View Full Version : The Turtles Bandanna Colors

Sage Ninja

When the TMNT was turned over into a cartoon in 1987 the animators decided to give the turtles mutli colored bandanna's instead of them having all red like they where in the mirage comics.

I find this interesting because they gave the turtles colored bandanna's that kind of fit their personallity.

Like Leonardo was given a blue for his banndana and wrist and knee pads, and I feel it suits his serious dicipligned, and responciable personality.

Raphael red because of his sarcastic nature and razor sharp personallty :tcool: :tgrin:

Donatello purple because...well he's Donatello and he's unconvetional. :tsurpris: :tidea:

Michalegelo orange because well its a brite flamboyant color that sticks out. :tgrin:

How do you think the turtles colors fit their personallties? :trazz: :tpizza:

Discuss :tgrin:

I'm fairly certain there's a reasoning behind why each turtle has what colour, but damned if I'mma take a stab at it. Primarily because the emotions and attributes assigned to each colour seem pretty arbitrary and vary from culture to culture.

In China, red means good luck whereas in modern western culture it has a far darker, more violent and sultry meaning behind it. Red is the colour of blood. Its also the colour of a harlot's lipstick, etc.

Westerners tend to view purple as a royal, distinguished and sorrowful color, but recently there's the association with gay, lesbians and transsexuals. To many Christians, its a colour that inspires thoughts of spirituality and religion. The list goes on.

And seeing as I'm a cultureless nomad, I don't know what to make of it. I just smile, nod, and know that I like red a lot. And I don't know why.

ya there was a thread about this a LOOOOOONG time ago on here lol... but I'll indulge you:

Raphael: Red because he's bloodthirsty, evil, psychotic, and a berzerker fighter.

Leonardo: Blue because he stands for justice, honor, truth, peace, and strength.

Donatello: Purple because purple is the color of royalty, and Donatello is the most intelligent and most educated turtle out of all 4 of them. Many centuries ago, kings, queens, princesses, and princes and basically all other royalty were the only ones who were truly educated, because they had the money to afford it, and they often wore the color purple (purple gowns, cloaks, scarfs, etc.) to distinguish themselves and their dignity from the commonfolk. Thus, purple became the color of royalty. Also, the alcoholic beverage, Crown Royal, has those velvety purple bags. :P

Some people would argue that Donatello wears purple because he is the only homosexual ninja turtle, but I personally don't think that Donatello is gay. But like Sage Ninja said, he is purple because he is unconventional, so he might at least be bisexual, but maybe not full-blown gay.

Michaelaneglo: Orange because he is wild and crazy and THE PARTY DUDE in the gang! Orange is a lively, vibrant color, and it represents Mikey's attitude and his surfer-boy mentality. 8)

D'you think Mikey's orange bandana could easily be interchangable with yellow? They're both bright, cheerful colors...I don't see any particular reason why orange might've been chosen. Maybe 'cause April was already dressed in yellow?

It's weird imagining him in a yellow bandana though. o_O

I doubt there was any specific reason behind it. They probably just picked some colors that looked good.

Mikey's bandana was yellow in the first 5 eps of the original series....

Red is the color of passion, Raph is passionate and I don't mean that sexually..he's passionate about everything, highly emotional, angry...Red fits him well.

Blue for Leo's leadership.
Purple is royaly, blue is as well. Purple is cool and calm Like Don.
Orange is bright and obnoxious like Mike

I think they only picked out the typical best liked colors: red, blue, yellow and green, but their skin is already green so they made it to a purple :D

It's my guess that they gave them different ones so kids could tell them apart more easily, plus they probably thought little kids wouldn't enjoy it as much with them all being the same color.

As for a reason for what color went to what turtle has been pretty much justified, the reasons stated make sence.

I agree with Mecha and X. There really was no profound meaning behind the colors, but rather a way to tell them apart and still find hues that look good with green.

I agree. Even though we are a team, we are still individuals, and our colors represent our personalities.

I like white because it is the base of ALL colors, as black is the end. I think it suits me perfectly. I mean, a white T-shirt can adapt to anything, right? :P

My brother Raphael chooses red not only because of his anger and passion, but because it's his favorite color. And who could argue with that?

Donatello picked purple because as the intelligent one, he has to make a statement. Purple is considered royalty. And when it comes to brains, Don is the King. Don King!

