articulated hands look cool, but what good are they if the turtles can't even hold their weapons? Well luckily it looks like the turtle variants being released starting with the Battle Nexus turtles no longer have the finger joints.

Em, they do still have them. Take a look at the Toyfair photos.

As Hun would say "Oh crud!" I won't be buying any turtle variant with articulated hands ever again! It's just insane!

Great! Yeah I noticed that too! Playmates suck!
Hahaha, "Oh crud!" is right
I'm tempted to never buy another Turtle variation with those hands after the crapiness of the Ninja Knights. They can't hold their weapons up straight, or their shields practically at all. I didn't have any difficulty with the Fightin' Gear, Extreme Commando or Space Hoppin' either, just the Ninja Knights :(

I am opposite! My ninja knights are fine! It's the Fightin Gear that are being a pain!

After looking at the pictures again, It looks like the the cyborg turtles have un-articulated fingers, but the monster hunter turtles have the articulated hands. Also, what's the point of cyborg turtles? Does Mikey crash the Battle Shell really good causing everyone a massive injury in season 4 or what?

Cyber Turtles looks like the cyber turtles that they have in the archie comics and red sky series.

The only figures I have loose with the articulated hands are the Elite Commando's. Mine came with really tight joints, more so than normal but that's a good thing since they hold the weapons well.
If you'd like a simple and cheap solution to your figure problem just go to your local dollar shop. Go to the hair accessories section and you'll find those very thin, small, clear rubber bands. Same ones they use for Star Wars figures. Just place them on your figures hands and they'll keep the weapons from falling off. :) They also have them in black and an assortment of rainbow colors.

Thanks for the tip! My collection is almost complete so far - all I need now are Traximus and Ultimate Ninja. I'm gonna post some pics when it's finished.

Looks like you were right about the Battle Nexus Turtle variants, I got Leo and Mikey today and they don't have articulated hands :D
Makes me wonder if the actual release of future waves will have articulated hands at all. I know the toyfair photos have some variants with articualted hands, but those are prototype figures and maybe when they're produced for sale they'll have wave one hands...

Is the armor on the Battle Nexus turtles removable?
Haven't opened them yet but as far as I can tell the armour is totally removable, leaving you with Fightin' Gear articulation but wave one hands :D Looks like you won't need to swap those hands after all ;) Except for that they have slightly different head sculpts, but they're still cool looking.

I just bought Battle Nexus Leo yesterday and I am very pleased with this figure. The armor does come off if you turn his head to the side and slide the armor off over his head. The only problem is that he has just a regular belt so I will have to put on a different Leonardo figure's belt on him. The articulation is the same as the Fighting Gear Turtles, only without finger and toe articulation. I'm so glad these figures don't have the hand articulation.

on the deep diving turtles, the hinged hands work really well in my opinion.
In regards to the Battle Nexus turtles, all four have the same sculpt for the body and limbs, just different heads. It's a nice sculpt though.

Whoa!
What fighting gear turtles are those?
What the...????
Are those just repaints someone did themselves? I don't see Playmates releasing another set of Fightin' Gear repaints... unless they're making good on their US exclusive variants...
EDIT: On second thought, look at the paint detail on those figures, they'd hafta be customs.

im guessing prototypes?
On third thought, I think they're the mini figures. There's no hand or foot articluation. I doubt there would be official repaints for mini figs that are supposed to be straight replicas of the 5" figures.

They aren't the mini figures, unles the arms were resculpted. The mini figures have their weapons sculpted into their hands and Don has his arms outstretched to the sides with a bo in each one.
