Well for a start try to be on the north west side cause basically everything else is kind of dangerous....
you can visit the beach althought venice beach can get a little creepy
Santa monica is nice , you can visit the 3st. promenade and the pier
Hollywood is always a must see for visitors to see the kodak theatre on highland , chinese theatre and the small musems that are on the area ,around the area is La Brea museum wich is interesting and LACMA, DONT forget to go to PINK'S hotdogs theyre on la brea st. theyre a must if you go to hollywood.
If you go to Burbank theres a Bob's Big Boy restaurant wich is like a landmark.
Around that area you can visit Melrose or The Farmers Market those two places have a bunch of stores and restaurants.
You can take the studio tours most studios have those .
the universal citywalk is really cool .
Santa monica Blvd. is pretty cool is full of stores , restaurants ,comedy clubs and some comic stores.
Westwood has a lot of stuff too plus the Jay and Silent Bob Store.
If you need more info you can PM me :) I hope you have fun in L.A

Every time my mom's in LA, she sneaks into various production lots and rummages around. It takes a certain amount of stealth and a great cover story, but its pretty rewarding. She ran into a buncha celebs. George Clooney hit her with a basketball on accident. And the highlight of her trip she slipped into the DS9 set while they were filming a few scenes and snuck into the Captain's Chair on the Defiant set. And then proceeded to pose for a picture.
