Ive had no luck finding vintage Turtles anywhere locally. None at any local flea market and almost none at any Comic shop. Ive searched over multiple citys. Anyone else have any better luck ?
Ive given up and enjoy Ebay.

I've found several OT videos....but that's about it....
Check goodwills, slavation armys, and thrift shops....might find some neat loose figs or vehicles...or any other random item...ebay will get you just about anything you need...but those other places might snag you an item or two as well

Problem with thrift shops is the figures never seem to have their weapons and the vehicles are missing their accessories.
I try to have my collection as complete as possiable.
I even have a file card for almost all of my loose figures with only a few not being complete.

I try to check all the garage sales in my areas. You may want to wait for those planned community garage sales. My area for example is planning to have one this September. I'm hoping to find some good stuff.
You can also check ads in the paper & bazaars where vendors rent spaces. There's a huge bazaar in my state. It's called Traders Village. It's filled with all kinds of stuff. I always find something each time I'm there. Though, I only go there about twice a year since it's such a long drive. :ohwell:
I've had great success Trading with people online. :D Makes me wish I would have started sooner. Sign up and post at several different forums. It works well for me.
I also use eBay and online vendors a lot. Check as many comic shops as you can. Ask the owners if they have the items you're looking for. Print up your want list with contact information and give it to the comic shop owner as well.
I have tons of extra weapons and parts for vintage figures. If you're missing something maybe I can help you. Send me a PM if you like.

I've found some good stuff at some garage sales and flea markets, but never as much as I thought I would. It seems vintage TMNT mostly were sold a few years ago and I just missed it (according to every garage sale seller I ask). But I've found a clothing bag, some good figures like Robotic Rocksteady and Winged Warrior Don, but never have found a Shogun Triceraton or a Technodrome. Videos are usually found too, but mostly the BK ones like Sky Turtles and never ones like Cyber Turtles.
I agree that Goodwills are pretty good and with or without weapons, some figures you shouldn't pass up. But there are always loose weapon lots on ebay, and like TMNTGal, a lot of us have tons of extra accessories to get rid of from lots bought off of ebay and other places. But I've found a Mutant Module and a TMNT T-shirt (my size) at Goodwill off hand.
Flea Markets are another story. I don't know where you are located, but your best bets are the bigger flea markets or the weekly ones. The more people there the better the chance, plus you can sometimes find MOC ones too. I've found that the smaller ones at churches and fire houses end up with nothing all that great, but that could just be my area too. Comic Cons can also yeild results, at Wizard World this year I found a MOC Raph with Pop-up Display for 15$ and a friend got a loose complete purple belted Slash for 2.00$.
One of the biggest problems I've found in my area is the timing. There are a lot of toy hunters at Garage sales, and even by 10am there is nothing left but broken Power Rangers and such. So to find all the stuff, you need to plan out the morning with the paper and get out before they even start. I always hear about people in my area going to them while they are setting up, the sellers hate it, but they still sell since they want to get rid of the stuff. I know whenever I have a yard sale we get the Record guys here before we are set up.

Ive actually had ASTOUNDING LUCK at these! I even bought a MASSSSSSIVE Collection a while ago! Lots and Lots of TMNT items ranging from toys to lamps to Candles!
So i definetly know flea markets are the place to shop for tmnt, as most ppl dont see it as a collectible like SW or other toy lines.
I've only found a few items myself...but I enjoy walking those places anyways...so finding a tmnt item is just a bonus...

I bought 1988 Michelangelo and 1988 Rocksteady from the toy show I went to last month. There wasn't a lotta Turtles figures so I'm glad I bought the ones I did even though they didn't come with weapons. There's gonna be another toy show in December. I know of a collectible store that sells some loose and MOC TMNT vintage figures. They have a pretty good selection. I recommend checkin' out toy shows, comic book stores, conventions, and Good Will. I wouldn't have Good Will be my primary source cuz some of the figures they have might be broken.
