I've seen a lot of pictures online about bootleg TMNT toys. Most of the time, the colors are wrong or the initials on the belt are wrong. I can't remember the URL for the website, though... The webmaster enjoyed collecting bootleg toys.

I have Karate Master (http://www.bootlegactionfigures.com/splinter.htm) :D He's not in his box but I only paid a dollar or so for him at the local 2nd hand store.

I also picked up some sort of Raphael "water baby" that day too :goofygri: You can fill him with water via a nozzle on the back of his shell and he wiggles just like a real baby! cutchy cuuuu!

Ah, when a series gets really popular there are usually a lot of bootlegs, at least here...most of em are pretty funny and they usually get the names wrong or the coloring... :lol:
Like this goku action figure i had, his hair fell off and now he's bald, he looks hilarious :P
Some other products are actually pretty good, like the dragonball gt action figure i have of Pan, they got all the colors right and it seems to be done right since so far none of her parts fell off :P
So anyways...i only have 2 tmnt bootleg merchandise, the coloring book and the inflatable mike...or is it raph... :dead: (no it's not that kind of inflatable toy sickos :P it's like a beach ball, but it's not a ball, but a turtle, got it?good. :goofygri: )
The coloring book is pretty weird, but it's ok, even tho they should've atleast tried to draw em a little better.
The inflatable turtle's actually pretty cool and definitely one of my fave toys :D the only bad thing is that his bandana, pads and hand thing are red, while his belt has an M on it, so it's either comic mike or a toon raph with an m on it so they wouldn't be sued :goofygri:
It seems to be made in china (surprise surprise!duh, most of the bootleg crap comes from there :goofygri: ) and imported from there, then sold in argentina...funny, it even has an address but i've never gone there...the coloring book also has an address...the nerve of some guys.
I have 2 action figures that i'm not sure if they're bootleg or original, but i'm guessing they were original since the package was the same than the original and the action figures itself look like the original ones.
That's all i have...when the new toon comes out, if it gets popular enough you can bet there'll be bootleg merchandise everywhere here like what happend with pokemon to name but one, if that happens i'll try to get some stuff then post here again :P

I only tried using those machines like twice, and not only was i not able to get the tweety plush i wanted but i lost my also-bootleg bikermice action figure and had to buy another one :goofygri:
So in conclusion, that machine was a waste of money and gave me bad luck, and i'm not touching another one ever again :P
Unless there's something tmnt in it...in that case i might do an exception, tho i'll prolly won't get anything ;)

LOL! My mom's a total wiz at those games! She got me my cool Great White Shark plushie! :D

I like the smaller ones, where the claw looks like something off construction equipment. Where you get little rings, pencils, and temporary tattoos. I used to get these card packs called Everway Vision Cards. They were by Wizards of the Coast or something. They had cool pictures on the front, and questions on the back you'd have to answer about the picture. Like "Who is this person?" "What are they doing?" I use them to practice my writing and imagination skills.

But they stopped putting them in the machine, and I can't find them anywhere else. :(

As it pertains to bootlegged merchandise, I still wonder to this day whatever happened to that guy that was selling homemade DVDs, or whatever those things were, on eBay a while back. I think someone on these boards said he/she reported the person to eBay, but I wonder if his auction was a scam or not . . .

Other than that, I have never come across any bootlegged memorabilia.

Well...'scam', it depends on how you see it.
They were actual working dvds (vcds actually but kinda the same thing only less quality)
So they did worked, it's just that it was lower quality...and i don't think the auction stopped...well actually i lost the link to the auction so i couldnt keep track of it but in ebay stuff like that almost never gets closed.

I love collecting those things! Some of them are so cheezy but that's what I like about 'em. I took a pic of some of the bootlegs in my collection.

My favorite bootlegs to date, are the TMNTortoise's. They're so cute! They're mini replicas of the original figures. Even the tiny belts are removable. Much Cuteness! :goof: You can see a close up photo here:

yeah it's goofy but I like it. :P I bought practically all my bootlegs off eBay. I found a seller who had a large collection of them and I bought practically everything he had.

Can you put the origin of the Fighting Action Turtles on your site? You know the one on the back of the box.

The origin is exactaly the same as those from the official playmates line. The only differance is the story's in the wrong order. They also mixed up the Turtle's names. :P

Woah! I actually collect those same Aliens from the Capsule Machines. Those as well as the Multicolored Ninjas. I love them! Those are very clever customs Kali, and oh so cute. :D

Ok i scanned my bootleg tmnt figures (Yes *SCANNED* em! =P They are probably blind now or something. ) but they're not very original (no, not orignal in a legit way :p i mean...they were based on the original ones)

I had no idea they were bootleg untill someone suggested me to look at their feet for copyright info....oh and splinter's kimono is homemade because i lost the one that came with it and i didn't wanted to stare at the naked splinter any longer >=P
I've also scanned 2 bootleg tmnt keychans, i think i had another one but i lost it.
I was going to scan my bootleg tmnt coloring book but the art was so painful to even look at that i wont...yes, i'm so nice, you can thank me later :p

Nay you're seing things :embarass: actually, splinter's kimono is so big that it covers part of his head, but his head is there, if you look closely you can see his nose comin' out =O)
As for rez420's question...never!LOL :) but hey, the bootleggers figured tmnt was selling and they used that to sell too :D like dragonball z, im sure there's unrelated bootleg merchandizing like guns or whatever with the dbz logo in them, just because the series is popular.

The error is on the Fighting Action Turtles line. I'll get a photo of the backer card up ASAP. I'll need to wait for my cameras batteries to charge.

My favorite Bootleg line would have to be the Karate Warriors. I received several more Bootlegs about a month or so ago. 3 Talking Turtles on card, All four TMNT wearing White Gi's, all still on card. A few Loose Figures some with White Gi's others with Black Gi's. They're very nice figures IMO.

Those pictures are of the actual Bootleg Toys I own. I knew a guy who had tons of Bootleg TMNT's. I bought everything he had. I paid at least $10 per item. More for rarer items. I'm a serious collector so I don't mind paying more for harder to find stuff, even if they are bootlegs.

The TMNT line also has a set of talking TMNT. They use strips instead of a button, but I like them. The ones in the picture I posted are the bootleg talking turtles.
