2.TeenTitans. I hate YJ. it ruined what Impulse, and Superboy originally were.. Teentitans is changing all that stuff. and sort of bringing it back to its roots. and to the people who loved YJ. sorry nothing against you.. Im just stating my opinion. so i hope we are still cool.
'course we are still cool, but could you please tell me what was ruined with SB and Impulse.
G. Johns is doing a great job with the TT, as lame as Graduation Days was, he saved a series I considered doomed.

Well I mean.. in YJ.. all superboy did was argue with robin.. in his own run during the beginning.. before everything got to silly he was a wise ass. totally full of himself.. cool character.
and.. just read my explaination about impulse from my last post.

I see what you mention, but I think it's just that with YJ, all the heroes had other worries. They didn't hang with YJ because of some Superhero alliance, they just were a bunch of friends. Sort of like the Titans used to be under Nightwing.
And that Superboy-thing you mentionned, I think it's just that everybody feels a bit odd around Robin, since he does know everything. You know what I'm saying? I mean, he is that kid who was trained by the greatest detective ever, he is the kid who just about do anything without any superpowers. I'm pretty sure, that this sort of had its impact on the others. I mean, how would you feel, being the mightiest teen alive, standing opposite this regular kid in red an green tights knowing that he could finish you off with ease?

Yeah i definitly agree with you. in YJ robin in my opinion was a kick ass character. which in teen titans we arent seeing.

I dig this debate, its probably the first comic debate without arguing.
Anyway. I think YJ was trying to find different aspects of characters, mind you Impulse wasnt as main stream before YJ, and he was the poster child for A.D.D., that was shown in the first run of his comics, with his short ****ing attention span. I loved Impulse since I picked up the first graphic novel. He was someone I could relate to. In TT, he just seems way too confident, and is that all cause of the stupid ass costume, and name Kid Flash? It just seems like hes trying to be what Wally West was. And he can't, he's better, but no one realizes that.
Even if he is about 2.
I also wanna add to my list, Nightwing, specifically "Love & Bullets"
Lets not forget POWERS. This series defined how badass Brian Micheal Bendis is.

I have no idea why they made the switch to Kid Flash either. Impulse seemed a good idea, with a lot of potential.
Oh, yeah, I have split this thread since there could be some interesting character development issues in here.
Speking of which, I think YJ also sort of focussed on some sort of growing up. I mean, if you compare Impulse from YJ #1 to the Impulse in the end, then you'll note a huge difference. For the characters involved, there sure was a lot of development.
And am I the only guy who thinks that Robin was admired by most of his temmates?

I think his teammates admired him, for giving it his all while having no powers. He was doing this crazy stuff even though he could die.
Thats why I dug SuperBoy not digging Robin that much. He admired the guy, but he felt like He, himself, was pretty much invincible, and risked almost nothing, and people admired Robin over him.

Hey, that brings me to another thought. You know, Superboy always was a sort of macho-guy. But maybe he sort of realized, hanging around Robin, that he'd never be able to stand up to him. I mean, if Robin stood up to a Supervilian, then it'd never be the same as Superboy standing up to a Supervilian. Robin just is so much more heroic than he'll ever be.
And I loved Harm's (a character that could have had more "screentime") words about Robin...
Oddly enough, Robin and Superboy are best friends now. When did that happen?

Thats basically what I meant by my post,Anarky. It's so bad for SB.