Ahh, Michelangelo and the color orange. A wild color, indeed, and a happy color as well. Who is more happy and wild as old Mikey? That is the PERFECT representation for him. Yes, it was yellow in the first season of the cartoon, but he did it as a practical joke. TVs were not as advanced as they are now.

Leonardo. The color blue. Blue is a serious color, and Leo is very dedicated to this commitment of Bushido. Originally, I wanted blue, but Leo told me about what it means. I gave it a lot of thought, and decided to let him have it. It really gives him more authority over us, and that's the way it should be. I mean, can you picture Raph wearing a blue bandana? It'd have stains all over it!

So there it is:

Leonardo = Serious Blue.

Michelangelo = Wild Orange.

Donatello = Royal Purple.

Raphael = Fire Red.

And me = Basic White.

Put us together, you have a butt-kicking ninja RAINBOW!

Not right. You are the base of ALL turtles?

XERO
07-29-2005, 04:10 PM
No, I'm not. I was just explaining that personality-wise. I think of myself as being able to adapt to any situation and anybody, whether it's the nicest person in the world or the ruthless killer in the Foot Clan. It doesn't matter to me.

And I meant that white is a color that can go with anything and still make a good match. I'm not really sure if it is the base of ALL colors, but I do know as a scientific fact, that if you took a clear prism and shined a light through it, the end of the prism produces many colors.

I watched the Magic School Bus...

What do you mean?!

XERO
07-29-2005, 04:42 PM
That, and I have better control of my fear.

I mean, I'm still afraid of a lot of things. But here's the tricky part: I am not afraid to admit it.

It's tough to put pressure on me. It's even more difficult for you to tick me off, because I can quickly turn it around back to you.

I basically have no weakness. I mean, I can still get my shell kicked, but if I were to perish, tomorrow, I know I lived my life to the fullest. Because I am at peace with myself and with my destiny. Nothing you do can hurt me or my family. I'd die for them in a heartbeat, with a smile on my face. No matter the circumstances.

That's what the color means to me. Not just adaption, but acceptance.

BTW, L2. Your color is the same as Leo's, since you are his female clone. :D But don't stop there. Develop your OWN personality. That is what the black tips are for. You are still trying to find your true self.

Exactly. I agree too.

Now, putting that aside, it's time to have some fun analysing this. :D

Blue fits Leo like a glove. Blue represents spirituality, everlasting, strength, enlightment, and boundlessness.
Leo is the sky and the never ending space.

Purple suits Donnie very well. Purple represents creativity, imagination, and dreams.
Donnie is the subconscious of the universe.

Red works well with Raph. Red represents passion, mortality, and pain.
Raph is the essence of mortal life.

Orange reflects Mikey nicely. Orange represents dynamic energy, warmth, and happiness.
Mikey is the bright, shining sun that gives light to the world.

Leonardo- Water: Water is easily adaptable and can range from a calm pool to a raging tsunami. Water is also clear, like a true ninja's mind must be. In the sense of a river, it is also straightforward with a clear goal in mind, letting nothing stop it.
Raphael- Wildfire: Angry and uncontrollable, wildfire cannot be contained. It burns through all that dare oppose it, and is a force to be reckoned with. Wildfire and water balance each other out, however. which is probably why 4kids teams Leo and Raph up so much.
Donatello- The mountain: peaceful and serene. The mountain is also associated with wisdom, as the multiple fables of a wise hermit who lives atop the mountain tell. The mountain also stands firm in the face of danger.
Michelangelo- The sunshine: Vibrant and joyful. Loving and energetic (as the orange sun is seen as the day begins) however... too much sun can cause irritation under the skin :P

I don't think the color choice was random. I don't think they had to put much thought into it either though! ;) Cultural color associations are fairly strong. Raph is the firey one... what color do you think of? Red!! Leo is the honorable one....what color? Blue!! Don is the smart one... purple-royalty/wisdom... what's left? Green won't work on green, black is too dark, Ben is the peaceful one so white ;p, what colors are left? YELLOW/ORANGE! Hey, it's bright so it fits Mikey.

Hmm..interesting discussion...

See, Im in the group that thinks that the colors were basically randomly picked, just nice, pretty colors that kids could easily identify with..

To say that Raph is the firey one so thats why he is red, or Don is loyal or royal and that is why is purple, etc. etc. is kinda looking at it after the fact...I mean, we are all basing these assumptions after being TMNT fans for years and years and immediately associating these colors with their attitudes, feelings, etc....

