Today, my friend brought a whole bunch of Gamecube games to Electronics Bontique, and got store credit for them. I decided that I should (sometimes soon) sell my own gameboy games for cash (he said that I could get cash instead of store credit).
However, I was wondering, how much owuld each game sell for, since I don't have the box and the gamepaks don't have like a bar code or wahtever... I do have teh instruction booklet for most if not all of them.
Here's the list of the gameboy games I have and probably will sell. A * mark games that I probably will keep no matter what, but I"m just wondering what they would fetch.
*Wario Land: Super Mario Land III
Wario Land III
Pokemon Blue
Dr. Mario
*Kirby's Pinball Land
*Donkey Kong 1994
Metroid II: Return of Samus
Kirby's Dream Land
Super Mario Land II: 6 Golden Coins
Final Fantasy Legend
Pokemon Gold
*Dragon Warrior Monsters
*The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
Azure Dreams
*Final Fantasy Adventure
Dragon Warrior III
Pokemon Sapphire
Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. III
*Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World
*Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodius
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past/4 Swords
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
I believe if you go to the GameStop official website, they have a section where you can find out how much games are worth if you trade them in.

Depends at some electronic stores. They rip people off some times.Check around for the best place to sell games.Gameboy games are not worth much money anymore. You might get 14 dollars for one.Less for other ones.

14 bucks? Please... you won't even get that much in trade in for most current games.
You're lookin' at 2 bucks a pop on each, easily.

Just because you buy something at that price doesn't make it the price it trades in for. Newer games get about 30-40 (Canadian) and some of the old onesl like 10 bucks. So 2 bucks a game sounds about right.
Yeah i doubt there is any regular gameboy game that they'd give you over $5 for. I planned on trading in a bunch of mine this summer and i think they offered me like $20 for everything including my original gameboy. I ended up selling everything for $50 bucks to a friend. I'm pretty sure he got ripped off but he offered and I accepted.

IceFlash, I hate to tell you this, but you're only gonna get enough in cash from that to buy maybe two games, and that's stretching it. If you want to sell them, go to ebay and get a good price from collectors. The assholes at Gamestop, and ESPECIALLY EB Games will only give you $2 a game. It's NOT worth it man.
Hell, I'll buy that Metroid 2 if it has the box. ;)
btw, why would you want to sell the games anyway?

I've traded in enough stuff over time to know you'd get screwed hard for trading that stuff in. Hell you can only get about $5 for Luigi's Mansion now, and that's for Gamecube. I'd have to agree that $2 is probably the most you'll get. Except for some of the GBA games, you might pick up $5 to $10 for those.

Go in when they have a deal. Sometimes they have deals where you trade in 3 games and get a extra 10 bucks store credit. Then you buy a game with it and either keep it or get a gift recipt for it and return it a week later for cash

Hmm... alright.. i'll have to see what my best course of action is. Thanks you guys..
I'm not selling ALL of these games, as some of them have semential value (Donkey Kong 1994 and LA was my very first GB games.., and I still play them every once in a while). Basically.. I realized that i barely touch my gameboy anymore, and I thought.. why not get some money off on this? *shrugs*
If i DO sell them on Ebay, should I sell them one at a time, or as a set?

Depends. If you sell them seperately, you might more money, but there will be more work with the shipping. If you sell them as a set, you'll be done faster, but you'll probobly get less dough. I dunno, it's up to you.
Then again, what do I know. I'm a collectot/fanboy, so I don't sell anything.
But $5 for Luigi's Mansion is a total joke, especially when they'll resell for $29.95. That's f*cking ludicrous. Ebay my friend. Don't let them treat you like a fool at EB Games.

Too bad EB Games don't care about classic values or Retro-ness... *tears* Thanks you guys for your help.

The majority of the modern gaming world dosen't. It's just something you have to learn to live with after time. Still, it's sad.
