I can't wait for the seventh book to come out!
I found this while searching for info:

Harry Potter: Book Seven
Book Seven of the Harry Potter (http://www.answers.com/main/ntquery;jsessionid=j912q765ek0r?method=4&dsid=2222&dekey=Harry+Potter&gwp=8&curtab=2222_1&sbid=lc01a) series (as yet no title announced) will be the last of the Harry Potter series, and possibly the longest, (as Order of the Phoenix (http://www.answers.com/main/ntquery;jsessionid=j912q765ek0r?method=4&dsid=2222&dekey=Harry+Potter+and+the+Order+of+the+Phoenix&gwp=8&curtab=2222_1&sbid=lc01a) is currently supposed to be the longest), although the author, J. K. Rowling (http://www.answers.com/main/ntquery;jsessionid=j912q765ek0r?method=4&dsid=2222&dekey=J.+K.+Rowling&gwp=8&curtab=2222_1&sbid=lc01a), has reportedly considered writing other books.

Spoiler warning (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Spoiler_warning): Plot or ending details follow.

Facts

Rowling has revealed that she has already written the last chapter of this book, although she admitted she would probably have to change some of it. Information was provided about this on the show "Imagination : J. K. Rowling : Harry Potter and me" on BBC WORLD.
Rowling once stated in an older magazine article that the last word in this book will be "scar."
Rowling has stated that this book is almost like Part 2 of the sixth book, Half-Blood Prince (http://www.answers.com/main/ntquery;jsessionid=j912q765ek0r?method=4&dsid=2222&dekey=Harry+Potter+and+the+Half-Blood+Prince&gwp=8&curtab=2222_1&sbid=lc01a), so may provide a direct continuation of the plot of that book.
Lupin (http://www.answers.com/main/ntquery;jsessionid=j912q765ek0r?method=4&dsid=2222&dekey=Remus+Lupin&gwp=8&curtab=2222_1&sbid=lc01a) will play a big part in this book, as will Lily (http://www.answers.com/main/ntquery;jsessionid=j912q765ek0r?method=4&dsid=2222&dekey=James+and+Lily+Potter&gwp=8&curtab=2222_1&sbid=lc01a)'s back-story.
Harry, Ron, and Hermione will be in their seventh and final year at Hogwarts (http://www.answers.com/main/ntquery;jsessionid=j912q765ek0r?method=4&dsid=2222&dekey=Hogwarts&gwp=8&curtab=2222_1&sbid=lc01a), and will presumably be sitting their NEWT examinations at the end of the year.
A new Head Boy and Head Girl will be chosen from their year.
There will be a new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher.
Harry will "come of age" in the book (age 17) and will become an adult in the wizarding world. (Hermione will have turned 17 near the beginning, and Ron near the end, of the previous book.)

Rumours

Rowling has denied two rumoured titles: Harry Potter and the Fortress of Shadows and Harry Potter and the Forest of Shadows. There are also rumours that Voldemort kills Harry but dies also, as they share blood.
Sibyll Trelawney (http://www.answers.com/main/ntquery;jsessionid=j912q765ek0r?method=4&dsid=2222&dekey=Sibyll+Trelawney&gwp=8&curtab=2222_1&sbid=lc01a) prophesied that "neither can live while the other survives", so it seems to be fairly certain that either Harry Potter (http://www.answers.com/main/ntquery;jsessionid=j912q765ek0r?method=4&dsid=2222&dekey=Harry+Potter+%28character%29&gwp=8&curtab=2222_1&sbid=lc01a) or Lord Voldemort (http://www.answers.com/main/ntquery;jsessionid=j912q765ek0r?method=4&dsid=2222&dekey=Lord+Voldemort&gwp=8&curtab=2222_1&sbid=lc01a) will die in this book. However, Rowling has said on her website that "myself and Madame Trelawney worded the prophecy very carefully", so the outcome is only speculation at the moment. Also, it is possible that the prophecy relates to Neville Longbottom (http://www.answers.com/main/ntquery;jsessionid=j912q765ek0r?method=4&dsid=2222&dekey=Neville+Longbottom&gwp=8&curtab=2222_1&sbid=lc01a), not Harry.
Rowling has said that Harry will survive until this book, but refused to say whether he dies in or shortly after it.
The title Harry Potter and the Quest of the Centaur has been rumored, but only rumored and very unlikely (such rumours are usually far from the actual truth).
Though this rumour has not been reported anywhere, it is considered quite possible that Severus Snape (http://www.answers.com/main/ntquery;jsessionid=j912q765ek0r?method=4&dsid=2222&dekey=Severus+Snape&gwp=8&curtab=2222_1&sbid=lc01a) will be teaching the Defence Against the Dark Arts class in this book.

Half-Blood Prince spoilers:

I doubt Snape will be returning as a teacher at Hogwarts, since well, he killed the headmaster; I don't think they'd take him back. :P Plus, the position of Defense o/t Dark Arts teacher was cursed by Voldemort, so that no-one could teach it for more than one year.

Anyway, I can't wait for this book. Too bad we'll have to wait so damn long. >_<

If this book doesn't have at least 900 pages, I'll be royally pissed.

I think I once read in an interview with Rowling that she said the seventh book would be shorter than the last two.

Don't quote me on that though.

I think another main character apart from Harry or Voldemort will die such as Ron or Malfoy or something :-?

I didn't read any of this thread, since I don't want anything revealed, but I would just like to thank Hannah for the spoiler warning. I stopped when I saw it.

Yea I know....i was just hoping thats all...hopeing maybe she'd change her mind or get offered an ungodly amount of money to keep going...I mean, the series doesnt have to end, unless she wants it to, which i know she said she doea...but I can still hope...

I just read Half-Blood Prince in 2 flat sittings. I may have been reeling from what transpired towards the end if A) some duechebags in World Of Warcraft hadn't been running around yelling out what happened, and B) If it wasn't totally predictable anyways. That's not to say I didn't enjoy it, I love the series immensily, and while I'll be sad to see it end, it'll be very interesting to see it wrap up.

Another thing, are the spoilers at the top for Half Blood Prince, or Book 7? Like, is it safe to look if I don't want anything ELSE spoiled?
