does anyone know if the old tmnt show is going to be aired again?
havent seen the old tmnt show since the beggining of 1995, but that was on scandinavian television. i know the show was last aired on tv in 1996.
but after that it has been quiet around it.

Well I remember here in the US the second season was re-aired on one of the encore channels or something like 5 years ago, as for currently nothing, so the first and second season DVD's are the Holy Grail now.

in 2003 i found eight classic tmnt dvds with ca 32 episodes most of them from season 1, and 2. i bought them and i was looking forward to watching it. and after all this years i still loved the old show, but i was disepointed that there wore no special bonus, extra matrials or even a small trailer in it.

maybe its different from the american tmnt dvds i dont know but if it is im going to order them from amazon.com.

Before you do my friend I must tell you the US versions don't have any special features either, so don't waste your money. ;)

thanks, i tought the american version would been better or have at least more stuff, but they did not put any specialitys either.
thats sad.

think of all the funny thing they could put into the dvd as special bonus.

like:

games
bio or fun fact about the charachters in the show.
how they did draw and got their ideas for the new characters in the show.
never before seen movie clips

-Concept Art.
-Commercials/Tv Spots.
-"Turtle Tips".
-Commentary.

But as long as their un-edited episodes. :)

comercials of old toys collection would be nice as special bonus.
and i would like to see some pics of the people who draw and have voices of each charachter in the show.

Like a archived behind the scenes type thing. Yeah that does sound cool.

earlier this month i order the triple dvd collection with all the tmtn movies, and i thought after all this years and now on dvd at last, it should be some extras in it, but no they did not put anything there, just an old trailer.
some biographs and the history of the whole tmnt universe that peter lair and kevin eastman created would be nice, but no they just ignore that.

There was recently an online petition to have a Special Edition, alot of people from here signed it, but I havn't heard anything about it.

well i certeintly hope they will make a speacial edition of the three movies.
but they maybe wait until the new movie coming out. to launch a 4 dvd set with all the movies and special bonus and all.

Thats a really good theory, but untill then, like I always say "Thank goodness for the old toon DVD's".

i agree. but i hope there is more from the old toon to come out on dvd.
cuz in scandinavia theres almost nothing out of the old show but the new tmnt show has alot of dvds out, not as any surprise becouse its new.
but the original show made more than 130 episodes and in 8 dvds they just got 32 of a least 130 good episodes.

So your guy's old toon DVD's are split up with different episodes on each or what, Im allittle confused, because here we have the complete first and second seasons each to their own packedge.

ive got 8 dvds with episodes from both season 1 and 2 but they are missing the best episodes and it seems like here in scandinavia they have no plans for giving out any more of the old tmnt show on dvd.

this dvd collection came out in 2002 and kids planet and family home entertainment is the labels who has putting this dvds out.

Ok, at first I thought you ment they were just picking random episodes and packing them in. :P

Well I hope you can get more, and like wise for us here too.

i think i going to order the to first seasons of the old show at amazon.
here in norway on the dvd collection of the classic tmnt show they dont named " teenage mutant ninja turtles" but teenage mutant hero turtles.
i also rember that the archies that came out here was renamed first ninja turtles then hero turtles. i think the ninja word was to violent or something so they did change it to hero instead. in 1993 there was some big bad publicity about the turtles show in norway after two little boys had throwed a stone on a little girl and she died. the little boys said that they have seen it on tmnt show, and the television channels stopped turtles and replaced it with power rangers and that was just so silly. i was angry for a long time becouse all the violence was all tmnt cartoons fault in the eyes of media.
but after almost a year withouth seeing anything to the tmnt show they
got back on tv with new hero instead of ninja in it.

Yep the same thing happend in the UK with the "Ninja" being raplaced with "hero", I always wondered why as a kid and not until about five or more years ago did I finally find out why.

verminator_x

well with the new tmnt show out in norway, they havent change the ninja into hero. maybe becouse it aint that big tmnt hysteria as it was in the 90s.

Weapon X

Ha...I really don't remember anyone throwing a rock at someone on the old TMNT.

me either i think the media just make it look worse and coming with cheap lies about how bad influence the turtles have on kids back then. but hey we have survived so screw them.

Did you ever see the "European Vacation" episodes? I think I heard they never aired in the US, but I cant remember about other country's.

verminator_x

i think i saw an episode with the turtles in paris and london.
but that was in the same episode i think. it was pretty cool it was back in the middle age and shredder was the black knight that the turtles have to fight to save the princess who offcourse was april.
but thats the only episde i have ever seen with turtles in europe.

Weapon X

A real good place to look for episode guides is Tv.com they have a great Old Toon episode guide, as well as every other show ever made.
