View Full Version : The Peace Thread

I figured I'd do a little thread where people can make peace with their 'enemies' in a professional and provocative way.

Why?

I don't know. Maybe because I'm SICK of all the fighting that's been happening lately. If this keeps up, we'll be back at the GD, for sure... :(

I want you guys to cool off and try to reason here. No fighting, no arguing, no spamming. And DEFINITELY no flaming. Just talk and work things out. Whatever your beef is with somebody else, put it here and lay it to rest.

I know that certain people will always hate each other, but you do have to respect each other.

This is for EVERYBODY, so take advantage of it. Don't take it for granted.

Just keep it clean. The world is watching us, you know...

Your intentions are noble, Ben and appreciate your idea, but... is it really necessary to sort questionable matters publiccly? I don't think so - I believe in PMs.
Nevertheless, you point out some important issue simply by starting this thread and I believe your cry for peace on board will be heard by those who ought to calm down.

OK, I'm off to the cinema. BBL. I'm curious what other reactions may be.

Just talk and work things out...
You know, that's what I've been trying to do. Some people are just too stubborn, whether intentionally not unintentionally, to know the difference.

Besides Stryker and myself going at each other yesterday, I don't see any fighting. I'm usually always in a fight though, so it doesn't mean anything.

Anyways, this thread of yours is commendable, but I have a feeling most people won't want to make things public and if they do, it'll probably just end up causing trouble.

Why not? It always comes down to the public eye anyway. PMs seem rather useless.

Not always. It's also against the rules to bring arguments out into the open.

You're right about that.

I think the only way this problem is going to be solved is we have a bit more strict rules...or maybe we just come down harder on thoes that want to make trouble.

Or the some of us that have that "Fighting spirit" could maybe think about things before we post them?

It's not too much to ask...and it's not to difficult to do...if you have a conscience that is.

Think...everyone here is human...they have feelings and thoughts that deserve respect just as much as your own.

It's also against the rules to abuse your authority.

And this is not an arguement. It's a plea.

I just want this senseless fighting to stop.

Not to be pessimistic, but making a thread for the sole purpose and having people make up with each other won't do anything. Besides, we've tried this before. Remember that thread back on the temporary GD where we complimented each other? Didn't do a thing. Fighting has been a part of the GD since the original Drome went down. Oh well.

Someone in fighting mood will simply ignore this thread. Or continue to flame here.

Maybe PMs sent by the neutral members could work?

No way that could work. Sorry, but we had others jumping in and defending their friends before. It didn't turn out very well...

Damn. Sounds reasonable. But the others could defend their friends in this thread as well - thus, conflicts are escalated in public. So... erhm... just leave it as it is?

Let's settle this!

This isn't a joke, raphael_is_cool. This is serious.

So unless you got a problem with somebody, please keep the wisecracks to yourself.

Wow. I'm abusing my power now? Is that what you're getting at?

Well how about this. F*ck you, pal. Burn in Hell.

Out. ;)
