Does anyone know the issue number where Bruce finds out his parents killer? I got in an argument over it today and I need the issue number to prove I'm right.

Well. you're right, and you're wrong.. if your talking about the golden age batman.. no one knows who the killer is. and the killer only really killed his father.. and then from grief his mother died two seconds later.. the silver age batmans parents were killed by joe chill... now to the modern age. or "post crisis" version of batman, this batman doesnt know who killed his parents. its the one crime he has never been able to solve.

I like Jeph Loeb and all, but man was that a stupid idea.

"John Corbin was in Gotham that night...and he owned a gun! Clark, why didn't you tell me!?"

World's Greatest Detective?

But couldn't you have at least used Spoiler-tags? :D

But seriously, am I the only one who is sometimes heavily confused by continuity and not in continuity?

So Batman Year Two is't in continuity, but Year One is?

Jeph Loeb's Long Halloween replaced Year Two: Fear the Reaper as continuity. Jeph Loeb's Dark Victory also replaced Year Three: The Gauntlet in continuity.

I guess if you're reading TPBs the best way to go with the first 3 years of Batman's career is:

Year One
Man Who Laughed
Four of a Kind
Long Halloween
Dark Victory
Robin: Year One

There are a couple small continuity errors (Two-Face has a brief cameo at Arkham in Four of a Kind, which takes place before Long Halloween) but for the most part the TPBs read really smoothly.
