I'm going to have my intermediate exam at university in September so I have to read about 30 something books until then (English and German literature as well as nonfiction). Unfortunately I've got some problems with two of these freaking books (Milton's "Paradise Lost" and Joseph Conrad's "Lord Jim"): I HATE THEM! So I just skipped most of the pages and tried to figure out the basic plot but I'm afraid that won't be enough. Does anyone know where I can get in-depth summaries of those books online?

What I did when I was supposed to read "Die Leiden des jungen Werther" (which was a terrible idea to begin with) I just googled "[Title] interpretation" and that worked quite fine.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paradise_lost - not sure if it's in-depth enough but summarizes the plot quite well. Unfortunately, there's no such thing for "Lord Jim" here. :|

They're both incredibly indepth and I bet cover any content that would be on your exam.

Beat me to it. I haven't read a book for school in almost three years. I use spark notes for everything, and they work great.
