I got no idea. I always wanted that issue, but could never find it. It looked rather... interesting, I thought.

Th e Conservation Corps were a bunch a mutant animals created by an alien to protect the nviroment. There were five of them, a buffalo, rhino, hedgehog, firefly and a shark.

It was actually a cool little mini-series.

Ok Here is the histoty of the short lived Conservation Corps

First Their was a special called TMNT meet the Conservation Corps
Which was b asically about the orgin, meeting the TMNT and stopping Oily Duck. Then at the end they went to find the missing 5th member.

There a three issue mini-series made

#1 - Breifly Re-Explained their Origins, and had Stone Hedgehog, Greenhorn and FireFly go to an alien planet to find their creator while Water Buffalo stayed on earth to find the 5th member who was n ever revealed until issue 2.

#2 - Finally reveals the identity of the 5th member whos a female shark named Sky Shark, Bufaalo & Sky Shark then go and join the rest of the team but are kidnapped by an alien and new improved Robo Oily Bird.

#3 - They defeat Oily Bird and there is a second story where they quickly meet up and face StyranoFoamus Rex and it's to be continued. The readers are left with this last message
"Whew! Is This A Titnic story or what? Bet You Can't Wait To See How It Ends! If You'd Like Us To Finish It Cast Your Votes For More Conservation Corps Bu Writing To.....

Their was sadly never a follow-up story and we were just left hanging.

I've heard of that. My little brother dug the 3rd issue out of my comic shop's children's section's back issue bin. I haven't actually read it but it looked kind of cute.

yeah, i have one of their comics.....

not that I have anything against environmentalism or anything, but those are seriously some of the lamest characters in all of comic book history.
