All Star Batman and Robin (spoilers a-go-go)

[the Dark Knight]

Has anyone read this book yet? Boy, who could imagine a better team. Frank Miller, the guy who re-invented the Dark Knight with stories like The Dark Knight Returns and Batman:Year One. And Jim Lee, who gave us the most kick ass looking Batman in years with his artwork on the storyarc Hush.

The difference of this book and the Ultimate titles, I THINK, is that it won't be a re-interpretation of origins of characters and stories, but will be completely new stories with the iconic characters we know and will be faithful to origins and whatever.

It starts the series off real well with the death of Dick Grayson's parents, and this issue ends with Batman retrieving him from the crooked cops and telling him "You've just been drafted."

I thaught this issue was great. It was Batman as written by Frank Miller, and it was, it's not a spoiler, Vicki Vale in underwear as drawn by Jim Lee! :D ::boiiiinnnggg::

I'll give it a little mroe time before I make a final judgement, as 1 issue usually isn't a great exampleof how well a series will be.

So far it isn't so bad, though. The art's good and the writing is typical Miller. I'm all for the female anatomy but a little too much Vicki Vale fanservice, to be honest. And she seemed bitchier than usual; more like Catwoman.

I liked the alteration on Dick's origin as well as his encounter with Batman. He's in for a Hell of a training.

I thought it was good, cant wait to see how this will turn out.
