a second Space Ghost mini is in the works and that DC is also looking at giving this treatment to some other HB characters!

I'm all for seeing more comic revamps, such as the Herculoids, and Thundar The Barbarian, they'll have the same deapth that Space Ghost currently has.

I'm wondering if this means we'll see the return of a more serious...

...BIIIIIRRRRRRRRDDDDDDDDDDDDMAN!

(Which, like Space Ghost, I'll probably die laughing if I even ATTEMPT to take it seriously, sorry folks, I love the original shows to death, but thier reps were tarnished by Adult Swim's writers, not to say I won't like the revamps)

...Now if you'll excuse me, I think I'll wait for the upcoming Superted mini-series where Spotty gets AIDS and goes on a killing spree...

Just read Space Ghost #4 this week. The book keeps getting better and better. I knew a second mini, or even an on-going, was inevitable. According to Wizard and the guys at my shop, the book sold specatcularly. I'm looking forward to seeing the new designs for the classic villains (and I LIKE Zorak's new look).

As for the other Hanna Barbara action cartoons, I dunno. Space Ghost was the only one that was somewhat "cool". Birdman, the Galaxy Trio, Kazam, Moby Dick, Frankenstein Jr...those were all pretty lame. I could see the Herculoids working, though. No doubt about that.

Yeah, that's why I listed so few of the characters in the previous posts, Herculoids were pretty damn good for some material, but Frakenstien JR? WAYYYYYYY too stupid.

I just read Issue Four myself, Jan and Jayces' introduction is a nice touch, I would have prefered it if they had been introduced in a Dick Grasyon-esque manner in the second mini-series, still, keeping the story condensed in six issues per year is better and does'nt risk overexposure.

Does this also mean the return of a more serious Hair Bear Bunch?

Yeah, Hair Bear will probably just threaten to bite into Peavly's arm, and rip it off if he ever blabbed that they have equipped thier cave with various accomedations...and they'll be pot smokers.

What about "Dastardly and Mutley in thier Flying Machines", where Mutley hijacks an american airline and goes Jhad on the Pidegon?

Actually, Dick Dastardly and Muttly's Flying Machine would likely be a World War I period peice. Dick Dastardly and Muttly, leading the rest of the German airforce, would viciously hunt down Yankee Doodle Pigeon in order to prevent him from carrying messages between the allies.

So...basically, it would be just like the original show. Except with more blood and guts, I'm sure.