When the cartoon first came out in '87 and their colors were given (not in the later movie like somone said), the TMNT had only been out for few years with only a relatively few number of books out..sure their characters were already beening realized in the comics but when the cartoon took the reins we all know that is was based off of pretty much nothing in the comics...besides the names, a few characters, some ideas and backgournds, everything else was made from scratch... (ok, all this sounds alot better in my head... :) )

Bottom line, I think that the colors could be switched amongst turtles and equal arguments could be found to justify them....Orange could easily be Raphs colors as it too can be seen as firey since reds and oranges can be considered "hot" colors; Blue could be Donnies, as it also shows loyality and intelligence; Red is a stong color and could easily be Leos; and lastly Purple could be Mikeys as it can be seen as a laid back color, with touch of mystery and fun..and this is just ONE example of switching colors around...im sure if we reallly thought about it, we could probably justify each color on every turtle...

Again, i know this all sounds crazy since we are used to what we've been seeing for the last 20 yrs or so...but its just a thought (if a not very well written or communicated one... :)..

Guys, we are all adults here on these boards to have FUN and discuss a passion that we all share, to some extant or another: the Turtles...when it gets to "battles" amongst ourselves, I think that the whole point is inevitably lost...if you truly have a problem with someone, or someones thoughts/feelings/opinons, and feel the NEED to express them, by all means do so- but by IMing them, emailing them, calling them, etc...please do not fill a number of different threads with jabs, threats, and insults...if anything, just think about everyone else...one nasty comment can utterly ruin a thread and turn people off to coming back...think about he Moderators who have to decide how to handle things..think about other people, who may be holding back nasty comments, but seeing that such heated arguments can take place without reprucussion, may beign to do so...

Sorry, if this is coming out as a lecture, because adult to adult(s), I am in NO postion to do so...please just take this as my opinion and nothing more... thanks

Finding symbols or references to other pieces always cheers me up. Every artist is influenced by a certain set of symbols and archetypes, they always tend to show up in his/her works, sometimes even unintentionally.

Of course the most interesting artists use this set of cultural association consciously, they construct a skeleton of motives and coat it with the flesh of description or graphic and the blood of plot or context.

Remember "alpha male" doesn't always have to be an officially appointed leader, but he could be, thanks to his charisma, "the actual leader" - the one who's able to convince other members of the team and who's not afraid of contesting the official one's commands and orders. ;)

Oh my goodness I never thought of it like that :ohwell: and your right, I guess you could switch the colors around and you could find reflections of the turtles personalities in each color that they wear.

Now that i think about it I think I could picture Raphael the sarcastic and cynical turtle in orange and Leonardo the strong fearless leader in red. :D However given the fact that purple is a royal color and a color that is associated with rulers, I think I could easily see Leonardo the leader in purple as well instead of blue because he is really very noble and honorable and purple just seems to permeat that.

And seeing as how allot of the brainy and geeky characters in so many cartoons wear blue, than I guess I could see Donatello in that color too.

The other colors for the turtles I agree with too. But instead of the standard colors that the TMNT wear, could you see them in other colors other than blue, orange, red, and purple?

I think I could se the turtles given their personalities in these colors

Leonardo: white, black, grey, hunter green, silver

Donatello: brown, maroon, biege, indiago

Raphael: Black, navy blue, rust, some matalic color

Michaelngelo : gold, silver, white, aqua, or torques (some other flashy color)

And when exactly was Michaelngelo ever in yellow :-? I thought he was always in orange. I have season one on vhs and two on dvd and in both he looks like he is wearing orange. Unless of course the vhs version isn't as good color wise as the dvd or something. Because in my dvd version of the TMNT in season two the colors look much brighter and more vivid. So maybe he is infact wearing yellow in season one and the vhs coloring just sucks or something.

But I would rather him be in orange than yellow, because I some how feel orange is a bit more masculine than sunny yellow ;)

True.

Oh, hey. What about the Power Rangers? Every single leader on their teams were either the Red Ranger, the Gold Ranger, or the White Ranger. The Blue Ranger was never the leader. Explain that one.

Couple reasons.... the blue=leader connection doesn't necessarily mean that every, single, leader-character ever created will have that correlation....just that a decent amount of them do. It also depends on what culture you're coming from, like in some cultures white is related to purity while in other cultures white is related to death.... OR dependence on the context, like red in battle can mean brave/gore-death but on Valentine's Day....

