Special, Then I would like to enter in my part of the contribution.
I came up with an idea for a story a while ago, that would bridge the classic series and the new series together, in a one shot, and take place in the classic series universe. April/Don 2003, and Raph/Mike 1989 would have a starring role.
The only thing is, I'd need someone with art talent to draw it. I guess I could have enough limited talent to do some very rough storyboards, but that's as far as my involvement would go. I can picture it all in my mind, but I have a hard time drawing it up. Once I get the script done, I may even think of pitching it to 4Kids to start a spin off special of 'Tales of the Turtles', if my tour of 4Kids studios comes to fruition.
Anyone interested in helping out with a web comic version? I would love it if the art style resembled the work Tony Day is doing with his web comic, but I doubt he has the time to work on another one...

And Leonardo? Where's Leonardo in your story?

This sounds like a wonderful idea. You should PM some of the forums artists ^_^ I would love to read. I cant draw anything without a refrence but I can color as long as the artist outlined their drawing so if need me for that Im here.

Well, since I read what I had written over again, I decided it would work better if all of them where there, so Leonardo and Splinter have a part in it as well..

This sounds interesting. I might get involved... especially seeing that Leo will be in it as well now. :)
I'm able to draw both styles of the series.

I can also draw in both cartoon styles... what level of involvement would this require?
They should have had a 20th anniversary thingy. *sigh*

You can make it for 2007 - 20th anniversary of the old show :)

All I have from the 20th annivesary was a poster they released in a few magazines. It was one of the first public mention of the CGI film in 2007 and congrats on 600 million in merch sold in 2004. It is a pic of a sillohuette of Raph on top of a building.
I would be so on board with a anniversary project. It seems so huge. There would have to be quite a bit of contribution.
I thought about doing a project myself because I know someone who is incredible in city scapes and I can handle quite a bit of dynamic poses and anatomy :)
There are some great artists hanging around these forums. It the time and communication that would have to be very good.

Here's the latest. I'm working on the second half of the script today. This part involves Bebop, Rocksteady, a Plant Mutation Monster and the turtles. The final act involves Krang, Rock and foot Soldiers, and Shredder. I'm also going to have to fit the finale in somewhere.
I'm hoping to keep it down to 30 pages. Each page of script equaling one comic book page. Once the script is done, I'll try my best to work up some storyboards for the artists to follow, but my limited skilsl may prevent that from happening. I'm hoping each artist can do 7- 8 pages each. There's no time limit, so feel free to start out with rough drafts and go on to something more complicated, but I hope to have it done in two months so I can send it off to Dan Burger for review.
If we get REALLY lucky, maby they'll like it enough to publish it as a Tales of the Turtles issue, but that's HIGHLY doubtfull. At the least, we'll just have to settle for fan appreciation ;)..
I'm also going to post the script for reviews. The first few pages may have to be reqorked because once they first enter the 1987 universe, there is some exposition needed. But since it's stuff the diehards already know, I may have to find some way around it...
Well, that's it for now.
I'll post the script when it's ready..

This is what I've got so far. I've got to finish the Bebop and Rocksteady Section this week. The Krang/Shredder and Foot/Rocksoldier section next week, and the Finale as well. I've left in my little scribbles so you'll see how it all ends...
Please ignore any grammar and spelling errors. I havn't spell checked it yet.
Also taking suggestions on the first 4 pages. Any changes needed I'll try to impliment it...

If you're still interested in working on it, LMK and send in some 'final' art peices to show your skill :). I'll choose 3-4 people to work on the final, who will get 7-8 pages each.. Feel free to choose wich scenes you want to work on :).
Thanks!

This is looking interesting so far...the dialogue will probably need a bit of refining, but that can come later.

HEy all,
Still looking for some peices of art to be submitted. Once my new scanner gets here, I'll show you why I wouldn't be good at helming the art side of this project and scan in a peice of scene from the script I drew. I definetly am going to need some help with this one.
The other option I was thinking of, was using my new 3D characters I created and pose them in the scenes, and just get a bunch of very good background artists to complete the setup, but I don't know how well that would merge. Here's a pic of the 3D turtles I just completed with lighting setup.
And, if we can get it done in time for Fall, maby I can take it to 4Kids and hand copies of it out to the staff if my tour of the facility comes to fruition :).
I did get one peice of art submitted on my 'official' site, but while it was great looking for a rough sketch, that wasn't really what I was looking for for a final product.

Updated My April Squared script.
Added a full 7 pages or so, and got up to the middle of the Bebop and Rocksteady section.
Still looking for art submissions :)
Thanks!

It seems as if Ryo is aboard the project now and will hopefully choose the scene they want to work on soon :).
I'm currently, slowly, working on storyboards for the comic. VERY VERY rough drawings of what I would like each turtles pose to be and how I envision the final project to look. I've got 6 pages done so far.. Once my new scanner gets here, I'll scan them in...

Lookin' good so far! I'm leaving at the end of this week for college, but if I'm back online in time, I might be able to offer some artwork. We'll see how that goes...

This is the be st original work I can do, and that was only because I had my 3D image as a guide to help me imagine the pose. And my coloring stinks :). Hence why I need some real artist working on the commic book project, heh.
