Thats a little too expensive for me... But that picture is from TMNT GN I by first comics. It has the first 3 issues in full color. I think that I might get those books some day.

That is the ultimate collectors item, but I doubt that any TMNT collector is so wealthy...
True. He'd have an easier time finding a buyer if he split the collection up. But then it wouldn't be the whole collection, and he probably doesn't want it split up anyway. Let's hope some museum buys it so everyone can enjoy it.

Yeah.. a mueseum would be the best bet. Was Kevin's collection on display at Word and Pictures, before they closed up? (I never had the chance to go there to see)

Doesn't he have some kind of museum himself?

Eastman? He used to, but I believe it closed down. :( The museum is still around in an online sense. I don't remember the URL right now. If someone doesn't post it, I'll look for it tonight. Last time I visited, there was a special display for Elektra.

Hmmm... *searches thru pocket* nope, no money here...oh hey, a slice of pizza! :tpizza:
Maybe you should sell a 'mega-geeky-huber-expensive-ultra-rare-hyper-collectable-mint-on-card-never-been-out-of-the-package-out-of-print collector's edition jonas & mortimer action figure' and sell it for one million dollars :P
Yes, i still think this pic is hilarious

Nickokapo
12-21-2002, 05:58 PM

Everyone who claims to be a TMNT fan should know who Eastman and Laird are.

Well it's almost the same if you watch Lord of the Rings and don't know who tolkien is...
I didn't know who Eastman and Laird were for a long time. Mostly back when I was young and not interested in anything except the Turtles themselves. Even now I couldn't care less about credits.

Well I knew around the time show came to Finland. There was a article about TMNT in a news paper.

I didn't know who they were until around my TMNT rebirth 2 years back. Although older fans ussually do know.

I found it out when I read my first Archie and it said "Eastman and Laird's" above the Turtle-logo... :P And the were sometimes mentioned in the swedish letter pages.

That is true, they used the "Eastman and Laird's" title from the Mirage series logo and underneath was the cartoon version of the TMNT title. Infact, Eastman and Laird helped design covers for some of those issues and they were really good.

I know that atleast Laird pencilled some covers.
Jephael

I believe Kevin only helped with some of the earlier issues. If you've seen the first two covers (which are an adaption to the 6th ep of the cartoon), that's his work.