Also...Power Rangers isn't natively American so it's not going to use the same cultural color references-- although....most of those examples were Japanese!

Makes me wonder if, because of Splinter's origin, some of the cultural stuff was taken from Japan.

There are definitely other possibilities with the TMNT colors....and I understand what you're saying tmntterminator, that we end up associating these colors with the personalities because that's what we grew up with. But I still think that there was some thought that went into them...maybe not a LOT of thought ;p but there are still those classic cultural connections that come up not just in cartoons, but in artwork, psycology, religion....

"Leonardo: white, black, grey, hunter green, silver
Donatello: brown, maroon, biege, indiago
Raphael: Black, navy blue, rust, some matalic color
Michaelngelo : gold, silver, white, aqua, or torques (some other flashy color)"

No WAY can I see Leo as black! Nor grey, nor green.... white is possible. Silver....well, silver would come out as grey...

Donny...I can see no reason to not be maroon or brown, but no reason *to* be those colors either.... indigo, sure...but if Leo's already blue then probably not.

Raph...black I could see working, though they might've thought that'd be too 'dark' for kids, navy blue naahh...too conventional soldier-ish, brown eww I hope not!

Mikey-gold would be wayyy too fancy for him, he's too relaxed for that, silver/white...too 'clean'...aqua maybe...makes me think of playing around in water ;) turqoise maybe as long as its not too dark. I could definitely see him as yellow though.

Well, Shredder is definitely more in charge in the new show (hence this blue :P) than he used to be in the old one. But what could that purple cape symbolize? Purple is the colour of priests, does it mean Shredder is the high priest of Technodrome religion?

Again, while its just my opinion, I still don't think it goes even that deep. When the creators for the cartoon first got together to hatch this crazy idea of bringing a gritty, black and white INDEPENDENT comic to Saturday morning tv, they new there had to be changes. Lots of them. For one thing, all their bandanas are the same. How the heck are kids gonna figure who's who? So this is how it went in the boardroom...

Boss: "So, what are we gonna do about all this Red business? Oh and Hank, go get me a coffee..."
<Hank shuffles out of the room>
Creative Team: "Well, lets give them colors, different colors, colors that they could remember and colors that they like...."
Boss: "hmmm...good idea Earl...well, let's start with the rainbow..lets see..there's Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet..."
Team: "ok Greens out cuz thats their skin color....yellow is kinda bright and since we wanna make that scientist assistant April a TV reporter in the cartoon with a bright yellow jumpsuit, we've got to scratch Yellow too..."
Boss: "Good point Rufio...Well that leaves us with Red, Orange, Blue, Indigo, Violet...umm...who likes Indigo here, raise your hand?"
<no hands raise>
Boss:"Well ok then! The turtles will be Red, Orange, Blue and Violet!!"
Team: "uh..excuse me sir, but violet doesn't sound very superheroeish"
Boss: "hmm, your right Ted...ok I've got it! We'll use purple! It's basically the same thing!"
Team: "you're a genius sir"

And thus was born the colors of the bandanas...we can lock this thread now.. :P

I went with those colors because they are darker and less flamboyant than taditional blue, purple, red, and orange that turtles wear. I thought given the action and seriousness of the series that darker colors would have worked in place of the taditanal colors that they wore. But really I had a time coming up with those, there are only so many colors out there with out getting into favcy named colors that are really just cousins to the orginal colors.

And I beg to differ about Leonardo not being able to pull off wearing Black. Black is a serious no nonsence color that i feel would work well with the fearless leader of the TMNT. And so would green, just look at Masked Ninja's avator of the turtle with the green mask, it looks fine.

And yeah maybe gold is a little much for Michaelngelo, but I think silver would still look good on him.

Tha't true. Red is as common as blue in this context. Could be the colour of "beta male" aspiring to be "alpha". And the other way round - blue could be worn by "beta".. Yeah, Raph's red and he's craving for the leadership. :|

No WAY can I see Leo as black!

I disagree.

Black is a solid yet vacuuess color. Dark, shadowy, stealthy, unperceivable, deep, soulless, emotionless, and associated with the night.
These are all characteristics of the true ninja. Leonardo being the great and idealistic ninja that he is, black would work beautifuly for him.

