View Full Version : New SWAT Assult pack: Playmates sets a record

I stopped by Toys R Us today and found a new S.W.A.T. Assualt pack. This one comes with a repainted Casey Jones, Michelangelo and Turtlebot for figures and the Sewer Lid Launcher and the plane from the upcoming Shell Striker- Strata Slicer. It is impressive when they manage to get the repaint of the vehicle on the market before the original.

Great, a SWAT Mikey and repainted Casey!! Any pics? I'll hafta pick this up when I arrive in New York on Saturday afternoon :D How much did the set cost?

This set sound great. I love the SWAT repaints. I'm very happy that Playmates released all 4 Turtles. I like these so much I want to open them. :D

Yess...Now that I can have all 4 TMNT in swat gear, they can be my future TMNT....all I lacked was Mikey....I was using Turtle Titan as the Future Mike....he was leader of ther new Justice forse with Silver Sentry's grandson.

Not exactly true, it didn't come out before they came out at the same time. Saw both the new Swat pack and the 3 vehicle combiners today. I agree it's still odd though.

Wait...you mean it's got diffrent armor and Mikeys pads are still brown...:( very disapointing....

I like the Turtlebot Re-paint the set looks cool. Too bad it's probly expensive

Yep. I didn't notice the pads at first since the armor was on. But Mikey sticks out like the proverbial sore thumb. I suppose he may just out rank the others so he gets real body armor instead of a baseball catcher's chest protecter painted black. But it's hard to imagine Mikey being in charge.

:( I was using the S.W.A.T TMNT as my Future Turtles...I even had an explination for the black padding....it was a symbol of their morning the loss of master Splinter. :( I guess I'll just have to pain him....wait....Does the box art show the pads black or brown?

Hey tmntman, it doesn't say in your review but does Casey still have his action feature?

Am I the only one that thinks including the Turtlebot and repainting him was a really cool idea? He's my favorite of all the SWAT repaint figures, he suits the theme and looks great! Playmates have really dropped the ball on Mikey though, the armour and colour of the pads just make him stick out like a sore thumb from the other 3 turtles.

The photos on the box are correct, or incorrect as well. They show the brown pads.

Yes, the spring loaded waist is still present.

Yea, they did mess up with Mikey...I wonder why they would do that.. I mean, they have to know he doesnt match the rest of the turtles... oh well
