Hey everyone, it's me, the great NeoBix, back to terrorize you all with my infamous "Soandso Versus Soandso" threads!!!!
Yeah, they banned me for a while cuz I was being a bad boy like Raphael, but now I'm ready to be a good turtle like Leonardo. Or should I be a crazy, wild party dude like Mikey?? Hey, maybe I should become a buddhist engineer like Donatello... I don't know. Anywho, it's good to be back you guys. Where all my old homies at??
And what the HELL is this new stuff I'm hearing about a NEW TURTLES MOVIE!??!?!? OMFG I CAN'T WAIT FOR IT!!!
Here's my ideas for the cast...
Casey Jones: Collin Ferrel
April O'Neil: Elisha Cuthbert (damn she's hot!!)
Leonardo's voice: Mel Gibson
Michaelangelo's voice: Adam Sandler
Raphael's Voice: Al Pacino
Donatello's Voice: Rick Moranis
Shredder: Jet Li
Splinter's Voice: Morgan Freeman
So what do you guys think of my ideas??? And be honest!! :P

Watch your language, set an example for others. "OMFG" stands for aweful words. You should try to live by The Ten Commandments. They're not just ten suggestions, like a lot of us seem to think

Your both very strange people...
Neobix being banned means your no supposed to come back
NinjaSwordsman you shouldnt be preaching religion that doesnt set a good example either

Be careful who you lecture, and what you're lecturing them about. Saying "OMFG" does not brand me a scorner of The Ten Commandments. But that's even beside the point here. You should not be discussing your religion and pushing it on others on a ninja turtles forum.
Go do your bible-thumping elsewhere, please. You don't see me trying to convert you to my religion, do you? I didn't think so, so please don't do it to me, or anyone else on these forums for that matter.
Go to www.google.com and type in "Jesus Forum." I'd wager you'd have more fun there.
I don't have to live by The Ten Commandments if I don't want to. I live in the USA. Freedom of religion, kiddo. Take care!

hmm, I don't think i want well known actors to play the parts of the characters of the TMNT...but i wouldn't exactly be opposed to it eighther. Because some how i could see people who know little of the TMNT showing up to watch the movie just because some actor they worship is going to be in it, and some how that doesn't sit well with me.
The same thing happened with me when I went to go see the X-Men 2 movie, a friend of mine went along because an actor she liked was in it even though she knew nothing about it or the story, and the whole time in the theater she pissed me off because she kept saying "I don't get this. I don't get this. Who is that guy in the wheel chair?" :x aaarrrrggghhhh!! :x
I'm not sure I would want Adam Sandler as Michaelangelo but he probably has the right tempement to pull him off succesfully. Mel Gibson would be a good Leonardo.

Leonardo's voice: Mel Gibson
Michaelangelo's voice: Adam Sandler
Raphael's Voice: Al Pacino
Donatello's Voice: Rick Moranis
That would work if the movie was called Middle-Aged Mutant Ninja Turtles. Pacino, though... that's just so weird that I'd pay 7 bucks to see that. I imagine him screaming "HOOAH!" as he roundhouses a buncha ninjas.
Ryona

Um... Isn't the WHOLE movie going to be CGI?... We'll just have voices for all the characters... not just for the TMNT and Splinter.
I think it's going to look something like the Final Fantasy movie, right?
I imagine him screaming "HOOAH!" as he roundhouses a buncha ninjas.

To quote Jay Sherman, "It stinks!"
My casting is more logical.
Casey: David Boreanaz
April: Jennifer Garner
Shredder (as Saki): Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa
Shredder (in armor): Jet Li
Hamato Yoshi: Chow Yung Fat
Voices of Turtles and Splinter: voice actors from cartoon

LOL, sup KROW good to see you again (even though we were sworn enemies). yeah your ideas for the cast are pretty good too, except for maybe Jennifer Garner. come on dude there's hotter chicks out there for April, you KNOW that!! :P
Hey has anyone seen the movie Kung Fu Hustle yet??
Oh yeah hey what's up Leonardo the Sword Master long time no see bro. how you been doin??? :)

Casey: David Boreanaz
Melikes that suggestion, David could totally pull off Casey Jones! Whether it be movie version or new toon version!
NeoBix
06-08-2005, 07:37 PM
Yeah I have to agree... David Boreanaz would pull off a good Casey, and knowing the kind of characters he usually plays, he would probably love to do that role.

