View Full Version : what I hope to see in the new toon...

I hope to eventually see Krang and the Technodrome. They could work them in somehow. I know that they are trying to stick to the comic, but think about it. In the Batman Animated Series, there was Harley Quinn. SHe wasn't in the comic until that series came out. They could stick to the comics and have some variations. Just as long as Shredder and Krang are badasses and not bumbling sterotypical villians...

I actually have a rather interesting idea for a theory. Suppose they had Krang as one of the Utroms, only he happened to be a mad scientist who helped engineer the mutagen. I guess it could build from there.

But seriously speaking, they probably won't be going itno that direction.

they specically said:

-NO KRANG
-NO TECHNODROME
and especially:
-NO BEBOP & ROCKSTEADY

This time, you'll see how the TMNT cartoon was really meant to be!

That dosent suck. Thats what TMNT is supposed to be, Dark with with a deep plot. Not some kiddies goofy show.

How dark can it be, its still pointed at little-midage kids, not us. Besides fox still has guide lines that must be met, so chances of shades of shows past may occure in small doses

Because it follows the mirage plot line, it means that it's probably ok for older fans too. Like New He-man or Justice league. I like both shows.

True but CN doesn't have as strick guide lines as to what can be on, Fox is still network and has to follow certian rules. Besides look at the times, TMNT morning, He-Man/JL Afternoon/night they'll be pulling in a younger audiance si it can't follow the comics to the letter, yes if it was when Fox made Batman I'd have more faith in a dark TMNT, but as of late with their shows, I dought it'll be as dark as most older fans would want.

Yes I could be wrong and pray I am, but I'm looking at what I can see right now, and it doesn't look good for a Dark TMNT. Semidark Yes, but not full scale, more than the old toon, but still with certain old toon eliments. Its about comprimise, and shows with a good dark plot don't fair well on early fox

Yeah i know it wont be as dark as the original comics. But I still believe it can be a good show, much better than the old one. Of course this is only what I hope, but Peter Laird is now closely involved in making it so there is a good chance it will become a great series.

I quoted myself so you could again read what I said. I didn't mean it to be some kid's show and to be funny....Krang could be a major evil being and the technodrome could whoop some tale...

Ratking is a mirage character too. First appearance in Tales of TMNT #4.

Well, I imagine Karpo got issue one by buying it. Obviously, geting the first print of it would much more difficult, and much more expensive. But newer prints are pretty cheap, and not all that hard to find.

Yeah. Actually Volume 1 is pretty easy to get if you have the money. Volume 2 on the other hand is pretty rare.

Y'mean the old cartoon? Ace Duck just had a cameo in one of the episodes, while Man Ray was in at least one episode. I don't know if he shows up again. I'm sure one of the resident toon experts will be able to answer your question. ;)

yeah but the Wingnut/Scerw loose and Leatherhead figs sucked
so even if we had them they'd still look like crap

Yeah i never did like how they had Leatherhead. I've got to get the episode with Man Ray. Thats so cool that he was in it. Thats weird too because there was anoather mutant named Ray he was a eel i think. He kidnapped April and turned her into a fish.

Oh yeah, I remember that well. It was also one of the rare scenes where we'd see her cry. For some reason she seemed kind of upset about the idea of becoming part guppy.

Yea, I kinda liked Leatherhead cuz most of the bad dudes were outside of the sewer, while he kinda lurked in it... I also hope Tokka is in it, maybe even Rahzar... :goofygri: :thyper: :thyper: :thyper:

Was Rhazar ever in the cartoon? All I remember him from is the game, and he had really cool ice moves! Tokka, again, all I remember him from was the game, was he in the old series either? Still trying to get back in the swing of things, sorry, lol. :lol:

Though they were both originally in the second movie, Tokka and Rahzar did have a small part in one cartoon episode. #167 - Dirk Savage: Mutant Hunter.

just checking cuz i was in wal mart or target a year ago and i bought a tmnt sticker pack and it had leatherhead in it but it didnt give his name