Leonardo Mystic
08-07-2005, 09:41 AM
Though I half agree with some of the traits, I can never see Leo with black.

He may be stoic, in the way he doesn't outwardly express, but it doesn't mean he's completely emotionless. And no way is he soulless. He has a kind and good heart, and it's frequently shown in what he does. Black also associates with death, and Leo only kills his enemy as a last resort.

Blue represents his personality best more as a person than as a ninja, and I like that. I like both yours, Ryona, and Midnight Tanuki's interpertations best, and together it's perfect.

Ryona
08-07-2005, 10:03 AM
Well, obviously Leo isn't Soulless or emotionless. Like I said, those are characteristics of the Ideal ninja which Leo happenss to be.

As a person, Leo is a strong yet kind soul. Intuned with nature and the simplicity of life.

But, as a fighter, Leo can be all those things I dicribed for the color black.

I'm certainly going by the Mirage Leo since that is the best Leo to use.
Leo in the Mirage comics is a deadly and cold son of a bitch. He certainly doesn't restrain himself from killing since it's awfuly difficult to do so in the heat of battle when you're fighting with extremely leathal weapons, and he dosen't bother or see the point to suppress his abilities when fighting enemies.

He's done the most killing in the group (no duh when you fight with swords) and he demanded the Shredder to commit suicide against his will. I know it was a whole honor thing, but that's just cold.

Zelda

I think silver would be way too pure/noble for Mikey.

Black is serious yes, but it's usually more associated with evil/death/cruelty *especially* in stuff for kids.
Although, I CAN see some of the different colors working for the new series moreso than the old series, and the same with the comic--for instance, Leo with a black bandana in the comics? I can see that as possible.

Boss:"Well ok then! The turtles will be Red, Orange, Blue and Violet!!" <- Probably, but then how to distribute the colors once you get that far? I don't even think it's something deep at all, I don't think they were like 'oh man, okay what is the cultural color association of caribean blue and what underlying turtle traits does it connect with?' NO WAY! ;p They more likely just said 'okay we narrowed it down...now... Raph is the hothead, what's a hothead color? Oh, red. Mikey's the crazy one, which is the lighthearted color...well the lightest one is orange. Okay so we have blue and purple... for a leader and a scientist....okay.'

It's not that it's even all that complex a process, if you were given these personalities of turtles to attach a color too, wouldn't you make the same or similar associations or at least a few of them? (I know I'd put Raph as red and Leo as blue, Mikey I would've made yellow, Donny would have gotten the leftover color ;p )

And if the writers/artists/board members/whoever decided were english majors, they'd have had these associations INGRAINED in them XDDD hell, I remember having to pull out colors throughout high school and middle school english classes alone. I mean... The Scarlet Letter.... ;p The Pearl can't get much more obvious.

Although I think at least half of literature associations are overanalyzation BS....I mean, if it says in a poem "blood red" it's cause blood is RED IN COLOR. THE END. >_>;

Couldn't that be said about all the turtles personallties in the Mirage comics when it comes to battle? Each turtle has their own distinct personality when they are just being them selves, but they are all deadly serious "have no mercy" fighters when they in battle, like the proper ninjas they are supposed to be, right? Because they are ninjas none of the turtles have any qualms about killing in the heat of battle.

And also I thought Raphael was the one who has killed the most in the group; A few of the synopis on the official sight that I have read, show alot of instances when Raphael killed an enemy and Leonardo gets all pissed off at him..

*nods* Yes, you are right about all the TMNT being dark warriors who will kill without a thought in the heat of battle. I was just making a point that Leo is especially very dark and the most desensitized of the TMNT because of his responsabilities in the group and the damage he inflicts on his opponents.

Oh, and I'm not one hundred percent sure if Leo has done the most killing, but I do own many of the Mirage TMNT comics and I do remember Leo taking out the most foes. I can only remember about two times when Leo got pissed at Raph for killing someone, but I believe it was because the people Raph killed where important and needed... or something like that.

I rather like the thought of all the TMNT being dark warriors that are deadly serious about battle. Because it is such a contrast to how they are portrayed in most mediums (even I'm afraid in the new toon as well).

In most mediums they are so darn honerable and inhibitated that they never take a life unless they absolutly have too. I guess they are not that way in the comics from what I have seen. God forbid should you cross or dishonor them in the comics universe, because you'll get hacked to pieces:o.