I didn't pick her because she's "hot," I picked her because her age is perfect for the role and she can act.
You should know by now that there's more to life than boobs.

Voices of Turtles and Splinter: voice actors from cartoon
on another forum the voice actor that plays Michaelangelo (I forget his name) stated that he felt a little insulted that they weren't going to use the voice actors from the cartoon to play their caracter in the movie :-?
NeoBix
06-10-2005, 01:19 AM
I'd feel insulted as well, but unfortunately if they're putting the turtles back up on the silver screen for the first time in like 12 years, they're probably going to try and get famous people to do the voices.
I don't know if you've noticed or not, but lately there has been a recurring trend in Hollywood with voice-acting. In the last few years, all of these CGI-animated movies (Shrek, Shrek 2, Ice Age, Monsters INC., Final Fantasy: The Spirits within, Shark Tale, Finding Nemo, and most recently, Madagascar) are starring HUGE Tinsel Town stars as the lead voice actors.
Why, you ask? Because these Hollywood stars basically sell the movie. Looks like they're gonna do the same thing with the TMNT movie. They're gonna try to get the biggest, baddest, most popular stars out there to do the voices, because idiots who don't know anything about ninja turtles will see the movie poster at their local theatre with "WILL SMITH as the voice of Michaelangelo" printed in big bold letters and say "Oh, that has Will Smith in it, so it MUST be one of those really good, funny movies! I'm gonna go see that, and I'll take my whole family to go see it too! That way, I can be a retard and pay money to see something that I will end up not understanding anyway!"
By the way Krow yea thats true she is a good actor but don't u think Jessica Alba would be a better April???
No. Alba's face is too cherubic. She doesn't look mature enough, though she could probably handle the role. I think Garner has the right look for April. She possesses an independent and distinguishing demeanor and she looks more adult.

See now, I wondered if the 'toon VA's would be a bit miffed if they decided not to use them. I always wondered how the old 'toon VA's reacted when they were told that they weren't going to be used in the original movies. I know my nine-year-old brain was a bit confused at first to see four turtles that looked, sounded, and pretty much acted nothing like the green team I was used to.

I really hope they don't pull this for the new film. The whole casting a big name actor/actress as a voice to sell an animated film is bullocks if you ask me. I'm sorry, but just because you have Brad Pitt and Catherine Zeta-Jones *coughSinbadcoughcough* as your leading voices does not make me want to see the movie any more than if you had casted voice actors in the roles. In fact, if I heard the likes of Rob Paulsen, Billy West, Tress MacNeil, etc, etc, were doing voices in a flick, I'd be *more* excited to see it than if Hollywood casted some big names. If my apartment was burning down, I sure wouldn't want just the police to show up - they might be able to do some good, but they sure aren't trained for that kind of situation like a fire fighter is. Leave the voice acting to the voice actors (wow, what a concept, huh?)

Jessica Alba. *twitch* Enough said. I think Jen Garner would be better than Alba.
And, as for the voice actors... True enough, the VA's they have now on the toon are perfect. For their roles. We can pretty much assume that the movie TMNT aren't gonna look exacty like the toon TMNT. So, will the voices then still fit? I'm not so sure... As much as I love them, and how important the voices are to me, I'm not sure...

Your name is not on the ban list, so you weren't banned (and if you were, you wouldn't be able to come back). Where are you getting that from? Maybe you're confusing this with another forum? Anyway, welcome back, I guess.
