Yea...uhh....those new pictures on the official site of the warriro and cambat turtles.....yea...probably the worst I have ever seen. This is getting out of hand. Make some NEW damn figures. How many varitions are there already? Didn't that set the demize for the old toy line....(to many variants)?

On that note, the wind-up ones are really cool! 8)

Yeah, I agree, I think the Combat Cruisers are terrible. Look at Mikey and Raph's outfits, horrible paint and clothes, ugh... unfortunately I'll still get 'em, damn the collector in me! I'm gonna pass on the Combat Warriors though, I don't collect those types (Ninja Action, Mutations, etc.).

I guess we'll be seeing the 3-in-1 vehicle soon aswell. Why do Playmates not release anything for ages and then release it all at once, as if kids could afford all the stuff that's come out in the last month and a half!!

Jesus, Playmates. I understand that you want to make money and it's the turtle figures that sell. I understand that this makes you feel inclined to release dozens upon dozens TMNT variants, no matter how ridiculous. We've all been through this with the old line. It's cool.

But damn it, at least make an effort to release quality products. What kid would buy a figure that looks exactly the same as a figure he already has just because you added some pointless action feature that probably doesn't even work right? At least, at the very least give these variants some new headsculpts. There are currently roughly 27 billion different kinds of TMNT figures in the new line, and so far I've counted a pathetic number of three different headsculpts, all of which are practically the same expression anyway. The old line may have had retarded figures like Clown Turtles, but at least they all had unique sculpts. Either do it right or don't do it at all.

...Not that I actually buy any of the variants, but whatever.

Having said that, the Combat Cruisers or whatever look pretty cool if you ask me, compared to most of TMNT toys coming out anyway.

It's quite simple. As insane as it sounds given that it is still July, stores are gearing up for Christmas. Most of the big chains are getting ready to do their fall resets. For the most part, these will be the same layouts that they will keep through Christmas. So Playmates is just following the schedule set by retailers. By getting product out now, they can claim all of the shelf space allotted to them and perhaps a bit more. They can also be sure to reach market saturation with the new product over the next two months. This way, when October comes around and the X-mas marketing juggernaut really gets rolling the new product will be easy to find.

With luck, they can have complete sell through of the new product and be ready to ship the next wave right at Christmas to be in time for the post holiday resets.

yeah these corny variants are that, CORNY! but hec, I'll be in line buying the Raph stuff...as usual. :D

Gotta look at it this way, they're designed for kids. Not collectors. So there'll be 5,324,735,643 different variants out there  And kid's will want them.

What I would like to see is a line of Figures for the collector in mind. Look at Star Wars toy lines, it has both collector and kiddo in mind! The detail is awesome, now why can't Playmates get that kind of detail on their toys?
I wish they could do a special edition of the guys, looking normal, not in some stupid action pose. They could be articulated like the Marvel Legends(i think that's the toy line, has like 21 points of articulation) and actually be even cooler than the normal line.
Or I'd like to see a special pack of the old movie TMNT. The movie figs from way back, didn't look like them! They were cute but they didnt look like them.

Oh well....

Life goes on.....

Im not big on the "NEW" TMNT, except the comics, but from what I've seen from the figures, they pretty much are dissapointing.

I was looking at the official site and they had some "Weightlifting" series and they all had the same exact head sculpt. :|

Marvel Legends (as well as The Spider-man, X-men, and Hulk Classic Lines) are well detailed figures with upwards of 35 points of articulation...as a comic book nut, I collect both, and TMNT figs with ML articulation would make me wet myself....

Hmmm....

I cannot wait for the Birthday variants to come out, or maybe Giant Troll figures....

The worst ever was either the birthday Turtles, head Droppin, or Those Turtles that squirted water and were from the beach.....horrible...

Bah

Don't diss the old figures, as a kid the birthday turtles were freaking amazing, and so were the squirting ones. The head dropping is the best action feature on a tmnt figure.... ever. The only figures I didn't care for as a kid were the talking turtles, but that's only cuz everyone could get them to talk but me (you had to slide some stuff through their shell or something).

These aren't bad. If you don't like them let the little kids buy them and you can buy Gen, Hamato Yoshi, or whomever else that we should be lucky to see since most toy lines basically screw secondary characters nowadays (besides Star Wars which is like the ultimate opposite).

Don't worry Ecto Im an old school purist, Im just saying that there wasn't any real use for them.

Dont worry they didn't work for me either.

I don't buy any new stuff, I was just saying that from what I've seen and heard they aint worth much.
