Question: Turtle hand swap?

I have the Fighting Gear turtles and the regular turtles. I like everything about the Fighting Gear turtles better when they are not in their armor but I really don't like the hands because they can't hold their weapons. My question is, has anyone ever tried heating up the hands on the regular turtles and the Fighting Gear turtles, pulling the hands off and doing a hand swap so that my Fighting Gear turtles would have regular non-articulated hands? I don't want the pegs that let the hands turn to break off on any of my turtles.

Yep it's been done. A few months ago there were a lot of threads about this and they used the warm water trick. All of them went off without a hitch as far as I know :) I've tried it myself for Commander Mozar's tail and it worked wonders, haha.
