I have all three of the TMNT movie DVDs. I love that I get to watch the widescreen versions but I'm dying for some special editions! Now a days, when a movie gets a new sequel, the studio hypes it up by releasing special edition DVDs of the prior release. Could the first TMNT trilogy get that treatment? I would absolutely love seeing 2 disc editions of the trilogy. Making of documenteries, commenteries, deleted scenes, etc. etc. Ooooo. I'm getting giddy! :D Do you think it has a chance of happening?

A topic that comes around quite frequently. Yes we all want SE versions of the TMNT movies. Is it likely to happen? I have no friggen idea. I would think that since they were made in the time that the old toon was out I wouldn't count on it any time soon anyway. Though we do have Season 2 coming out in 2 weeks! Anyone hear anything about a possible season 3 DVD yet?

We need a SE of the first film. There's some GREAT scences that have yet to see the light of day. Laird definetely wants it. With the new movie on the way, it's looking promising!

By the looks of things it seems all things TMNT do sell. So maybe it would be time to give New Line Cinema a hint, in one way or the other.

I assume highly that around the release (officially) of the new movie, you will see the release of a SE of TMNT1. I doubt that you will see one before then. You also see it a lot with other movies: Spider-Man, Get Shorty, etc. It's really sickening if the first isn't released on SE. Matter of fact, I will DESTROY Bob Shaye for not doing it! (He's the President and CEO of New Line Cinema, whom said that New Line was built with the help of Freddy Krueger and "...Those pesky Turtles.")

Who knows when, If ever. Im so suprised that New Line doesn't just release them for the power of the "Mighty Buck".

The movie is being made by WB? Not that I don't believe you, but do you have a link about this?

It's being produced by Imagi and distributed by WB/Weinstein, search TMNT movie 2007 and the link will pop up as one of the first found.

I WANT SPECIAL EDITIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so disapointed when I got the DVDs and the only special edition was that silly sewer game...instead of making a game they could have just PUT ON THE EXTRA FOOTAGE! Arg! It would annoy me to have to buy DVDs that I already own, but for SE Turtles I would GLADLY do it.

The only thing on the DVD considered a special feature are the trailers.

Well they remastered the first movie in Europe right? Why not bring it over here? With how popular TMNT is I can expect to see re-releases of the old movies. Around the time they trailers start for the new movie

The "Remastered' TMNT just re-edited the movie with the nunchucks put back in....quick question...how does Splinter get the upperhand on Saki with out chucks?

Or mybe they edited it so that it goes from Splinter dodging Shredder to Shredder falling to his "death".
