Anyone who read Avengers: Disassembled saw this coming. And I snagged the free House Of M Sketchbook from the comic shop. It looks amazing. I signed right up for the HOM main series to be thrown in my box.
The series will span these titles:
House Of M #1-8
Spider-Man H.O.M. 1-5
Fantastic Four H.O.M.1-3
Incredible Hulk 83-86
Iron Man HOM 1-3
Mutopia 1-4
Uncanny X-Men 462-465
Wolverine 33-35
Exiles 69-71
New X-Men 16-19
Secrets Of House Of M
The Pulse: H.O.M. Special Edition
Black Panther 7
Capt. America 10
New Thunderbolts 11
The Pulse 10
Cable/Deadpool 17

Wow... I didn't realize House of M would expand through so many titles. Don't know if I'm gonna pick them all up, but I'm definitely looking forward to the House of M mini-series itself. Can't wait to see what Marvel's gonna do to shake things up.

So, anyone got it yet?
I found it a little underwhelming. But, I guess it's just laying the paving first.

What books have been released so far?

Just the first one for now. I've also noticed Bendis is giving Spidey a lot of attention already :P

Did anybody pick up the latest issue(#3)? What did you think of Bendis's "internet shattering" last page? I thought it was pretty anti-climactic and not worth any of the hype.

Im saying this as a Comic book fan, not a DC fanboy, but this house of M crap is pathatic! So far from what I haev read, its just no good, they should of left this story on the cutting room floor.
House of M is nothing compared to DC's Countdown to Infinite crisis, I was expecting so much more from marvel.
but since House of M isnt over yet, they may just be able to save it....but I doubt they'll be able to....

Marvel always seems to be one step behind DC when it comes to big crossover event titles.
DC did Crisis on Infinte Earths which had every character in the DCU come together to fight in a world shattering battle. Marvel showed up months later with their Secret War that centered around tons of grtuitous crossovers and had easily no effect on the Marvel Universe save for paving the way for Venom (but the Secret War was more interested in promoting the new Secret Wars toyline than good story-telling).
DC did Identity Crisis, a very story about a very personal tragedy that shook up the hero community in the DCU. Marvel came up with their brilliant Disassembled story arc to shake-up their own hero community with needless, pathetic deaths.
DC is doing the Infinite Crisis, a story spanning every title in the DC line-up with guaranteed reprocussions to the DCU. Marvel's coming out with it's House of M arc, spanning every title in the Marvel line-up.
I'm a DC fan, but I'm a Marvel fan just as much. But I don't know, it seems whenever DC comes up with some major event title for the year the Marvel execs just say "Hey, let's do one of those too" and it always comes off as second-rate.

It's overly hard to tell what the hell is going on, I.e. the white light with Spidey at the end of Ish 1.
But I still like it.
But then again it's nothing (so far) compared to Avengers Disassembled.

House Of M #1-8
Spider-Man H.O.M. 1-5
So far I have:
House of M 1 and 2
Spiderman House of M 1 (kinda odd to see Uncle Ben alive)
Iron Man HOM 1 (Just got this today...Johnny Storm doesn't have any powers and Iron Man's dad is alive...)
Apperantly Wolverine is supposed to be the one that thinks something is off.

Yep, Wolverine knows he's not in the correct universe, and so do Psylocke and Rachel, if you read this weeks issue of Uncanny.

Well, reality is being altered. I could spoil it for you and tell you what I think is going on but it's only based on the 1st issue. I need to pick up the rest.

I know what's going on, with Wanda altering reality. I think it may involve Magneto trying to protect her. Blah-blah.

I think it's to do with people getting what they wish for.

That might be, considering Wolverine always wants to remember everything. And If he gets what he wants in this, he'll remember the -real- world.

Got #2 and #3. I'm tempted to get the alternate #1 cover.
I don't know enough about the Marvel universe to get a lot of it. But I pick up bits. Gambit gets a nice little appearance, well, not nice, but it's Gambit nonetheless
And if it is people getting what they really want...Cyclops and...? Wolverine and...? Just wow...

If you're referring to Cyclops and Emma, it's nothing new. they've been together for awhile now.

I know that. But never really figured that'd be who Cyclops would really choose...
But then my theory's probably all wrong.

Oh, I gotcha now. Ya, now that I think about it, I'm surprised it's not Jean. But maybe because she's dead in the regular universe, she can't be alive in this new one.....

But Gwen Stacey is back...
Maybe it's more what Emma wanted...I don't know :ohwell:
EDIT: Just read #4. Maybe my theory was right. Wolverine seems to think the same thing.

I finally snagged Issues 3 and 4, and I'm sorry guys, I'm not dissapointed. With all the recent deaths lately, this is kind of refreshing. If that makes sense. The return ofHawkeye is a treat, since I was upset by his dismissal the most.
The covers are cool, and Wolverine is still hardcore: The way they removed the tracer? Nice...
Also, read an interview with Bendis in Wizard, said he ain't killing anyone for the next 12 months....-maybe-.
