I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but there hasn't been a single Gen or Hamato Yoshi on ebay in many weeks, and only two Blanques in that timeframe.

I've never even once seen one of these characters in any toy store, and I hit up at least a dozen stores every week.

What is going on here?? Is anyone STILL finding these, or are they the shrotest run of any Ninja Turtles figures ever?

Yea i know...i remember when the wave first hit, i saw a few Yoshis, Blancs, and Gen pop on ebay, with Gen normally fething around $30...but that was weeks ago...and as a constant surfer on eBay I can tell you that I haven't seen even ONE of the above mentioned in a long, long time.... I never seen them in stores either, only Feudal Shredder....hopefully they didnt stop making them cuz that would really, really suck...

Same here. Only Feudal Shredder with Robo Hunters. Several stores near me have only got Montster Trappers & Combat Warriors.

oWell there are several possibilities, and with these 3 figures being in such large demand by fans (even Quarry got fans bitching at playmates) I'm sure they didn't stop production. Though if they didn't sell well to kids then it's possible.

I'm guessing there was either a delay in shipping (customs or something, like the boat carrying them over was stopped at bay and not allowed to take the figures to the distribution center) or they're holding on them until the Christmas season is over so that they can clear out the over stock of TMNT figures like the ninja action figures.

It's even possible that a super retailer like Wal-Mart cut orders saying they won't buy more until their over stock clears out (or playmates does something to make them clear out). Then other retailers like Toys R Us and Target decide to do the same thing becuase they probably are in the same situation as wal-mart (I've never seen a store not stocked with tons of deluxe tmnt figures like mutations or ninja action).

I want a Gen so bad. In January or February I had a dream where I found a Gen action figure, and ever since, I have looked. I don't get it. It's like Playmates is spitting at my dream, calling it a false prophet or something.

Quarry's a lost cause, but I'm shocked at the drought in TMNT product, which used to be very easy to find. Playmates better not make the TMNT line dead in the water like Jakks did to DBZ.

I found a Gen in Ireland as soon as they started shipping in the States, I was really lucky! I've seen a few of him since in a few stores. I picked up Blanque today in a Walgreens in Chicago though, I couldn't believe it when I saw him :D The'paint application is terrible though, he's got orange spots on his face and green splashes on his trousers

Oz has missed out on a lot of figs. We haven't got any non-turtle figs since Foot TEch Ninja. There have been singular sightings of Silver Sentry and a Triceraton, but that was months ago :(

Well, I guess I feel better knowing it could be much worse over here in the states... :)

I have yet to see anything new besides the robo hunters and a few of the new Shredder.
I have a Usagi, Only seen him once and I grabbed him up. But I wouldent worry too much I bet there will be a huge release around christmas.
So far Playmates has made every figure in the line fairly easy to come by releasing figures multiple times.

You know.... I've been having this problem for some time now! Not just something new with Genoske..... all the way back when they line had characters like Utroms, Fugitoid, Triceritons...etc. I found mounds and mounds of the inane varients, and maybe, just maybe one original character. Shell, it took me damn near forever to even find Leatherhead. The only time I've seen ANY of the non-varients was at a Kohls. Everyone But Genoske was there. had I had money (and wanted to spen 8 bucks per fig) I'd've gotten a few. It's very disappointing. I mean, in the 80's line, at least they had verients of characters OUTSIDE of the Turtles. Annoying!

In fact, I see a lot more of the crappy mutation/Sky Turtles/Battle Tops figures than even the regular line now.
It's a mixed bag that I am in the same boat as everyone else. I mean, I'm not alone, but no one can help me, either.

I got Blanque at Wal-Mart back in June, but haven't seen Yoshi or Gen yet. I'm sure they'll show up soon enough again, probably in larger numbers for the holidays, since they barely shipped anywhere yet.

After being across the States from New York to LA I only found one Blanque (in a Walgreens in Chicago) and zero Yoshis or Gens. I must have been to close to a hundred stores with TMNT :( I'll just have to get Yoshi off eBay I guess.

I finally got a Hamato Yoshi a couple of days aga. My nephew called me from Kohl's and asked if I needed Yoshi. I told him to hook it up, and I will give him the money when I see him. Kohl's is more expensive, but after seeing thousands of turtles variants everywhere, it was nice to get a new figure.
By the way, I am in Joliet, IL. so they are out there somewhers

I found Gen at Target and bought him. The next day when I had more money I picked up Yoshi. They didn't have any Blanques, so I went to Wal-Mart, which had several Yoshis and two Blanques, one of which I bought. I have a feeling that it will become easier to find these figures as it gets closer to Christmas; the other basic figures are starting to show up in the new packaging as well. Casey looked really cool, they changed his pose a bit.

Yea, I've finally found latest wave including GEN! I've seen Yoshi and Blanque in a number of stores already and quite a bit of them but only 1 Gen...i also Casey in the new packaging...one more set for the variation hunters among us...

In the last two/three weeks, Gen has gone from going for about $50 on Ebay to the current Buy It Now of about $12-15 so I am assuming the American market has been flooded by the new figures.

It is the time of year for all the new toys. I got a second job just because in the next three months will be the majority of new TMNT toys and I don't want to miss any. My second income is my TMNT income... You guys probably understand, but my coworkers stare at me like I am nuts. =P

OA
10-21-2005, 04:19 PM
Yea, i completely understand..besides such variety, with alot of figs/vehicles going for $10 a pop, to get them all you pretty much have to have a second job (or a very well paying 1st one...)

It gets worse when you live outside the US. Half the figures never make it overseas so to get some you gotta pay eBay prices with postage on top of that.

It's constant guess work as to which will show up here aswell. I've paid over the odds for a lot of figures that ended up coming out in Ireland. Then there's figures I thought would definetly come out here (the Deep Divin' TMNT) and they never did, so I gotta import them too.

Thanks to my 31 hours of college a week and continuous assessment based course I can't get a job until next summer, when a lot of the TMNT out now will be hard to come by:(

Oh I do fully understand. I am pulling about 40 hours of University a week... And I have a part time job that I enjoy and basically hold onto (work weekends) because a few years at a job looks good...

But for the most part I have made myself promise to only collect the figures (and the playsets which only has included the Sewer) but the problem there is things like the SWAT packs, and the motorcycles which have vehicles AND a figure. So I must buy those. That is why I am not thrilled about the Mech Wrekkers...

Just across the border we are so many waves behind and I don't know what will come out and what will not. Just recently we got the Ninja Knights and the Battle Nexus turtles... but as for bad guys, where the Americans got the Battle Nexus foes, all I've seen here that was recently released was the Giant Mouser. I was thrilled to get it.

I try to avoid Ebay with hopes that I can get them at price eventually. I did buy two of the Deep Divin Turtles on there because I rarely see them on Ebay and they aren't available through Toysrus.com or Walmart.com.

I do sympathize and if I can help you get any at cost, let me know. We don't have much selection up here... The 'after Thanksgiving releases' were -

Monster Trappers
Air Ninjas
Ninja Knights
Battle Nexus Turtles
Giant Mouser
Combat Warriors
Mech Wrekkers

I check the stores regularly so if something I would determine as hard to find comes out, I'll let you know!

No problem... As a TMNT collector outside the US, I know what a struggle it is... Anything to make it easier!

I need a Deep Divin' Leo so when I ran into that I figured you would be on the same distribution as the UK, or pretty similar! So hopefully that saves you a few $$$ and makes the search a tiny bit easier!