1. Raph torturing a terrorist in the river until Splinter scolded him.

Mike probably killed a few Shredder Elite during City at War, but for the most part, as Splinter said in the recent Tales where Klunk dies, Mike's emotions and empathy prevent him from meeting his enemies with the same ferocity they show towards him.

Mikey WILL kill when he needs to. And believe me, there are plenty of times when Mikey needed to.

Yes, he doesn't really have the heart to take lives, but he is a warrior and he'll do whatever he has to do to survive.

Donnie is some what against violence because it's barbaric and unethical, but he'll certainly deliver men to the Devil if he has to. Hell, Donnie killed a helpless Baxter Stockman because he mocked Donnie and his brothers.

Raph gets pretty nutty in combat, so he'll kill without a second thought, though he seems to have a great amount of empathy deep inside his hard shell so he probably goes through times of regret which just adds to his depressions.

Leo's a pretty hard and dead serious person and has alot of weight on his shoulders. He'll readily mass murder several opponents to keep them from being a threat to him and his brothers. Where as his brothers carry weapons of self-defense, Leo carries weapons of death. The morbid and disturbing damage that his weapons cause on people make Leo one very hard and scary person who has absolutly no remorse.

But the TMNT don't commit murder in the comic universe. They kill and take lives only in the heat of battle, but none of the TMNT have ever murdered some one in cold blood before, right? When they do kill its becuae they are fighting. The way you kind of made it out made it seem that what tLeonardo and the others are doing is commiting murder. But when the TMNT fight and kill it is somthing different because it is in the heat of the moment, and muder is supoosed to be premeditated; isn't that how it goes? So the turtles don't murder people they are just killing in the heat of battle. I mean have any of the turtles ever killed with out just cause or provoktion?

Could you do that actually? That would be so awsome if you did. I don't like the thought of Michaelngelo being the hippi of the group :(

or if you could pm me some :)

Well, I never meant Mikey never kicked any ass-- and I definitely do remember those two fights, not to mention a few where his arm was injured from after that first fight you have up there where he kicked plenty of ass. I mean, the guy's my favorite turtle, I keep an eye out for his ass-kicking exploits.

But yeah, as far as gratuitous, gut-wrenching violence goes, I can't pin him to any. Like I said, I'm sure there was some during that final battle in City at War (maybe he was the one who impaled a Shredder Elite on a lamp?), and his nunchakus, at least according to the back of the box for the original toy, generate 7 times the amount of force needed to break bone, but Mike is less inclined than the others to take another's life, especially if his behavior towards the skanky alley cat in the Tales with Klunk's death is any evidence.

And the thing about the major, major violence again is Peter was never a big fan of it. Kevin may have liked gore a little more, but I can remember Peter stating his disdain for it, and that being the reason that the majority of the gory violence takes place off-panel.

Umm, he was never yellow, where was this said? :|

In the Turtle tracks Mikey's bandanna was yellow. I prefer their bandanna color now then the comic.

Thats a very good point, because that has been the case a couple times, most notable is that "Christmas Special", video, his mask is super dark.

Holy crap those where cool Weapon thank you. Question in that pic with Mike battling the tricertron, was that during the final battle of the whole outer space Proffsor Honney Cutt arc? was that when they where first captured by the Tricertrons and Mikchaelngelo [icked a fight with one of them, and the gaurds commented on his "spunk".

Also I would love to see more scan s like that :D

I think it's because, when you think about it, Mikey's the closest to being human. Between him and his brothers, he's the one who wishes the most to have the life of a normal teenager. Leo's too dedicated to ninjitsu to have a 'normal' life, while Don would rather spend all his time in the lab. I'd say Raph would be a close second.

thats weird I guess that kind of makes him the black sheep or the odd turtle if you think about it. Maybe that is why he is more perceptiable to falling for females and always trying to find some sort of contact.

That is kind of an interesting statment. Because the human race as a whole is a pretty merdurous bunch or living creatures, and yet it seems that Mike is the most like them but shows the most amount of reluctance to kill out of the TMNT. Weird :|

And on a side note, just look at how freaken' big Michaelangelo's hands are! They almost dawarf his nunchucks. And nunchucks are a rather long weapon too. Makes you wonder just how he is even able to use them :ohwell:

The human race as a whole may be a murderous bunch of creatures, but how many people do you know who are ready and willing to kill. Most of the people I know are probably more reluctant to kill than Mikey.
