I might get them because they are the same size as the teen titan's figures.

I might pick these up as well. Why they decided with this specific weight lifting turtle variation baffles me but at leat they all have their origional weapons. They should have just released them with their weapons and thats it. At least these are smaller so my shredder and other secondary characters will look that much more menacing next to them not to mention fit to scale with the cartoon :D

Hmmm..interesting choice...the weight lifting set from the begining has been my least favorite variant..but oh well..i will have to get them of course...wonder how much they'll go for...?

These are completely absurd I'm sorry but I think Id much rather had the goofy old turtles in silly costumes back opposed to these figures they keep rehashing 5 bazillion times....I mean seriously atleast change there bodies or faces....such cheapness and seriously it shows...

I would be more interested if they weren't all essentially the same turtle with different paint and a different accessory thrown in. I mean, I understand barbells are the safe and easiest way to go but honestly, all four are essentially identical. And they expect the Turtle collectors to spend all this money to get all the variations of each toy! Man... I need to earn more to support all the variations! =P

Cool. It seems to me that the the 3 inch scale is getting a much needed revival.

Although these figures don't seem to be the best. It'd be nice to see more characters done in this scale. That reminds me are those Exosuit turtles 5 inch or are they 3.5 inches?

As far as I know the Turtles inside the exosuits are the exact same as the first wave of mini figures. I got mini Leo free with Volume 4 of the new toon DVD and he's the exact same. So to answer your question they're neither, I just measured mine and he's about 2 and a quarter inches:P

I'm a weightlifter so I love these. The regular sized weightlifting turtles seemed to sell pretty well. I only see Mikey on the pegs.

For all variant turtles I just pick up a Leo from the set and pass on the rest, unless they're really cool (I'll probably pick up all 4 turtle mechs). Have yet to get air ninja leo or the beyblade rip off leo, but I'll get them eventually.

These are awesome though, they'll fit in with Star Wars and GI Joe which are both 3.75". The turtles are naturally smaller than humans so them being 3.5" is just even better. The fact that these come with their signature weapons is great on Playmates part. If you don't like the weightlifting stuff just throw it out. I'll probably get 3 of each of these if they have a smaller price tag than normal figures. 1 to open 1 to keep moc and 1 for my boss.

Any word on if these have started hitting shelves along with the new regular sized tmnt figures? I'm really looking forward to these mini figures because if they are indeed 3.5" they'll fit in perfectly with my ROTS Star Wars, GI Joe figures, and maybe even Marvel's Super Hero Showdown figures.

It seems that the smaller form figures are making a comeback and I'm very pleased because they save space, money (usually), and are just easier to handle (I like playing with my toys :D )

I just saw this post and if you're talking about the NEW exosuit figures:
http://afigures.com/g/?mode=view&album=05_Toy_Fair%2FPlaymates%2FTMNT&pic=01030182.jpg&dispsize=800&start=45

Then I can't give you a definite answer. It really depends on how big the armors turn out to be. I remember seeing some pics from those armors at toyfare where they were next to regular figures and they seemed pretty big. If that's the case then it's the regular 5" tmnt figures in there. Also the TMNT in there are the exact same sculpts as the ones from the initital wave of 2003 figures so if anything I'd guess those are 5" and not 3" figures.

After looking at them more it looks like the 1st wave tmnt heads on the battle armor tmnt bodies. Raph seems to have articulated hands but donny doesn't so I'm not sure if they just threw figures in there or what's gonna happen. They could have just thrown figures in there to show them off and they'll end up switching figures in there by the time they ship since I don't think they're close to being out yet.

<<The package is from the basic line of turtles and should be packaged in with all the rest of the 5" figures.

Regarding this email:
Dear Playmates Toys,
Recently while browsing the internet I ran accross these Ninja Turtles figures:
http://www.ninjaturtles.com/toys/2005/rippedup/moc_leo.html

The link is to a picture of the "Mini Ripped-Up TMNT Leonardo Figure". I emailed the site administrator Dan Berger and he was unsure of when these figures would begin to ship to stores, and which stores they would indeed ship to.

Perhaps you can shed some light on my questions? The figures do not looke like they fit in with the regular toy line so I was wondering if they would be exclusive to certain stores (like CVS or Family Dollar like the 2" Turtle figures) or if they would have a large release to stores like Wal-Mart. Also when will they begin to pop up on the store shelves?

Thanks,
Ectocooler

Hey guys...

Well, i went to Family Dollar today to see if I could find some more Foot to add to my army, when i discovered that they had the new mini Ripped TMNT!

They were $2 each (instead of the usual $1) but I guess considering these have a nuber of accessories, it could be worse...

I attached a photo that compares the ripped to the standard minis (i found 2 Foot as well!)...so far all 4 ripped and the the 2 Foot, it came out to $10.67..not too bad

I still have yet to find the Air Ninja Minis...those out yet??
